Super sick shop. Every since I bought a wakeboard for 75% off in 03/04 I've been grabbing stuff there. Once they got big the outlet kind of died off as there was so much business but whatever.

Hadn't bought that much in recent years. Had a gift card to use and decided to buy my board bag from them. I derped super hard and forgot about the 4th when ordering. I thought 3 day would get it here on friday. Then I realized I was an idiot after I ordered. I freaked out. A $200 + board bag isn't going to do me any good if it get's here after I left. I called to see if there was any chance it would go out that day and make it thursday in 3 days. Wasn't likely. Then I was asking if I could upgrade the shipping or cancel and reorder with upgraded shipping. The guy said it would be easier if they just did it. I asked if he needed my card number again he said no, we won't even charge you.

The whole phone convo of saving lives only took maybe 4 min. I was on the road at the time, didn't need to read off the order or card number.

The best part. Somehow it just got to me. I was expecting it tomorrow. The UPS guy pulled up and I was thinking there's no way it's for me.





Sparknotes: I'm an idiot and evo saved the day because they're awesome. Buy shit from them.



A decade of using their online store and still lovin it.

evo is pretty great but ime backcountry will hook it up even better. their return policy is crazy.

I've gotten a few things there. Bought an avalanche shovel 12 ish years ago and probably a few other things. I never really return anything though.

Evo actually has a store front too, not just a fatty online shop like Backcountry. I get all my shit from either the Seattle Snowboard Connection (Sno Con) or Evo and I generally go to their physical store to make my purchase. Employees are all awesome, most are shredders. They get a free set up (board/skis and bindings) once per year for free which is cool. Also when I bought an outlet 2012 snowboard in 2013 and it broke, I took it in to them and they replaced it with a 2013 model of the same board for free. Pretty sick shop. I highly recommend checking it out if you are ever in Seattle.

IF I'm ever out there I'd like to check it out. I'm on the opposite side of the country. I love going to the physical stores of places you've done online or catalog business with.

Its cool to get there and mingle with the peoples and see whats good. Honestly I would rather buy shit in person any time anyway. Unfortunately my location is classified as frontier so there isn't shit around for me to do that.

Someday I'll rock out the northwest

I've gotten a few things from them. I think mostly bindings recently. They always have great prices, and they threw in a few $10 liftopia credits for free. I will probably use them for everything I don't get at my local shop.

I love both shops. Evo is great because it is much more oriented towards "youth" IMO than Backcountry, but Backcountry has great reviews.

It is a win win with both.

To the OP, I know how you feel. Nothing is better. I had to do the same a few years ago.

Super sick store, chill employees, and they are also pretty knowledgeable. Went there to get my boots fitted and heat molded, it was a very satisfactory experience. Some awesome deals too during their sales

if you really wanted you could return that shovel i bet, I've heard stories of people returning things there they bought ages ago. bc or evo are my go to stores for ordering gear online.

I like it though. Folds up into a backpack and was used to several hundred booters at different mountains over the year.

I'd spend half the day building shit sometimes then it would get wrecked by patrol or the cat and I'd rebuild. Life was tough when a lot of places still weren't building parks.


Dug through the crust of snowmaking piles a few times and made some huge hips and what not. The good old days. Now I just use it to dig out cars out of the snowbank when I see people stuck on my way to the mountain. Not as exciting but shes still got life in her.
