Ha, I think its safe to say moving in general is always a shit show. I move so often that you'd think I'd have it down to a science now. I'm trying to make the big move from NH to Bend, OR. Been planning it for a while now and things are just now starting to formulate.. slowly.

love my new job, no major issues at all. however it seemed like the millionaires/billionaires i was errand boy for across the way on the other side of the range weren't as high maitenance as some of these folks i deal with at work. People that think they are rich and are just gigantic cheap assholes are the worst and come off as waaay more entitled/arrogant as most people i dealt with in Park Shitty.

Fuck work changing schedules all the time, was suppose to have the day off but now I'm closing tonight and working tomorrow morning. Then again I just had a week off, now I have 3 days off this week and I better find myself a full time job, fuck this stupid retail store.

My friend is home for a very short amount of time and he's being super vague with me and our only other main homie still around. If he's chilling with other kids or his family it's fine but he just reads our messages and ignores us, not hard to say "sorry I can't right now."

Oh word my shots from PC I've been waiting months on are overlooped with not me skiing. Not that they were all hammers but I filmed once back home and the trip was a gift.

Oh well I guess I'll just move there for part of the winter and just be able to call it home.

I remember working at deer valley last winter, there was this one lady that didn't ski while her husband + kids would spend their whole time out on the mountain (a few awesome pow days sprinkled in there too). This lady would call probably 5-10 times a day just to whine about shit.

Blows my mind.

I'd actually argue the contrary. The guy was probably out skiing with his children bcuz his wife's pussy is all busted up. The reason I say this is bcuz is she had reaaaaaaally good pussy, he'd be wearing it like an oxygen mask while on vacation, and his kids would be out skiing alone.

His wife is all pisses off bcuz her husband ain't fucking her right, and probably for good reason

Bunch of self entitled ass hats on my city counsel that think they should be telling everyone else what to do. Guess I'm gonna have to spend some time writing letters. At their next meeting they are considering a new ordnance to ban public nudity, an ordinance to ban smoking on the sidewalk, an ordinance to ban plastic bags at stores, and special ordinances for public urination. This is a small rural farm town and we don't need any new rules. Yuppies need to check their privilege. God made us nude and in this town kid play outside and little boys and girls don't need come inside just to pee. Sure the rich counsel members can drive to the store and use paper bags but the people that walk from the cannery to the grocery store in the rain really need a plastic bag to get their dinner back to the break room in one piece. Smoking is banned inside already, have some compassion. These same people that blame big tobacco for peoples addictions now want poor waitresses to have to smoke in their car or find private property to just to have a smoke break. Repressing people is not the way to get along and it's not the way to improve our community. Grrrrrrr

I have had at least four different encounters with 20-something year old females flipping shit when I passed them. I always say "on your left" loud and clear and they start mumbling bullshit behind me once I go by.

I mean, I'm sorry that I have a much faster pace than you and that threatens your fragile ego... But calm the fuck down. Millennials are so uptight and bitchy. I just can't take it.

I don't get it. Some people have no fucking work ethic. I also don't understand why somebody would apply for a job that requires a little bit of work, if they don't want to work. Hearing somebody bitch about working "too much" when they're on their phone not working 90% + of the time makes you want to club baby seals.

I understand some jobs like the crab fishing in Deadliest Catch. People think they have what it takes but it's gnarly as fuck and they can't hang. That shit happens but park crew? I get that first timers sometimes have an unrealistic expectation of drinking, smoking weed, and riding all day but still. The job is pretty straight forward imo. Some days are pretty chill, some days are straight work fests where you come down from your first run at lunch break. It varies day to day but the park is only as good as the effort you put in.

When you ride a park, you can tell if the crew gives a fuck or not.

When people name drop legit mountains on an application, refuse to do any work, and complain about being overworked... Jesus that grind my gears.

Then if while not doing any work, and skiing like garbage you steal from a fucking event sponsor who already gave you free shit you probably didn't deserve. What the fuck is that. What the fuck is that.

