so call me a butthurt bitch or whatever but im 21 and noticing more and more people around me are getting involved with drugs and it pisses me off. I drink here and there and have a beer or 2 on the daily, i smoke weed on and off (more off than on), and i take adderall for USEFUL reasons such as studying related/long work day related/strenuous activities, and only around 10 times a year. All 3 of these substances i take and the way i use them are technically "abuse". Drinking a bit to relax after a day of work is technically dangerous because im technically "dependent" on it, smoking weed to relax because again its for a reason and is still illegal were i am, and "abusing" adderall because i dont have a prescription for it but still use it as an advantage to focus/do work.
So looking at all of this i consider myself an almost "above average" substance user. I mean im a very fit and active person and sometimes drinking can get in the way of that and i REALLY like to get muffed up with my boys and raise hell once or twice a week, but i control it and could never drink again if i had a good reason not too. I never see any need to cross the line and do something that's proven to seriously harm you.
What annoys the shit out of my is the large large population of people i know and that surround me that regularly use shit like molly, methadone, acid, and coke. Its common knowledge that shit like that 100% is very harmful, can do permanent damage AND is addicting most of the time and yet almost everyone thinks its ok to do regularly. My girlfriends idea of a good time and all she fucking talks about lately is doing some special lsd she got off the black market. Why the fuck do people resort to doing shit like this? Theres literally a thousand things that are fun to do that dont have to be drugs. Go on a hike, go fishing, do a sport, hang with friends, learn to sew, paint, anything. I was talking to some buddys the other night and all there hype to do is do molly and lay around each others houses. Not go on a hike, not work, not anything. All i fucking heard about was laying in the grass and how cool the trees looked?
I dont understand this. Is this like normal? Im not scared to experiment with shit i just see absolutely no need to do something thats expensive, harmfull and addicting while i can go fishing or longboarding and have way more fun?
Sparknotes: Why does everyone do drugs and think its ok? Why will people risk there health and mind on drugs while they could easily find something better to do thats not drugs?
