Relationships are beneficial, and they're also shitty. Pretty sure that's how it works unless soul mates are a legitimate thing.

For me that's both romantic and relations with friends. Maybe I'm just antisocial or something.

Part time kid at work is a pretty chill senior but he sits on his phone infront of the 3 guys in charge of us and has to get asked a lot to do work, he also takes his time parking cars, to get a juul rip or two. We hired a new guy cause this kids leaving for lacrosse, he's playing in college, but he didn't let us know he had a few free weeks left til last week...

Luckily the guy we hired is a 40+ year old who needs extra money cause his grandkids live with him...Nobody over 30 should have my job.

respect that guys grind, i had a housekeeper when i worked at snowbird who had 12 people living in her house. she had kids, and her grand kids all living under one roof and here she is working 7am to 11pm just to get by. its fucked up man but thats the reality of some and it makes you a bit thankful and appreciative for stuff, but at the same time youre like "why am i getting rewarded more than people who literally have no free time because they are working so that their kids can have free time?"

When you're super fucked up and can't remember where anything is. Pretty much that heady head injury life. I spent all this time looking for my goggles today. Eventually found them but had no idea where they were. Dialed it in to having them at work, wasn't sure if they made it to the car, in the car, or in my house. Was freaking out because I've only used them twice, spent 90, and I'm fucking poor after loosing 1.5 weeks of work being sick.

Also took me 20 min to find my keys to check my car which they weren't in.

I have to leave everything in specific places. I have multiple white boards and write notes about where things are, what I need for the day, anything and everything. It's crazy. I legit can't remember shit. IT's so fucking frustrating.

On the plus I'm feeling better other than a fever, and my roommate made me a cake and gave me $20 toward beers and a cake.

Idk. Head injuries are dumb though. When you used to be able to recite names, dates places, from all this stuff in history, be able to remember massive and somewhat complex patterns, and now sometimes you forget where you are and why your there. It's pretty fucking annoying.

i have the same issue....to a lesser degree but holy shit i cant remember anything. Girlfriend has to write me sticky notes all the time. Always losing stuff. Pisses me off so much

Luckily I'm calculating but I have to leave everything in certain places. Make sure everything's where it's supposed to be, get out of bed to double check, write notes, double check that I wrote notes. And still barely functioning.


Also meant to rant that I spent an hour off an on hold with amazon because they decided to ship something to my po box on my billion address that I've never ordered anything to. But they tried to save money and did the dual thang with ups and usps and shipping to my po box in ny when i live in california. Also took 7 days instead of 2 and failed to deliver which i was just alerted to a few hours ago.

And it's a roller for my back which has been fucked, and i really need. Hoping it's fucking sweet though. Has good reviews. knobby one so hoping for that deep tissue action.

Had a friend stop by today. Wasn't sure who he was or how I know him. I picked up quickly that it's either through snowboarding or music,but can't place a region, time etc.

Head injuries are dumb. Granted if I didn't meet so many people it would be easier, but still. Without my brain being shot I could remember things, now not so much.

I pulled it off well. Don't think he had any idea I didn't know who he was, and it wasn't weird We're gonna ride this week. Idk, nice running into more friends, but I wish I knew who the fuck they are and how I know them,

I'm not even sure how he got my number. I probably gave it to him but when? Maybe facebook friends? Fuck.

My university is dumb and they moved our spring break back a week. Headed out to targhee like we do every year. Super cheap and cool trip.

Unfortanetly targhee got 50+ inches over the past three days and couldn't wait for me. Hopefully we get another storm cycle or that there's some snow left next week

School pisses me off. I always understand what I’m being taught, but when it comes to writing a paper, or doing a project, or anything that requires lots of time and focus, I totally break down. I had all day to write a 2500 word research paper and the progress I made was minimal; typed less than I have in this post. I took Ritalin K-11 and was pretty productive, got good grades. I stopped taking it for two years because I didn’t think I needed it anymore, and a couple months ago I was represcribed. I think I’m going to start taking Vyvanse instead because Ritalin is kind of intense. Maybe I had a strong tolerance or something before, but when I take it now it feels like I’m on coke. It doesn’t even make me focused like it used to. I’m sweating and grinding my teeth the entire time and it makes me shit every 30 minutes. I’m typing this at 2 AM because I’m so god damn wired.

Ritalin is to coke what adderral is to meth. They’re very similar chemically and feeling wise.

First week of February, decided to buy a $99 rest of season pass at The Rock Snowpark. Went twice so... ~$60 value. Cue me fucking up my foot from running, then 2 weeks of 50 degree plus weather. Now I'm finally back able to ski and they're closed for the season. Fuck my life.

Yeah i would say pretty much completely. Memory was very good before especially with numbers and patterns. Also history.

Got a perfect score on my us history state test even though I got kicked out of class probably 1/3 of the days lol. Teacher was pissed that I did well.

Now I remember bits and pieces of bistory luckily but its frustrating knowing you know or knew something and not being able to remember. I guess on the plus I get to lwarn new stuff all rhe time even if ive learned it 8 million times.

Idk, could be way worse. Super lucky. Had bad headaches for a year and ahalf after one. Those almost completely went away. That shit was lame so im stoked about that.

