I have been looking for some suspenders that are long enough to sag with, tried using string to make suspenders longer but OCD decided that was a bad idea. Also, not looking for tree forts because they are pretty pricy, and already know about saga suspenders.
Tree Forts might be a little more expensive than suspenders by other companies, but I think there are reasons behind that. The suspenders are made from really durable material and they are hand made in the USA. I think the quality of the product far outweighs the extra 10 or 15 dollar cost when compared to other brands' prices. And it is one of the most awesome companies in the industry. I love Tree Forts. They are the best. And damn they look good.
I have the armada ones and they are pretty good, I think that they were $30 but if you want to support a small company the treefort ones are only 15 bucks more
Tree fort. The Armada and Line suspenders I have used broke pretty quick. The treefort ones are way more durable and have some pretty excellent features.
Saga suspenders never held for me. I like the armada ones i have now but the treefort ones with the belt loops are the only ones that you know will actually stay on when you fall or land hard.
using shoelaces is also a very good option that i would take over saga suspenders
once when i took my suspenders off my shoulders and they were dangling around my shins, they got caught in on the chairlift and they had to stop the chair so i didn't go round again. Worst moment of my skiing life so far.
ive had some armada's, they get pretty slack after a month or two.. if you ski a lot that is. Currently on the general by treefort, and i think you should invest your money in that even tho they're kind of pricey.
treefort is a superior product by far in our suspender realm, although as said above the price is a bit higher (but it's worth every last penny). The adjustment uses a simple velcro strap that is much easier and tougher than your typical metal slide-adjustment piece. Not to mention all the parts that make up the tree fort suspenders can be easily replaced if ripped (they're strong but it will happen if you're skiing super hard at some point) with just a quick e-mail to them.
that's coming from my dealing with them (both product and owners) in retail at Slope Style, I still use shoelaces as they are still the most un-inhibiting option to me and no suspenders offer the amount of freedom you get from simple shoelaces (although I only use the saga ones since they're longer than normal ones)
