OregonDeadCan you borrow another dog to look for her. Maybe the new dog will come to see another dog. If you borrow a hunting breed maybe it will smell or hear it. Used to borrow my neighbors golden to look for my beagle and it made it way way easier.

We got a guy with a scent dog out there, he caught a scent, but didn't finder her. I walked around the area where I saw her last with bacon in my pocket while posting signs and talking to businesses for a couple hours yesterday. I've posted to Craigslist, Facebook, local animal shelters, vets, and lost animal community sites.

Only parties on my bday once senior year which was great with the tight homies, last year I just got stoned while my mom and brother were home, now it’ll just be my mom since my brother moved out and my dad will be at SIA like almost every previous year. At least I’ll be 21 this year, I’ll buy a 6 rack, get stoned and eat wings as our family birthday tradition goes.

College doesn’t magically generate a social life. Sure, I had more friends in college, but in hindsight many of them were superficial friends, and since I really detest traditional partying and alcohol, I felt no drive to participate in the stupid parties that everybody never endingly took part in week after week. It’s always been this way for me. The only time I’m not lonely is during ski season, because I know pretty much all of the skiers in Ohio at this point.

Meh parties are lame IMO....Never Understood why people liked them so much. They were awesome freshman year when people were trying to meet people and stuff...but after that a good percent of them got weird...just groups of friends trashing other people house without really mingling or meeting people.

Idk I much prefer hanging out with just my buddies slamming brews and grilling and fucking around etc rather than going to some random house where I know 5 people and there is a bunch of frat dudes trying to fuck a drunk chick.

Plus once ski season kicks off I have 0 time for partying. Wake up at 6 ski till 3 or 4 and then hit the library. Repeat

I switched from mech eng to environmental and sustainability studies and then added geography later as a second major... tbh I really like almost all of my geography classes and most of my environmental ones. Just a little anecdotal evidence that not everyone is just "sticking with it"!

Yeah man. I here you. Like people busting you're window for under 10 bucks in change. Idk. I was really tired and lost my shit for a minute last night. Was freaking the fuck out. Luckily was able to calm down. Today i dealt with it.

Spent all day between the DMV, police, bank etc. Cancled cards, applied for new cards, new license, new AAA card, and other shit. Now I have to stay in NY for 2 days minimum till they come. Luckily my dude at the bank isn't an idiot, and expedited all my shit overnight. Won't go out till tomorrow though. The lady I talked to on the phone fucked things up worse and gave me bad info. Sucks the bank is an hour and a half each way just driving. But whatever.

What a wasted day though. Could have finished packing but nah. At least I calmed down and took it well today. I'm not good at loosing things like that in already high stress times in my life. I feel I did pretty well. Last night had some moments though.

I like the comment about the fresh breath though. I was saying today. At least I have a reason to buy a new wallet and get a new license picture, lol.

Some people have had crazy fucked up shit happen to them. I've had things happen, but I've been lucky enough to bounce back. I've had bad injuries, but they haven't killed me, they haven't kept me from living a decent life. I get that that's lucky enough, but some of the bullshit still grinds at me.

I'm a really nice trustworthy person. I can't fuck people over. On friday, somebody gave me $100 instead of a single for a ticket. I didn't even look because I wasn't paying attention. I spend almost an hour in the show trying to find them. First time, well I guess second time meeting them.

Tonight a friend ended up in a bad spot. Really nice guy but way too trusting. I tried to help him bail earlier but shit got worse. He's okay but just out a lot of money getting scammed. I've been on the phone with him the last 2 hours on and off calming him down, listening to him, giving him advice, getting him to go to security, trying to convince him to file a police report.

I told him to hit anybody else up, but if nobody will come through I'll give him a ride to his car tomorrow. He's an hour and a half or so away, and his car is another hour plus away, each way. I need to finish packing for my road trip to move to california(which is now delayed 2 days while I wait for my new CC's to get here). Also wasted all of today filling out paperwork, on the phone, and driving 4 hours out of the way to get to the dmv, sherrif, bank, etc and start replacing and fixing shit from my wallet getting stolen last night.

Don't get me wrong, if somebody I know, or even a friend of a friend really needs help, even in the middle of the fucking night call me. If it's in anyway possible, I will drive there, send them a few bucks, do anything.

That said I wonder. I have some great friends, I really do. Like my buddy that I've helped out in the past that hooks me up on car work from years ago till forever. Things like that. But if I was ever in a bind mentally or shit was going down. Idk. Idk who I'd call, who I could call.

