MinggI mean, I guess. Even if you can't be with them, you can call them or something which would mean more. Like if people said to their parents what they say on facebook but in person/over the phone it absolutely would mean more to hear it from you. Unless you're one of those people who feel the need to tell all your friends how amazing and perfect your children are and would want everyone to see that... then I guess facebook is the way to go! haha. To each his own.

I personally would never wish a best friend or family member any kind of blessing on an occasion over social media alone. I'd rather do something special for them and I'm sorry but a facebook post is not very special in my eyes when it comes to close relationships. But the generalized shoutout is fine to show appreciation to a number of people that you otherwise couldn't. But that's just how I see it.

Yeah you're right. I mean I can only speak for myself and I don't see that as super thoughtful. I'd rather plan out a really fun weekend or day for a homie than write a paragraph about how super awesome they are lol. It's a nice gesture for sure to wish someone a happy birthday on social media, but part of me feels like if you care about someone that much, you can do better. But hey, I guess if that's your thing then roll with it. I'm just a little old school when it comes to that haha.

I generally have somewhere to go so being stuck on the side of the road even just swapping insurance and waiting for a police report seems meh. Waiting for a tow truck, then having to get a ride home and spend $$$ to fix my car then wait several days to get it back. Also driving on a highway that is crowded and traffic is flying. If I hit you bad enough(or you suck at driving which you probably do) we're going to get smashed by at least a couple more cars. And I opened a can of mtn dew. I have no top because it's a can. If I hit you I will spill it and get it all over/not be able to drink it. Same goes for the food I'm eating.

But sure, that's all bullshit, and I'm going to avoid hitting you simply because you have some stupid fucking sticker on your car.

When you see a post, instead of clicking "see less from this person" which actually does nothing no matter how many times you click it, it would be nice to rate it a 2. If you like something rate it an 8 or a 9 etc.

I've got this wicked cold that has my throat all junked up and makes me not want to eat but my stomach is telling me otherwise and this sucks.

I took a personality test the other day and I've been looking into like common behaviors/characteristics on mine and it's SCARY accurate. I'm an INFJ which is the rarest personality type I guess and everything about me makes so much more sense haha.

There was an article thing and it was saying that my personality type has trouble putting deep thoughts into words and when we try it usually comes out disorganized and fumbled and usually what I want to say doesn't actually come out the way I want it to which leaves people misunderstanding what I say or accusing me of saying things I don't intend. I can't talk about subjects very well unless I've had time to organize my thoughts. Which makes perfect sense. I think and talk about skiing all the time so I've had time to piece it all together. But I have trouble talking about other things. Which is honestly probably why I spend so much time on the internet and social media interacting with people rather than in person. I have enough time and can organize what I want to say so much easier. This also might be why I'm a decently strong writer. It's the only way I can make sense of the thoughts in my head haha.

I've never seen that put into words like that and it was crazy when I read it. It just all clicked in my head and made so much sense. Hell, I've even been screened for like neurological disorders because I'm like dude I can't say what I'm trying to say.. I think something is wrong with me but I guess not lol.

Also hating small talk is one of my hugest issues. I hate parties because I can't do small talk with strangers. It just seems so pointless to me and I often get too deep into a subject and can't just switch out of it like other people can. I like learning about people and like talking about their interests and you can't do that when you're just saying whats up. I don't know. I thought I was just socially awkward but that really does make so much sense. I'm definitely still a little socially awkward but I don't think I'm as bad as I believed.

Also I'm definitely a perfectionist. Everything I do, I put 110% into and want to know everything and do it well. Every sport I've ever played, if I didn't excel at it right away to my standards I wanted nothing to do with it, but the rest I'd put so much time into so that I was as best as I could be. This is also why I enjoy math so much. It's logical and there is only one right answer and a set way to get to the answer. You're either right or wrong so there's not really much room for error in judging. There's also a million other things I do but I can't list them all so I'll just stop there.

And then there's a part about introversion vs extroversion. And while I'm introverted 95% of the time and like to be alone, when I get excited or sad or mad, I'm extroverted about that. I mean, if you're still reading this and have ever read something of mine, I get MAD stoked. Hell, I'm super fucking stoked writing this and you might be able to tell haha. When other people are stoked, I'm stoked and it goes the other way as well. I think that also runs me into trouble because when I get upset about something, I voice it lol. So maybe people don't see much of me(cause introvert) but then when they do I'm upset and then they assume I'm just this crabby piece of shit when in reality I'm just extroverted about those kinds of things and introverted about the rest. Which actually makes me pretty awesome in relationships because I'll tell you exactly whats wrong and won't leave room for you to question why I'm mad at you lol.

There's also a lot of people in real life who talk so much shit about me because of how excited and happy I get when I talk about shit I'm passionate about. I guess because I'm quiet most of the time and then talk a lot about stuff that gets me excited, it annoys them? I don't know why you'd get mad about that but at least I know why I do that lol. It just all makes sense now haha.

Not really one that cries much. Sometimes feel emotionally void about things to an extent. Idk. It's weird.

But my friend that just passed has been on my mind. It just fucking sucks sometimes. The way time flies in life. Sometimes you don't get an easy chance to meet up with people that you want to catch up with. But there's a limit on those chances in general. Time is number. We don't know what day will be out last.

We were trying to meet up and catch up for some skiing, but with the garbage winter and work and stuff it didn't happen. Figured we'd do some hiking this spring. Relive the glory days of mt jore, west etc. Catch up on everything and just soak in the natural beauty of the place we live.

We didn't end up skiing together this season. I think I briefly saw him at the face in the fall but just quickly in passing. But that "well we can hang out __________" as a thought of a time in the future never came. The season ended, I left for a month and the day I got back, you were gone.

You never know when it's the end, you can't know most of the time. Life is a twisted confusing pile of shit sometimes. Life is precious, life is beautiful, but sometimes it just leaves you there wondering why.

It just sucks. When somebody is on your mind and whether work or whatever, you never make it happen. You delay things for the future and then that future opportunity is just gone. It's fucked.

Such a good fucking person. Too young for that shit. It just doesn't make any fucking sense.

Life's crazy. It just keeps speeding up. The pace just keeps getting faster and while you're trying to keep up, days, months, and years are flying by. It's unrealistic to be able to keep up with everyone, everywhere. It's unrealistic to be able to predict the future and have any idea how long people will be around. But even being realistic, it still fucking sucks when someone you were stoked to hang out with and catch up about everything is gone, gone way too fucking soon, and that chance is nothing but an empty feeling.

It's just bullshit. I just can't believe your really gone. Miss you dude. Hoping you're somewhere better. RIP Shred it up man

My cheap ass roommate bought toilet paper thats thinner than the shitty 1 ply in public restrooms. What the fuck

oh man, all this development going on in park city/heber and these people wonder why the backside of the Wasatch (and the front for that matter) gets skunked when systems roll through. soo many people/homes that its created an artificial high-pressure bubble almost and storms just spilt up/go around and completely burn out as they hit the range.

honestly its getting to a point where there are too many people in these little mtn valleys, I get everyone wants to be closer to recreation/live in the mountains but its coming with a severely serious consequence and the snow levels will surely rise in the next few decades if we don't cut this shit out. its one of the main reasons im against terrain devlopments with the ski areas. Im not really that hyped on Snowbirds expansion in a few years because its not about having more terrain to ski at all, its about building condos in homes in places where they don't belong.

I think you misunderstood rising snow levels. Not like more snow, but the elevation at which precip becomes snow will rise. Thus leaving less or no snow in lower elevations. Potentiallt even forcing lower elevation resorts to shut down due to lack of snow. Not good for skiing.
