Looking For A Good Compact Digital Camera

I've been thinking of investing in a compact digital camera, something small that I can bring with me easily when I'm not in the mood to carry around my DSLR.

Looking for something small, light, and under 700-800$

Any recommendations?

Canon s100 or s110 if you want it that small. Search s110 on my flickr, there's a bunch from it on there. Awesome camera for what it is. I don't have any issues with it, although I'm not picky.

The pop-up EVF is worth the money alone.

Every time I think about buying a digital camera, I see the dynamic range examples and immediately stop wanting one.