Idk if karma or anything is real, but hoping that the universe get's that I'm really trying to do right by people and I don't get struck by a bolt of lightning or anything crazy. Seems like not much to ask for but recently Idk.

I guess I signed on for a life of adventure so that's what I get for better or worse, but it just bothers me when in normal casual places, shit still gets so fucked up.

I got robbed for $0 in Africa in 4 months this year(I know I got robbed bad last year but whatever) but 4 months. I get that it's all relative but people where I was aren't fucking starving, they're stealing because they're scumbags. I know it's fucked, but I really do wish some bad shit on them.

It's funny that my middle name is loyal. I guess I am to a fault sometimes. I'm naive but understanding. I get that the world is fucked. I've been to some fucked up places, and seen some fucked up things. I get that it's not all unicorns and rainbows. That said it still fucking bothers me. I wish so much better for people and this crazy planet we ride through day and night.

We all make mistakes but please don't be a douche. If you're not starving, and you're stealing from people you might be a scumbag. Don't so that shit. Idk. Cheers to any decent people out there. If somebodies ever in a bind and you can assist, don't overdraw/exert yourself but consider helping. The more fucked up things get the more calloused we become. The more likely to say "fuck you! Tough shit!" I don't want that though. Maybe it's naive, maybe it's juvenile, but I want to believe that people/ the world are good, and the world is a good place. I guess time will tell. I don't want shitty people to make me say fuck it all.

That's kind of toward a lot of things. Idk. Maybe it's too many people, maybe it's too many differences, but it's way too much bullshit.

I get that I post a lot in here, sometimes not for a while, but when I'm stressed and everythings kind of fucked, it helps me out. Typing out words, even if I'm rambling is therapeutic. I used to just troll the forums when I was stressed, but now I guess I just type nonsense in here.

Getting annoyed with a kid at work, he’s already super awkward but even though he could do good work, he’s lazy and hardly tries to work. Comes in 3 times a week 2-6 cause he’s at college nearby, but while I’m 6 hours into washing cars, he’s just watching me do most of the work.
Also complains and over exaggerates, wasn’t even busy and he was acting like it was hectic and doesn’t understand you get wet sometimes washing cars. Nice kid but damn it’s annoying, at least he cleans most of the gross shit.

He slacks but also he’ll do the basic work. He’ll come in and there will be cars to wash, but he’ll go and check in loaner cars while that’s what I should be doing, cause I’ve been working for 6 hours already and it’s easy. He’s the type of kid who you’d yell at and he’d become noticeably uncomfortable, he’ll ask me a question looking not next to, but away from me.

What the fuuucckk I worked my first 3 weeks of my new job before getting paid as I started late in the biweekly payroll. When I got paid I should’ve gotten roughly a grand after deductions or whatever, assumed the bank withheld some of it, but when I got my paper check it was for a normal 2 week schedule. Got paid today thinking I might get a lot, only got paid what I usually should. So now I’m missing a few hundred bucks.

My parents are kind of hoarders. Not the ones with the dead cats all over the house quite yet, but not that good. I didn't even want to bring friends over to the house after 15 or 16 years old. Maybe like 4 years ago when I was working up here I had a friend over once and played some video games, other than that nothing. I mean I haven't been around that much, and I went to high school and hour away, but even in junior high I wasn't too stoked about it. Then it was just local kids who had been playing at my house forever so didn't bother me.

Anyway I was supposed to leave like 5 days ago for CA. But a place to live fell through so I've been FBing, ewmailing, calling and figuring my shit out. decided to clean some stuff out while I was here. Kind of bit off more than I could chew but I'm making it work. Feels pretty good.

Usually only here for a week or two in the spring or fall so it's been hard to get shit done. Pretty stoked with the progress though. My sister is going to help a bit in the spring. Also found a couple people who I might be able to pay to mow the grass in the summer. If was pretty bad when I got back from Africa end of sept. I mowed it the one day I was here mid/late may. I think the front was mowed once, and the back never. It was fucked. Like saplings were starting to come up in the corner. Mowed several times the last month and have had the front back in shape for a while, and finally got the back in shape the last 2 mows.

My sister doesn't want any of my parents stuff, she's 3.5 hours away, has a house and family. I travel a bunch so I sure as hell don't want it. But hopefully we can knock some stuff out the next few years.

It's stressful though. I could do some more work on the small end tidying up a bit more but kind of out of time. Knocked out some massive volume though. 5 large boxes full of clothes, jackets, etc. A ton of trash. Recycled a bunch of stuff.

