so in my town there is not much to do, one of the few of them is the old abandon tower on privet property, so the door to this tower is blocked up by these 6 huge cement blocks not solid but still square cubes 4 feet square each stacked 2 wide 3 high. the top one used to be moved back enough to get behind but it has been slightly pushed back to where i can't fit anymore. i can get a rope around it but iv tried everything i can think of and no movement and i can't anything i can't carry in there and makes a allot of noise. all of this has to be done like a ninja night mission. any ideas?
Ribss.I move boulders at my house with a crank lever and strap. Basically a hand powered winch.
tried a come along and it keeps breaking my chain and other shit i could do allot of rigging but i need something simple and quick so if i get busted i can drop that shit and run and not be out 500$ in rope chain and other gear I'm thinking a lever
ya but i need to make one and i don't feel like buying anything, i about 100 feet of steel chain link fence post and a crowbar won't work at all and it steal needs to be light enough to carry half a mile

is the chain link fence post made out pipe? slip that over a mid sized crow bar and you got yourself quite a bit of leverage to work with.

ya but the hook on the crow bar is not long enough, but you did give me a idea... weld a longer hook on it and just brining the pipe to act as a cheater pipe. 2 peaces makes for easy carry. hmmm this might just work
BAHA thats funny you think its a slack line, i got a good lol.
but also i said i tried to move it with a come along and chain, a come along is like a jack strap except you can get much more pull from it before you have to reset it and you also can pull harder with it. but maybe using the strap over the chain would be a good idea as well.
serenade it with a love song, then cook it a nice spaghetti dinner with some candles. At this point the cement block should be head over heels for you, so show it your pongis. It won't be able to say no, so thats when you bang it. You will talk about marriage and a future after, while spooning. This is when the block will be most vulnerable, so sneak out while it is sleeping and when it wakes up, it will be heartbroken. So heartbroken that it will move in with its mother, giving you a way into the building. then bang her exponentially hotter sister block to rub it in.

I lifted a 1500 LB log with one when it fell on my rope bridge. I can't imagine a 4 x 4 foot block of concrete would weigh more than that. Even if it does, there are some 3 inch straps that are even beefier. I pick these up at harbor freight tools. They are usually about $18 but worth it. You might want to try spraying some water on it which could make it slide easier.

i have everything mentioned so far in this thread , yes including the crane... just no way to get it back there because its not sneaky... so don't have to buy much of anything just find away to use the tools together haha ill go do some recon tmrw night, i may be lucky and be able to wedge a bottle jack in between it and the wall but ill have to wait and see.

Dude, if your come-a-long is failing then it's a piece of garbage. I've done some rather absurd things with a come-a-long. Like move boulders, pull out destroyed fenders, assist in pulling down trees, etc.
As SeaCaptain (aka Capt. Obvious) pointed out a simple iron pry bar from a hardware store is cheap, and as long as you can bash it to get a good grip and have a solid leverage point there's few things you shouldn't be able to move.

I had no clue that was called a come along... wow..
That isn't working for you? I've moved boulders that must have weighed over a ton with mine.
At work we use a block and tackle for moving stone into place, it is similar to the hand winch I think but doesn't need reset each time, just works with gears. It weighs about 10kg and can move an object about 3m. All you would need to do is anchor it and wrap a sling around the concrete and then start working the chain, it is quiet also and can easily be carried in a small rucksack.
Should be able to pick one up for around $40 - $50
i know this should be easy! thats why I'm pissed iv failed 2 times to move it, and no my come along didn't break my chain did, but any who can't go out there tonight got plans with the bitchs but soon!
