Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

It might be time to let go of rowing.
WoFlowzFuck ass stupid ass rib. Stress fractures and severely inflamed tissues! Looks like my spring season is fucked, just what I needed after my fall season got fucked from finding out i’m AFIB and VasoVagal. Might as well file for a medical redshirt this year since it’s been a complete waste of my time. Never rowed worst or been more unhealthy. Yet I’ve quit nicotine over the past 2 months along with stopped drinking a few weeks ago and stopped taking more adderall than needed and this is what I fuckin get. Slowest test pieces i’ve pulled in a year, fucked my rib, and I won’t be boated till mid april if I even recover and don’t lose even more fitness

While it "shouldn't" impact me, Trump's latest executive order on the PSLF program is concerning and potentially very broad. Pretty much every non-profit and government agency falls under the umbrella of items listed. Maybe not now but have previously when it wasn't so political. So huge uncertainty as to how this rule will be applied. Will they consider only current actions or historical ones? And how far back would they consider? I'd be making at least 2-3x in the private sector (biotech, consulting, etc) what I make now, but continue to work for a hospital directly because of this program. This administration is gambling with the nation's health system in ways they haven't even realized yet.

It's also really fucking annoying how IBR plans are in limbo while they duke it out in courts. Like fine, you don't like the SAVE plan. Change it back to repaye and lemme pay my fucking payments to get credit. All this does is prolong my repayment period while the loan servicers don't get paid. Those non-payments undoubtedly will hurt them more but that's a complex topic to lay out (re: finance shit).

And for those who wanna say it's a handout, fuck you. I've paid $80k on my loans in 7 years, but they have actually went up by $20k during their lifetime due to interest. By the time I reach 120 payments, the difference the government is giving me is negligible compared to the benefit they get. Ignoring the time value of money, the government/society is getting a pretty roi by influencing people to work in these sectors under pslf.

Financial aid is originally a department of defense project. Trying to cut it is for sure a pussy foot move and not the war hawk thing to do, Entire cost is tiny compared to the defense budget, it’s a drop in the bucket even if they forgave all the student loans. Original idea was just to increase the odds people would be educated enough to fulfill government defense projects. More educated people the better the odds this happens. It’s how we have like all of our military technology

HypeBeastI love weed, probably more than most, but fuck me I don't wanna smell it while I'm driving. The amount of people smoking their mid tier skunk weed on the highway is absurd, not to mention dangerous. Also you gotta be something stupid to do that. Get one cop behind you and you're fucked.

I stopped at the local shack at my workplace to make a pitstop and have a pocket beer. This old dude rolled in and packed a bowl for us. Went absolutely non-verbal. Weed is just too powerful nowadays.

I can't smoke it anymore because i literally get anxiety in the action of getting ready to smoke it.. It just doesn't work for me anymore. I miss the days of having a drug dealer who sold me 10% THC weed. Dispensaries have put them all out of business and it makes me sad.

this is why I've transitioned to spliffs over the past few years, the tobacco offers a little upper with the downer. if its just straight weed I just get way too high

Used to love spliffs but when I quit cigs I had to quit spliffs and i think that's why I get so damn high & paranoid now. I'll still smoke after a few beers but I legit can't do it sober anymore.

Interesting. I quit cigs and weed last year, and weed kinda does the same to me now. I also used to rip spliffs heavy so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Same, I just use some CBD herb, and put that in place of tobacco.

could be placebo but the CBD helps with the paranoid/anxiety feeling you mentioned

I somehow managed to get the flu. I survived all through the peak even when we were over 50% positive rates in the community. Get off an 8 day stretch of nights and go 0-60 with symptoms. Fuckkkkk. Was gonna go skiing before the season ends in WV- not anymore. Also had a very important meeting at work I'm gonna have to miss too.

Good genes baby! You can grow better than dispo quality weed at home. I agree though, some batches are absolutely mental and result in an inability to function on the most basic level.
