Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Also, SHE'S NEVER FARMED. she's growing tomatoes in a hydroponic system, something my dad has been doing for 30 years, and basically said I know nothing??? Sorry???

Why? Is the groom really lame or something? You should go all out and get him up on stage with some professionals that will help you out. Pay the ladies extra and they will probably take a couple of Polaroids that you can pass around to a couple of the trusted groomsmen for safekeeping/future shenanigans.

Doesn't seem like it's chill to ghost somebody after seeing them for 4+ months but I guess that's what people are doing these days.
Sucks cus all I wanted was somebody to ski and go on adventures with. Shame that people will assume you just want to tie them down instead of getting to know them. Such is life, all I have now is working out, waiting on Woodward to open and crushing the game next season.

shout out to me trying to do the nice thing and go get everyone a permit for backpacking to save them the time for driving half an hour. Its they knew full well that they would be paying me back. And then because I have the best luck in the work everyone ditched on me because of the fires in BC everyone but myself made the decision to cancel the trip. Since they canceled on me not one of them has asked me when they can give me my money back so now I'm out 100$. I know its not that much but still, pay someone back as soon as you can and don't keep making up bullshit excuses. thats gonna be the last time I ever go out of my way to do something nice for people.

I hear ya. Youll be fine though. As cheesy as it sounds, all your best friends were once strangers (unless you were playing together when you were like 2). Just talk to people and have fun. Plenty of other people doing the same thing.

A big change can be scary but can be a pretty needed thing. Every place has it's +s and -s but getting away from the same old bullshit where you are can be incredibly freeing.

Also it helps when you realize you're doing fine there. You notice that you could probably be alright anywhere. Helps to feel less trapped when you know that if shit gets real you could find a new place, new friends, and be alright.

Done burnt my eyes. Not stoked as my eyes were already sensitive. Hoping they heal fast.

Cant fucking work. Bored as fuck. Cant really watch movies or use my phone. Just laying here with my eyes closed. At least my eyes don't feel like in pouring sand into them anymore but still. Went out last night for dinner and pretty hazy, sensitive to light.

Went to work this morning and it went like shit. Bright African sun plus fresh snow. I raked 2 jumps out and could barely see. Tripped over a bamboo pole and later a fence.

Fuck. Eyes are pretty useful so hoping in all good for the future .

Not so good. Went out mid day and tried to work. Eyes hurt, cant see well. I think it was better than on friday but def too fucked to work.

Going to do some night shaping the next few nights.

Building our big contest setup and im super fussy, but cant even be out in the fucking day to make sure everything comes out crisp.

Also cant sleep now because i havent been doing shit. Sitting in a dark room gets old as fuck. Also nothing else to do here but work really and i cant work.

If only it wasnt sunny and bluebird everyday lol.

On the plus me and my roomate watched blade a couple days ago and have been cracking jokes about me turning into a vampire. Im going to wake upnto him dumping garlic on me or stabbing me with a silver stake.

When I lived in the Midwest, it was totally acceptable to spend a day just bumming around and resting or whatever. Ever since I have moved out west, my roommate and coworkers give me so much flak if I sit on my ass for more than three hours.

Honestly can't take it anymore. Listen up you high-strung, crunchy granolas... I spent the last three days hiking over 60 miles, skiing near middle teton, camping every night, and I have to do MORE things!? I don't understand. Why can't these people sit still, man?

I think that's just a personality thing, my mother is like that and can't stand to see anybody not constantly doing shit. It boils my blood. I'm a grown ass man, I don't like to be micromanaged.

I feel like I'm stuck in this awful limbo where every day I'm just killing time until I can move west for the winter and escape this hellhole of a job. I'm trapped in an office with a minimal daily workload Monday-Friday, which gives me wayy too much time to contemplate things I'd rather be doing, but I'm being paid too well to leave. Being a weekend warrior is bullshit, so I envy all of you who take on and enjoy that lifestyle.

So its been a rough week. I mentioned before i cant go outside in the day and my "house" is a room i share with 3 other people. Im not supposed to watch any movies or use my phone but i watch 1 or 2 movies a day and check my phone once in a while to avoid going insane.

That said im in the middle of a night build and its sweet.

Its dark, the snow is about the worst you can work with, im all alone, fucking sick, but its pretty nice.

Our big comp is coming up on sat. I likely wont be able to ride but im happy to be out here doing what i do best, taking bullshit and channeling it into some good through shaping.

Making a bunch of takeoffs and getting snow moved around and things squared up.

Its tough for me to sit back like i have been as im very fussy and like parks to be fucking perfect. Glad to see the guys have been doing good work without me.



On a side note somebody bent my boot all fucked up so im working in shoes and will need to address that another day. Not stoked about that one.


Applied for some back up jobs for the northern hem season. Hoping things pan out with my work visa for europe but if not hope i get a good job elsewhere.

