Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Yay. Hopefully you are on to something and it is not just a fluke your hairdresser hit a home-run.

I tried to fix my hair with the scissors at my desk yesterday and when I got home my wife said " nice hair cut, but it's a little crooked in the front and on top" . Ended up cutting it a lot more after she went to bed. Thank you PBR. This morning I finally trimmed it into a haircut I actually like.

^ The guys I work with are now ranting about how they can cut a high and tight "in the field" better than any hair dresser in town and how they are going to cut my hair in a couple weeks whether I like it or not.

I recently got my first haircut since moving to Montana in 2013 and I was really worried because she cut a 10" pony off and then cut and styled it from there but she did a great job. I would recommend this place called "Champu Emporium" right by Cat Eye Cafe. $30 including tip plus they have a big friendly St Bernard that lounges around the salon too.

I feel this, I don't want to pull into the parking lot at the asscrack of dawn ready for a great day of shredding or something only to hear some dudebros blasting their awful trippy electronic whatever the fuck it is dubstep shit.


I am guilty of putting some Sabbath on blast while taking my boots off at the whip, but I usually try to keep it at decent levels so that I can have some tunes to rock out to after skiing.

99% of the time I love my job. But fuck having it situated in the richest neighbourhood in the northern beaches fucking sucks sometimes. Don't ask for my opinion on which board you should buy your son then get all pissed off when I don't recommend the board your son wanted. This is my fucking job, I'm trying to get your son on the best board for his skill level and then you're going to tell me I don't know what I'm taking about? I swear I'm just gonna let people buy whatever boards they want from now on and let them realise how fucking dumb they are.

If I see another edit with a shot of some stupid kid dabbing I'm gonna lose my shit. I'm not talking about smoking either, I'm talking about the dance move or whatever it even is. It was played on the internet before kids started doing it and now it's just painful to watch these kids emulate something they were never a part of to begin with. I guess that's just ski culture sometimes but god damn is it tacky

Max Hill was the first skier I saw do it and ever since then I've seen people do it while landing to be funny and it just looks fucking stupid and unoriginal

So my brother already follows me around the house enough but now he has Pokemon Go and no matter where I am he will follow me and be annoying trying to catch Pokemon. I'll just be in the driveway skateboarding or in the garage smoking and he'll come out like usual and annoy me but he'll stay longer than usual so he can try and catch new Pokemon when we live in the woods and there's no 3G/4g. Just came home hoping to smoke and he just runs outside to me while playing it.
I tell him to stop following me but he just acts all sarcastic back at me. Getting sick of it whether he's playing the game or following me like usual, about to snap next time nobody is home to hear it.

Oh yeah he's over 21

It's fuckin annoying lol. i mean we both get along but I've just come to realize how much I can't stand his opinions when it comes to certain things. He thinks the way he would or does shit is the only and right way. I'll snap soon, most likely when he walks into the garage when I'm trying to smoke and annoy me and I'll go off since sometimes I'm stressed when I get home and being around him sober can be hard.

He's in the basement now just bothering me with teasing phrases like "Collin I hate you, ya know that?"

Soon I'll either be out west or he'll finally pass his certification test and have a job

my fucking gripe with edits is that everyone has to make theirs like a promotional thing on behalf of their lowly sponsors, its hard to find edits that really capture the genuine awesomeness and fun of just romping around with your friends and skiing. Its always "just a few laps around breck! Shout out to rossignol, monster, smith, skullcandy",

like cant you fuckin people just ski for the sake of skiing? jesus.

Its interesting to read this thread lately because it seems like you and i are going through similar shit. Big Sky is weighing on me hard these days, seriously considering moving back to Bozeman. Break ups suck dick and while I understand that its for the best that my boyfriend and I decided to call it quits, its still really bumming me out. Haven't been much into the rebound game yet cause there aren't really any dudes up here right now that appeal to me, just a whole lot of obnoxious alcoholics. I'm working 80 hour weeks and during my rather sparse time off I just want to wallow at home with the cats and not be social at all.

I'm hourly and working two jobs because my pay at the resort is such bullshit and living in big sky is expensive. I hate it.

I'm down as fuck for cabin life, i crush the garden game so we would grow some mean bud for sure.

Honestly, i think i'm jumping ship from big sky this fall anyway. The past 6 months at work have been fucked, so many super great people have quit and there's a new boss and tons of drama. A few more people are quitting soon too and i think i might do the same. I need a change

I think I'm going to have to move out and hope my boyfriend follows. I cannot stand living where we do anymore, and I'm at my breaking point. I'll give it until May, and if we haven't found a place by then (or a rent actively looking) I'm renting the first place I find. I'm over it.

Can I have that sticker? that's all Deer Valley locals for you. PC locals can be dicks too and just locals in general can be assholes, but man I hate when people throw that local term around to seem like they fit it and are in with the cool crowds when they spend 2 weeks out of the year and their condos are all tax write-offs. Everyone wants to be a local but doesn't actually want to because it takes a fuckload of work and money to be able to call these places home and to be able to ski and hike and bike and enjoy life here. People back east will never understand that. Its no different than them working all week long to be able to play a round of weekend golf, spend time out with the family, go to the lake, or something.

So I have a job offer to make 40k a year in NH (no income tax). That causes me to fall into the 25% tax bracket meaning I walk away with 30k (not including medicare or SS). Some one who makes 37k a year falls into the 15% tax bracket. So they walk away with roughly 31k a year. How does that make any sense? I make 3k more gross so I end up making 1k less net? Fuck that shit...

Idk why they don't just have an income gradient by $1k rather than a .1 bracket (up to a point like $100k) because for people with lower incomes bullshit like that can make a legitimate difference.

I actually did the math wrong. I thought it was 25% across my entire income, but its actually 10% on $9,275 I make, 15% on $28,374 I make, and 25% on $2,349 I make. So in reality I walk away with roughly 34k instead of 30k...