As a person who contacts companies to try and get seasonal park as well as event sponsors that shit fills me with rage. I have a very low tolerance for thieves in general, but stealing from an event sponsor? Are you fucking kidding me?


On top of that, the stolen item was a speaker, that the person had already won. "Oh hey, I did a shit run that was bettered by another skier that didn't place and won a speaker and other stuff. I'm mad I didn't win so I'm going to steal shit because I feel I should have won!"

I understand the competitive nature. I understand feeling your run was good(even if it was trash). But I don't understand stealing from somebody who is sponsoring your event and basically making the comp happen.

To all of you with 0 work ethic and an insane klepto/entitled attitude... I hope you hit the find some job that you really love, or hit the lotto so I never have to work with you.

Stealing is lame as fuck, and stealing from ski comps is ultra weak.

You'll get yours...

That last one was pretty ranty, but stealing fucking grinds my gears. Also I have been working my ass off in parks the last 14/15 seasons and apathy doesn't cut it.

When I see a place that has an unrealized potential, that bothers me. If certain lazy people are the cause of that failure it really bothers me.

Every place has certain limitations. Weather, budget, snowmaking capacity, grooming, day staff, materials, etc. That said, there is a certain potential every mountain has. The ones that reach it, even the tiny ones, shine. And the one's that fail to, fall into the dust behind them.

Cheers to everyone on the parks and grooming staff that works their asses off and gets things done.

Please, for the love of god, if you don't want to do work, don't apply for a park position. It's an amazing job, I wouldn't trade it for the world, but shockingly it does involve some manual labor.

some of these other people that are "in charge" of other departments are seriously so batshit insanely retarded, it is shocking how they make more money than us. Unreal the stupidity sometimes.

massive-scale conferences all weekend long at our hotel, hundreds of thousands of dollars being spent/made to put the conference on. What do the hotel conference coordinators do? accidentally lock all the conference room keys in their offices and high-tail it at 4:30.

Poor conference setup folks were getting earfuls from the most cunty stuck-up event coordinators ive ever seen. I have yet to meet an event coordinator/planner in my life that wasn't a total fucking boob.

Ya deleting that maintaining lowest brightness, and low battery mode will help. Also putting it in airplane mode or turning it off during times you won't use it may help.

Maybe not unpopular on here, but living in the south actually sucks. Everyone up North talks about how great the weather is down south. No it sucks. It's hot and humid and the same thing every single day from March to November. And no one goes outside in the summer cause it's so damn hot so everyone just does the same thing as if it was winter anyway i.e. Stay inside all the time. Mountains are a plus, but shit I just need to get out of the South.

I listed a Macbook Pro that had problems AS IS no guarentees. Buyer wants it for $150 instead of $200 claiming they are a "poor college student", told them to read the description and that it probably isnt a good computer for them but I give it to them for $150. 2 weeks go by and they want to return it, and file a complaint against me that the item doesnt work and is not as described. They refuse to listen to my advice, we go back and forth for a week with over 60 messages. End up talking to ebay on the phone for a week before they can resolve it for me. God what a shit show.

Yeah, I feel like if I had been the buyer in this case I could've screwed the seller over pretty easily. As a seller it would be great for it to be more seller friendly and not take half of a month and hours of my time to settle something that should only take 15 minutes at the most. The second to last time I called I was told that they would close the case in my favor, and I would receive my money in 24-48 hours. 50 hours goes by and guess who still doesn't have shit? ME. Had to call them twice today to finally get my money . FFS

Not at all, I've had the same camera returned twice for nonsense reasons even though I had their "problems" clearly listed in the description. Ebay won't even hear me out and still charges selling fees on returns which is total bullshit.

Dude just keep fucking calling ebay customer support. Most of them will say different things every time. FOr example On a bullshit return, I was told I had to wait 30 days, so i called back and got it escalated, now i have my cash