I remember my dad got mad at me 6 or 7 years ago because I took a tub that had been sitting in the middle of the kitchen unused for at least a year and a half. Literally empty. Because I took it to organize stuff in my room and "he was going to use it".

I haven't touched enough noticeable stuff for them to get mad, but I feel like once we start clearing shit their are going to be some moments. My sister only brings her kids in long enough to pee, and then they stayed in town. It's pretty bad.

I actually set aside a bunch of stuff for the salvation army years ago that was still there, so that's going to get taken down as well. Just happy a lot of my stuff is gone. Gave away some drums to friends. I'll fell better even when I'm not here than my shit is in pretty good shape. Even though there's still a lot more to tackle.

Allergies are tweaking from the dust though lol.

The chapstick thing is ridiculous because you can tell if it's been used. And even the ones sealed in a package, are individually sealed for my protection? I didn't know I had to be scared of chapstick.

My manager makes me feel like a worthless piece of shit, which is probably true but whatever.

On Halloween they had FAR too many people on the schedule. There were 3 people on my station when only one is ever needed. Got sent home because I was trying to figure out shit to do but it was slow and apparently cleaning was inappropriate - cool.

A few days later a different manager uses a cleaner that is only intended to be used as a spot cleaner but they used it ON THE ENTIRE FLOOR. Which sent me into some respiratory struggles and I needed to leave.

I go into work on Saturday and it is fairly busy. Not so busy that you can't keep up, but just enough to stay busy and moving the entire night. It was a good busy in my opinion. So at one point there are like 12 subs total that needed to be made. I'm moving along and feeling good about it. 12 subs is kind of a lot but we tell people to pick up 20 minutes. So it's manageable but you don't have much time to mess around. I flip some steak that's on the grill and the phone rings. Now, I'm not the fucking phone person but this same manager who sent me home for cleaning when apparently there were better things to do - yells at me and is like "When you're not doing anything can you at least get the phone, it's ringing off the hook." I look up from the grill, drop the steak and am like sure.

So I go grab the phone like she basically demanded and end up on the phone for 3 minutes - about as long as usual. Come back and the steak is fucked. Everything on the grill is fucked. BUT NO I WASN'T DOING ANYTHING AND COULD ANSWER THE PHONE.

Whatever, figure it all out and finish up the line of subs and make an effort to answer the phone more often because I'm this girls fucking stress toy or some shit.

Later, I'm wrapping up some bottles of mayo and oil for back ups and I guess they were cleaning something in the sink. I didn't really notice because people are always washing dishes with detergent and whatever. Anyways, she's like "Well if you're REALLY sensitive to chemicals you should probably speed it up because these are strong chemicals."

Like okay - just hold my fucking health issues against me like it impedes me from doing anything.

I've worked here for like 2 months and every time I work with this girl I feel like blowing out my brain when I get home. Fuck this shit. I feel like a fucking piece of shit everyday as it is and I could really not use anymore belittling plz and thanks.

sounds like she has no idea how to run a restaurant. Ive worked with some of the best managers in the nation (as far as chains go) and some of the worst. She sounds like the latter.

I don't even have 6 days in my full tilt descendant 8's and I already broke a buckle. I hope there is another boot that fits my foot as well as this one but doesn't break the first season.

Saved a lost dog yesterday after seeing it almost get hit by a car and was told by the old lady that I returned it to that someone would be watching over me. Next eventful thing that happens to me is I lose my phone in an uber and was told by the driver that spoke about no english that it wasn't in his car even though I tracked that it clearly was in the minutes before it died and now I'm left screwed and think he stole it. People are scumbags

This dank mexican restaurant where I lived closed down because everyone got deported. I get that immigration laws are important, but i hate the racist side of it. Immigrants are cool as long as they are white and English speaking.

Also question for anybody who knows boots, i have FT high fives and they fit my feet well and are really comfortable, and this only happens when i do nose butters, will getting a stiffer tongue help me keep my heels down when i go to really put some flex in my skis? I think the high fives have a 7 flex...would buying a 10 flex tongue help with that? I feel like my boots are just too soft and broken in now.

That or putting a heel wrap on your liners. Heel movement doesn't really change even if the boot is stiffer. You need to modify your liners.

My coworker can get pissed off so easily, I think he’s right when he says he’s an alcoholic and kind of an addict cause he can snap. He just quit smoking cigs for vaping nicotine instead so idk if it’s that. Funny ass kid and we shoot the shit usually but one wrong move and he goes off to himself about how he needs to leave this place and how the people suck.
