Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

I specifically asked for the center of my steak to be the color of the blood moon. This is the color of Mars. God it makes me so mad I wanna go back in the kitchen and dump this on the floor!!! I don't care if my server as 8 other, just as needy guests, if she wants my shitty 15% tip she better cook my steak right!!!Because servers definitely cook the meal...

Never had that happen in any restaurant in the US. Although that is a good idea since most places have those little squares that allow payment on a tablet or phone making it much more portable. That's why I prefer to leave cash so I can just leave it and go.

Pushing back a little at work. I have been helping out another Dept. that has no authority over me. We've been talking about revamping this thing for years with no changes. Now they want me to take on some of the sessions for them and I said nope. I mentioned the need for a revamp in my response though. Nothing they can do even if I pull out all together but I also can't make them do anything to improve. Gotta love flexing in a bureaucracy.

Nah I mean like the little card scanners that people have, more often at small businesses and food trucks etc. Like where the POS system is on the tablet or phone then they bring it over to you and it shows your bill then they slide your card on their device.

My ex is the most immature person I think I've ever encountered. Always trying to pick fights with everyone. Everyday there's a political fight on Facebook. He used to always try to argue with his dad fully knowing it would end badly. Now he's trying to pick a fight with me/my best friend. God damn. Why do people enjoy fighting so much? The dude claims to be a carefree hippy but gets all bent out of shape if you don't fucking agree with him. Hes now sent me 16 rant texts about an argument from Friday. He has also texted my best friend several times a day since then. Shit is so stupid. I'm so happy I broke up with him.

hilarious to me how people say the service industry is useless when a good number of people in this country are completely incompetent boobs and would be so lost without these types of things because no one knows how to provide for themselves anymore. there is a reason the restaurant biz is huge and its because people are retards and don't know how to cook.


this fucking guest was getting all pissy with us tonight because the cell service is bad where we are located (its a ski in/out condo high rise in the mountains so cell service being bad is almost expected) and was making it almost our job to make sure her son gets to do a phone interview tomorrow. Is this where we are at in America now? Grow a pair you fucking pussy and go into town and make phone calls then, holy shit I hate this country so much. These kids that cant get through life without these fucking lawnmower parents there to pave the way are absolutely doomed.

blows my mind how useless some of these people are, too. Ive sent maintenance up to numerous residences to help people "fix" their showers when they cant figure out youre supposed to pull and turn the shower knobs. HO lee fuck, its amazing. to be fair one shower was busted but a few others were just complete user error. They must hire servants to do this at their super mega huge compounds these fuckin millionaires call their homes. I cant believe it sometimes.

I FEEL THIS SO MUCH. Dude we have people sign up for our ski pass who have phds and multiple degrees in applied sciences and other hard things AND THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW A SKI PASS WORKS. It is so frustrating. Like how do you figure out black holes and shit but you, who has skied for years, STILL DONT KNOW HOW PASSES WORK.

Same this summer. These people have so much money, yet can't figure out the simplest things/ignore the directions given. We had a parent book a (private) flight the day before their session started and then wanted US to pay to have the flight moved. Umm no? hahah that isn't how it works. Like where did you get all this money to have your own private plane but you can't read an email. Fuck. I don't get it haha.

Some peoples showers are straight fucked though. Also I'm not sure how we haven't pulled off some standardization action. When you just want to take a quick shower all hungover in the morning and it's like lolnope.

Also in NYC this spring had a shower start beeping at me. Thankfully my friends rescued me. I may not have been sober. Who the fuck has a shower that can yell at people?

So frustrating just trying to buy a couple Sudafed pills. Gotta get it called in from Kaiser because you can't even get over the counter cold meds here in Oregon without having it called in by a doctor. Already 3 phone calls this morning. Hopefully I'll be able to get it by lunch.

not upset that I have to pay my student loans, just pissed at how quick they are to threaten you over payments and effecting your credit which impacts your ability to get student loans, car loans, find a place to live, etc. What a brilliant and evil racket education is. Im not even going to bother with graduation ceremonies when I get my degree. Gonna tell these fuckers to eat a dick and ride right on off into the sunset.

Yeah, Oregon thought that would somehow solve the Meth problem since it's possible to use Sudafed as an ingredient. We still have tweakers so the rule just makes it super inconvenient if you get congested. Most people I know just pick some up when they are out of state to avoid the hassle. I have some at home and took half a pill this morning but forgot to bring any with me. Now I have to hope my doctor calls the pharmacy or I can't buy a cold pill on my lunch break.

They are quite possibly the most annoying excuses for human beings. Like there's so much more to an athlete than they're face. All they care about is how attractive an athlete is and it's so annoying. They act like they ski or board or whatever the sport and they act like they know shit about the sport and it's annoying. You can't have an intelligent conversation about anything with them. It always ends up in them fan girling about gus and the Sochi pups or Shawn White. I mean a lot of athletes really are attractive but come on, true skill is way better. 100% guarantee if one wants someone to appreciate them, one has to appreciate that person for what they stand for, not just looks. I buy into the skier life cus that's what I've always lived and loved and if I find a man who appreciates my skill as I do his, that's a nice bond! Nobody likes that girl who just sits there commenting on the hotness of guys until everyone has achieved a high level of second hand embarrassment.