Life is not flowy right now hopefully just a rough patch. I've not been getting as much done at work as I hoped the past few days and everything else seems kinda fucked. Dogs must have gotten into something and one of them tracked diarrhea all over my couch early Monday morning. Little did I know that would be about the best part of the day. Got to work and learned a former coworker and good friend had a turn for the worse with her cancer and was dying. Guess it started growing exponentially in her lungs and there was nothing they could do. Made it to the hospital to visit her right before they gave her another dose of narcotics. I was there when the nurse explained that she would not open her eyes again after that dose. So sad to see someone you love like that but I'm so glad she is no longer suffering. Now we are in a heat wave ( it didn't even get down to 70 last night) so I went to the movies to stay cool and this group of 4 sits down in the front row and starts talking during the show. Trying to talk over the show and it was going on and on so finally I had to politely ask them to please take the conversation outside. Two of them left and the others shut up for a few and then next thing I know the dude is up in my row saying he's sorry he offended me but he's saying it loud and rude and coming at me. I knew I could take him and be in the right but that would have made it the most expensive show ever. Dude gets in my face and tells me I should move and I walk out and tell him I'm getting an usher. Usher was pretty cool and watched the dude watch the rest of the movie but the situation was not cool.
It's gonna be even hotter tonight. F Me.

eh it's something a lot of people grow up with...my entire fam is the same way. From the time I get up in the morning until bed I'm just always busy no matter what just the way I was raised. Never took a nap until I went to college lol. Not a bad thing imo its made me become a harder worker than 99.9% of the people I know

Are people really that fuckin stupid that we need to remind them to dial 911 if they're dying? Holy christ.

I've gotten my shifts cut, almost directly after my last post in here about not wanting to work in other peoples literal shit which was a bit eerie. I've sat on my ass for close to two weeks now drinking beer and listening to music, just found out I have minimal shifts for another 2 weeks. Normally I'm down for sitting on my ass for a couple weeks but I really would like to eat, let alone ski this year. not having full time work for 2 months straight is kinda fucking with me.

ive been chatting with the online help people for an hour, sometimes i have to turn it off and on to get the charger to work but if i turn it off it just starts showing the apple logo and going black every second. i cant afford to have the repair done since i fly out saturday, and my old droid is just as big of a piece of shit. my lock button is broken to which fucks it all up

my friends pug has been staying at our house while his parents help him move back to school and holy shit its awful, doesnt listen (expected), never doesnt wanna go on a walk, poops maybe once a day when i walk her about 5 times, and they are just naturally stupid loud all the time from breathing. shes like 11 and stupid annoying while my golden retriever is 13 and is super calm. i never hated it til i had to look after it somewhat, first day was fun but now it blows.

Eyes are in pretty good shape finally. Stoked because you need eyes that work.

Still pretty sensitive to light, dry feeling, etc but wayyy better.

Unfortunately I smashed myself walking a drunk friend home. Rib is feeling pretty tender. Dont think I broke it but might get it xrayed anyway to see.

Pretty bad chain of events.

I was stuck in my room for a week with my eyes, window covered with a blanket, lights off, minimal phone/movie watching.

Next went to go work at night and realized somebody melted my boot. Just got them late February too. So thats another $300 or so Ill be shelling out for new boots stateside.

Cut the back of the boot open and duct taped it to my foot and rode the comp. Felt pretty sketch with one boot tight and one loose as shit but got some tricks still. Was weird having not ridden for so long.

Was super keen to get a shot on the rainbow yesterday or today but now my rib is fucked.

So the only day I've ridden in 2 weeks was the contest on saturday. If this shit doesnt feel better soon it might be a while longer before i can get out again.

Also plenty work drama to add in and make things a real blast.

Sometimes you feel like you fucked up and should have gone somewhere else. This is one of those seasons. Next time I'll be smart and go to Thredbo instead and get my Aussie shred on.

I guess at least ive been on snow for the summer which is cooler but seems like its been more of a hassle than its worth.

I like to snowboard and build shit because it keeps me sane, but somehow i havent been riding much and the work side of things has been a giant pile of shit. Now adding in the rib makes working a jolly good time.

Why do people complain and point out the "excessive" wait times countries with universal health care like Canada when in some cases here in the US,. you have to wait a few weeks for appointments you're exhuberantly paying for?

I just need a refill on meds and its at least a week or twos time before we can get in. The fuck.

Call your pharmacy- they can issue emergency supplies of meds to hold you good until your appointment.

my old job gave me like 3 weeks off back in july and i hated it, did some climbing and hiking but that was it, was soo ready to get back to the grind and make some money for ski season. give me time off in the winter, but also keep me busy you know?

It's not even wanting to be busy with work/school, I enjoy being busy with my hobbies just as much as the next person

this vaca has just been a lot of sitting around on the beach and driving in the car with the fam, which ends up being a lot of quiet time just sitting around thinking for me. And when I have that my mind just goes crazy, remembering things I've fucked up with, problems my gf/fam have gone through, taking problems I have and imagining worse case scenarios, etc etc

leaving tomorrow, a week of work, and back to school. Sall good. Considering seeing a psychologist though bc I feel like how I am ain't normal
