Camera/Photo Camera Question

Hey guys! I was hoping I could score a bit of assistance and or opinions from you all.. More recently I've been involved in the unmanned aerial movement (drones) but i'm going to be making a transition back into video production without a drone and i'm looking to get my hands on something thats good quality and reputable.

I've taken a few years off from school but i'm going to be going back next semester for computer technology and maybe a minor in photography or something along those lines, and basically i'm trying to score a good camera thats going to get me through school and get the job done the right way...

I'm not really concerned about price margin, just want to be reassured i'm getting long lasting quality and good imagery along the way. Any suggestion you guys have for me it would be greatly appreciated, i'm not the most educated on the whole video camera/ still camera movement right now at all and would really love to become apart of it.

I will be recording/snapping all different kinds of actions sports locally.

If your interested in filming action sports i.e. you'll need a high frame rate camera. If you want it for photography and video I would recommend the Nikon D5300 as it shoots at 60fps at 1080p and is the cheapest camera with these specs($750 on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-D5300-Digital-Camera-Built/dp/B00FXYT12G). My friend has this camera and has been very happy with it's performance and although Nikon's are that widely used on NS (most people seem to use Canon, including myself) I would highly recommend it. Especially because Nikon's old manual lenses are much cheaper and unlike Canon they will fit on without an adaptor. If money really isn't an issue then you'll want the Lumix Gh4 as it has the same 60fps at 1080 however for just over 1500$ your paying for the great lowlight visuals, full frame sensor and 4k capabilities.
This is just my personal opinion and as no more than an amateur film maker, you may wanna wait for a more experienced person to offer their decision.

GH4 isnt full frame...

I'd second a D5300, such a solid camera for not much money.

Awk moment when I mucked that..... however admittedly I know next to nothing about GH4s cuz they're WAY out of my price range. But yeah D5300 is unreal for the money

Why not a GH3 then? you can get em used for less than 750 on ebay and stuff.

admittedly though, the D5300 does have a slightly bigger sensor and a few things the GH3 doesn't.

I like the ability to adapt to almost any glass with the M4/3 mount though