Good luck man. I'd probably try to stash it someplace safe before burning it. Or at least sell it to a scrap yard if you can't find a place to park it. Hopefully it will get running for you in time though. The west is were it's at right now so don't let your car get in your way.


After about 5 phone calls I finally got the approval to buy my sudafed. What an inefficient system. Prolly couldn't make any meth with the tiny bottle they sold me anyways but what do I know. On the upside the kaiser pharmacy sold the superfeet insoles that I wanted for less than anyplace I've seen before so now I have insoles for my new boots.

I was biking behind this thugged out feller the other day who was walking bow-legged and draggin his feet. He walked like he was holding in a shit while trying to keep his pants up. He caught up with me at the cross-walk, and was impressed that I biked up the hill. He said he could barely make it up the hill. I thought to myself, "if you wore normal pants, walking would be easier." but really we just fist-bumped and went our separate ways.

I feel like I've been waiting to ski for so long after my knee surgery and I had a little taste of skiing again, that unbelievable freedom and happiness, and now I'm right back where I started with a mothafuckin concussion that's fucking killing me.

Cross yo fingers for me, I'm seeing a neurologist today. Hoping she has some okay news for me.

Ah Chris is cool! I've been working with Jack Powell for some residual back issues from compression fractures and most recently, my knee.
I love the CRJ Healing Center, it has such an awesome vibe, makes you work harder with the stories and reason behind it. Couldn't find a better place to heal.

So usually I'm "ranting" about dumb stuff because I'm bored. But November and December have been awful months for me.


I got a job with a company I've dreamed of working for. Contract and everything. The company is the best park building company in the world in my opinion. Job was in Germany originally but move to Austria.

The gov dragged and dragged on the visa and we had to make other plans. Considering it's the company that builds nine knights, air and style, the olympic test course last year, etc, I was more than a little bit bummed.

So it's december and I manage to snag a job with a good mountain in the states. They just one 3rd place in the transworld national park polls as well. Good park program and all that. Anyway, my piece of shit car(that's been fine for 50k miles in the last year) decided to fuck up. Rushing and throwing money at it and keeps fucking up. I offer to fly out there next day if it ever comes to that and rent a car or uhaul van. Found a hostel and everything. Talked to them yesterday and the plan was to talk today.

Apparently I no longer have a job.



So I lost two great work opportunities. One because of the austrian consulate, and the other because of my subaru.

Stoked on life right now. I know a lot about building parks. I fucking love to build parks. I would and have done it for free. It's my life. Now I'm realizing that it's probably too late to grab a job anywhere decent.

Fuck this shit honestly. In both cases I put absurd amount of effort into making it work.

The only silver lining is that the company in europe still wants me for net season, and I can apply for the visa super early. If I had worked for VR again I would have been committing to a multi year gig.

I understand it all but Jesus fucking christ. How much bad luck can a guy have in a short amount of time? November and december are fucking killing me. I'm a hard worker, I love/I'm good at my fucking job, but the universe is like "Lol nope".

Literally don't even know what to do right now. I've gotten fucked over by too many smaller places that took advantage of how nice I was.

Really don't want anything that isn't a legit job. Also have the experience to back that up. 12 seasons done in my job. 15 at ski areas. All with pretty amazing references except for maybe one that we didn't see eye to eye on things. I fucking hate job politics though.

All I want to do, all I've ever wanted to do is make some good parks for the kids. I never had a terrain park growing up. I guess that's been a big part of my obsession with this career. Every hill has some limitations, but at the end of the day, A lot of places aren't doing the best they can, and to me that's not acceptable. I was hoping to ditch out on the smaller places and go back to the big stuff but after the Euro and Ca jobs falling through, I'm kind of lost.

I wish there was some small hill where I could just build and build and make things sick for the peoples. I don't care what I get paid, I don't care what our limitations are. All I want is a place that cares enough to try, and let me do my job. My 2 jobs for this year were bigger gigs with smaller roles and don't play into this. But some of the places I've worked and places people have told me about. Fuck.

I grew up in a town with no skatepark, the only places that were skateable the cops would be called. I built a mini ramp in my driveway and garage so I could skate. The local hill had no terrain park and it wasn't until I was 16/17 that I rode a park regularly.

The local kids at a lot of these places have no other spot to go. They go to the place that's close, the place their parents can afford a pass and drop them off. It's just a bummer that so many of these smaller places put so little efforts into their parks.

I really fucking hope one day that I find a good gig somewhere at a company big or small, where I'm not butting heads, and I can make some sort of impact. I've had some success in the past as well as some giant waste of times. I've had several very talented friends leave this industry after getting too frustrated with things. I'm always scared that this may be my last season. I never want to lose that passion that I have for this. When I work 23 hours straight to finish a setup and see kids having fun hitting those features after. The money is irrelevant. That's all that I need. But sometimes this industry like any other can be a fickle bitch.

Maybe, fucking maybe I can land somewhere good, that I mesh with, that I can do good work with, and just have things work out. For once. That's all I fucking want. Idk why that's too much to ask, but the universe doesn't seem to be on the same page as me right now.

It's good to see everyone getting snow this year. Have a good season folks. Sorry for the bitching. Just sad right now honestly.

This show won't fix everything, but it'll be nice to do something just for me.

I mean everything else is fucked, might as well.
