Replying to Washing ski boot liners?

So I was messing around with my boots today, and took one of my liners out to notice that there was mould developing on the outside of the liner. I immediately checked the other boot to see if it had a similar problem, but it was fine.

I remembered I was victim to a game of shoe last year, so proceeded to drink a beer from my boot (claim), so I'm guessing the yeast or something in the beer has caused this.

I dried my boots all the time last season at the end of the season.

Does anyone have any advice for cleaning/washing liners?

I know this should be gear talk but I wanted responses pretty urgently!
