Actually considered buying one for historical purposes and to enrich my book collection from the local Amsterdam, Totalitarian Art Gallery. But the books have now been seized and a court case is coming up against the owner for 'spreading hatred', quite ridiculous really since you can just download it in a few clicks.
My favorite book of all time is the Deathly Hallows. It's weird, I know.
But on a serious note there is sooooo much to read. Giving tips out of the blue is a bit hard. Hemingway is always good. Easy to read, lots to think about, and generally pleasing. Or if you like fast paced more modern stuff, Dan Brown is actually really nice. There's almost zero depth to the characters, so you don't really have to worry about them, just enjoy the action. Or if you're still in school, or just young at heart, read at least on John Green. They're actually very well written. I'd start with Looking for Alaska, and then Paper Towns.
And if you haven't, Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit.

I listened to a portion of the audio version on Youtube, it'd be kinda sweet to have a hard copy are they normally hard to get?
The Pendragon Series, D.J. MacHale. It just keeps getting better throughout and is simply raw as fuck. It is kind of the classic "young adult" fiction series but it gets pretty heavy at the end and the characters actually are very well developed. Simple the most well done series I have read.
"The Transmigration of Timothy Archer" - Phillip K. Dick
What I have recommended is all quite psychedelic if you're into that kind of thing. These books make you question what it means to be human and the circumstances you find yourself within.
The Cuckoo's Calling, American Junkie (one of my fav books), The Road, Fight Club, LOTR, It's Kind Of A Funny Story, I Am The Messenger, and oddly enough Gray (by Pete Wentz) was really good.

Wildly varies, depends on print, country of buyer/seller and a few other things. They did print quite a few of them so they are not as uncommon as say a Crouwel book so they are not that expensive in general.
If you actually want to read it get an eBook/.pdf of the Reynal & Hitchcock translation, by far the best, it has no bias nor does it appear to endorse his words. Avoid the Manheim edition, scholars may scoff at you but a word-for-word translation is just plain annoying and confusing to read at times.

Everyone should read this book, it honestly changed my life. On the surface it is about getting rich, but it's real lesson is about how to achieve your goals and build the life you want, regardless of what your goals truly are.
I almost got assaulted four months ago in the underground when I was reading it. A well minging post-menopausal woman with short red dyed hair and an outfit that somewhat resembled the bottom of the bargain bin at the Primark. She started screaming "PEDO!!! PEDO!!! "in the underground and tried to grab my bag for some asinine reason, I pushed her away and she started going mental, but before she could damage me or worse, my bespoke parka that took one year to arrive at my place, an enormous black man akin to John Coffey in Green Mile stood up, rose above us all and unveiled his incomprehensibly thight denim shorts.
He walked towards her moving his legs like two marble statues with such a display of primal strength that he made the cabin shudder (or we hit a bad part of the track and he just timed it well). His veins lay on his pronounced muscles as a network of industrial sized cables. Then he said with a mighty voice: "Sit down woman." and assumed his place again. Everyone was silent and in awe, then some kid broke the silence by pointing at her nether region and laughing, her leggings were stained, she had sprung a leak out of fear or because of an age related malfunction.
She left at the next station, I walked towards the enormous rock sitting motionless on a bench. I thanked him but got no response, he merely stared straight ahead. Strange lad.
World War Z is very good, does not relate to the crappy movie at all. Is an allegory to what actually happened in World War II, and is written different form any other novel I've read.
