Movies or online edits?

One movie segment? Or one full movie? Because I don't think that edits will ever be able to replace the flow, variety and vibe of a full length ski movie.

I would much prefer a number of edits that showcases a rider's whole season in much greater detail and flow opposed to a movie that is just loaded with bangers and void of all lifestyle content. I want to understand the background story and the emotions of the riders as they embark on their shredtastic adventures! TC does a great job of incorporating this kind of stuff and I would love to watch characters like B-Dog and Edollo in a similar context. Additionally I feel as though edits give the riders a lot more say into what actually gets put out. For example I loved productions like Ahmet's Flip The Script and pwhite/clo' The Big Picture more than their film segments from years past.

A couple b-edits in a season and the bangers for the segment. I miss seeing certain athletes really dedicate to having one banger ass segment. It's tough though because obviously you've gotta keep up with the times and everyone's focusing on web distribution right now to compete with each other. I love all the free content but miss having dedicated seg's. They are starting to become a thing of the past.

im into edits. they do get lost forever into the interweb until some nostalgic nser feels the need to bring it back, but I like seeing tricks that may not make the cut for a movie segment, but are still really interesting to me or another viewer.

An annual movie for sure. It has way more romance and hype about it. online edits saturate the web and you become numb to it. Ski movies are all about the best of the best and gathering to watch it. I do think movies have got way too long these days though. How about biannual movies?

Edits have many perks. Instant gratification. Exponential skill progression through exposure to what is happening instantly. More opportunity to show b grade footy and the little guys.

So lets think about this.

3-5 online edits a year. Gotta be 4-5 minutes a piece at least to even be worth putting online. Also, these have to be put out during the season, not afterwards, limiting time to edit.

1 movie segment, here you deal with a minimum time limit of 4-5 minutes otherwise why even have a separate segment. Also it allows you spend a summer editing the footage.

Its pretty clear which one give you the better product. You are going to place footage that would normally be thrown away in a movie just to add length, and you cannot take the time and care to edit it.

Hey remember Sean Pettit's segment from In Deep?

^ that doesn't work with internet edits, shit gets lost forever minus a very select handful of edits.

Beyond fucking stoked for this, I watch GBP shit more than I watch any ski shit. If Its a movie that inspired and GBP do together then that If not soup kitchen for dayzz

its 2014 and content is king, so the more content the better...

simple solution... use the park shots for the edits

for the hard work and dedication it takes to ride big mountain, build kickers, and hit urban... keep that shit for the big movie at the end

Im sorry but movie segments get lost forever too except for the select few. That is not unique to edits in my opionion.

Truuuuuuuuu, will never ever get old of the junkpark edit,the good edit, a day and a half at breck.....Also the edit soulsking by maximillian smith....but there also mo view segments that have really stuck with me as well, but the good edit made me want to actually get into skiing a lot more seriously. Also nimbus, but they're like the wierd in between, but damnnnn that nippon episode...


Tdlr I love them both but an edit made me start skiing srsly