Also after the really shitty one i was pretty much retarded. Would look at a person in front of me and be like "wait, were we just talking" Would be somewhere and not no why i was there, if i came with anyone, if i was meeting someone, how i got there etc.

Luckily i didnt have to re learn to walk or anything, but i was using my walls to help me balance for a few weeks. Also had an issue with my footsteps even light feeling like i was pounding my head. Wore out shoes real fast because i shuffled.

Also almost got broken when i started hiking again after a year or so. I dont pick up my feet that high even now and will snag rocks and stumps sometimes. If i step off a curb wrong and plant my heel i fet dazed. But thats a shit ton better too.

I def made a ton of progress.

Obviously not supposed to snowboard or ski anymore but whatever. I keep it pretty mellow.

Id rather be at the mtn now and have fun than live old enough to not remember massive chunks of life and people i know.

I feel really bad for people that got that fucked up. Im super fucking lucky. My brain works well enough to survive and still enjoy things.

Im crankier sometimes and have a much lower tolerance for bullshit, but otherwise not too bad.

Watch yo heads peoples. Brains are cool l, but if you fuck with them it can be not so cool.

I have no idea if that made any sense. But spranotes yes

Why are people always such cocks about sending footage? I've been piecing together what is probably the greatest edit I will ever create, and one of my friends just won't send me several shots that I really need. It's been well over a month since I started asking. It pisses me off so bad, I help all sorts of my friends film at the hill and I always get them their stuff the next day. I'm gonna have to kill the bastard

Why can't we just fucking close the shop for once? No customers will be here cause it's still snowing steadily and there were 4 cars on schedule anyway, had to shovel a bunch and now I'm doing nothing along with the technicians. Of the few storms we've gotten this winter, all but 1 have been on a weekday, just want a fucking pow day for once, part time in the winter was so nice last year...
Bet I'll be here til 6 again cause the part timer will call out after already not having to go to school.

My buddy keeps flaking out on skiing. He knuckled a jump about 3 weeks ago and has been complaining about how bad his back hurts ever since. I wan't to be sympathetic but I can't help but be suspicious. I'm suspicious he had a relapse with pills etc and that's the real reason he lost his motivation to ski. Kinda think the opiate cravings create pain so that people think they need drugs. IDK I have a lot of chronic pain and I don't even take advil. Pretty sure I'm more banged up from my 50 days this season than he is from his 4 days. /rant

it sucks. I filmed a ton 08-2010 and ended up with non of it. Also 3 different people and still nothing. Was pretty bummed. Stopped riding hard after that as I got hurt a few days into 11-12. Don't have any footage off the good days even though we filmed it lol.

One camera got "lost" can't remember the other excuses. I wish I had been more tech savy then.

Filmed a friend last summer and had shots to send him but he didn't want to meet up ever. Then had a bad fall,was busy with work visa and planning travel, had just gotten back to the states was trying to have some chill time, then moved to co after i lost a job in CA was working a fuck ton. Actually was during x games he messaged me basically calling a piece of shit for not sending him the footage. I get that he thought i wouldn't give it to him, but i filmed for free, he wouldn't meet up with me then, and I was super fucking busy and stressed the next few months.

I ended up sending him all his clips that were good. Even went through and organized and labeled them and only sent him the good and the decent.

He chilled after but I was bummed for a bit at first after the messages he sent me. My friends straight took back their cams and deleted the fooatge.

Actually one friend i thought I'd never see my few shots, messages him being cool without blowing him up. one had a double back on it. Ended up making a season for our crew and throwing that in. Actually I think other friend took over footy and made the edit, but either way it didn't get deleted. I was glad. I got off of work at midnight and drove all night after picking up friends to get to loon for the last hike and huck. We were all way too tired to ride but got some alright shit. Was bummed my dub back was the only thing to surface. Friend got 10s and other friend had some epic bails.


RIP hike and huck.

Why not just work in SLC? I imagine there's less assholes paying extra to be mountainside that are still going skiing probably, but poor.

Hey man it could be serious. I knuckled a jump last may and Ive got back surgery sometime this summer. 2 slipped disks in my lower back and majorly pinching a nerve down in my leg. I haven't stood up straight since may.

if he can he should get an MRI just to whats up. I did 4 months of straight physio twice a week and didn't do fuck all. then went to get an mri to see what was up and it helped the physio out a bit. then I went to a chiropractor and it helped a bit but again nothing much. Just got done with my second set of cortisone injections which made the pain terrible. Now its surgery. YAY! All because I didn't have enough send on the jumps and too much send on the cliffs.

this old dude on soul7s clipped me in the lift line and made it out to be like I almost killed him and was all "slow the fuck down its not that good up there". then like this patroller lady started getting on my ass about shit and i just decided to smile back at them and say "im just gonna go ski some powder, have a good day guys".

and it was fuckin good you hoser, firsties down a fresh bowl with plenty of wicked slash turns. suck my dick.

Had my spare lens in my lens carrier which was in my pocket today....apperently my pocket was open and i lost both my spare low light and my case. Bleh.

Way more mad about losing the lens case. They seem pretty hard to find.

I filmed a bunch 09/10 on 2 different cameras. Maybe a bit on a 3rd. Ended up with nothing.
