Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Yeah went straight to work. Got yelled at for being 10 min late lol. Got some antibiotics prescribed.

Lol, I gotta be more careful. At least the tooth was just eating a sausage at a bbq that had a piece of bone in it.Most reasonsble way I've broken something this year.

Work is a little challening, especially trying to fuel up and clean off the machine. But it's nice to not miss anywork. I need the $$.

I'm just glad I didn't fuck it up more when I didn't know it was broken. I knew better than to loft anything heavy with it at work.

All dude gave me was ibupropen lol. What an ass. Luckily a friend gave me some ibuprofen and oxys already that just had a fucked tooth and felt my pain. Honestly pretty dope move on his part.

Friggin numbing wore off by the end of shift so that sucked ass but ate some ibuprofen and was able to get home.

Tooth is salvageable though so thats good cause its my molar.

Getting a root canal tuesday morning. So that should make this not hurt like a bitch, but dude really left wme hanging for the weekend.

Gonna have to get a "crown lengthening " surgery and then a crown. I guess my insirance doesn't cover the surgery so i gotta see what that'll run. Also will have to drive up to Carson city to get it done.

But yeah went okay. Luckily i have a decently high pain tolerance or this would be brutal.

I got the seatbely plugged in constantly and not using it. It's my left collar bone so would be fucked.

Running the machine isn't too bad, I take it out of the sling while I work and try and be very careful of any movements also getting in and out of the cat.

Luckily it's my stick arm so not really much movement just my hand. Obviously being in the park you're turning around a bunch and on weird angles and steep pitches but I think I've been doing a decent job.

I did explain what I do for and he was okay with it. Fuck i already worked a few days including the day after I did it before I knew i broke it.

Have a follow up ortho appt on sat to see how that's healing.

Of course i break my left finally now thay i have an automatic lol. I got pretty good at shifting with my left hand from my several right shoulder injuries.

2 years ago i fucked up my ankle in vietnam. Took a chunk of flesh out and a piece of the bone. That wasn't the most fun road trip driving from Seattle to Tahoe for medical care with a stick. Once I was on the highway it was okay but getting out of the city and having to push the clutch with a week very tender leg was a bitch lol.

Whatever, it's nice to have mobility with the car.

I couldn't care less if he was speeding. I speed all the time either accidentally or because I'm on an open interstate like he was explaining or just because traffic is going that fast etc.

But when I get pulled over I don't get pissed at the cop. I am the one in the wrong and he's doing his job. Guess what, 99% of the time they'll let you off or drop it down to a sub 5 over. Especially if it's 230 in the morning and they realize you aren't a drunk kid about to kill a morning commuter coming home from the bars.


Wo not understanding that there was a 100% chance of him getting pulled over if he saw a cop, then pretending the cops in the wrong for doing his job, then being an ass to the cop is what's ridiculous. Plus daddy getting him off the ticket is gold hahaha

id like to clarify that I was very polite until he said and I quote “You know your lucky kid. I clocked you at 81 coming down a hill. I very well could have wrote you for 90 or cited you for reckless driving, but here’s this it’s two points off and you can try to plea it down”

He legit said he had me at 81 then claims he can just site me for 90 because i was coming down a hill? I hit 82 according to my speedometer, he just blatantly lied.

I pulled over as soon as he hit me with his brights in the median and turned my flashers on, had my insurance, registration, id, front and rear windows rolled down, and keys out of the ignition on the dash. He asked me why I was speeding, I had fallen asleep at my Girlfriends and had forgotten I had to drive my sister to school at 7:00 am. She remembered and woke me up after she finished the movies we were watching. He asked where I came from, gave him the address which is a solid 35 minutes from my house. He asked what I was doing up there and told him what I was doing again. Verified my address, and that the car is registered to my parents, it’s my dad’s policy. He went to run everything and then came back.

Oh to be young and dumb. In most states 20 over the speed limit is enough to be considered reckless driving. Secondly police have a right to give tickets based off assumed presumptions within reason. You coming down a hill a 82 mph gives the officer enough presumption that you could doing over 90 st the bottom of the hill. Typically people won’t speed over a crest and then slow down. They speed over a crest and continue higher speeds down the hill. Hence him being able to cite you for 90.

just to take it a step further here are a list of things that can be considered reckless driving.



Were you driving at a speed that unsafe for the conditions? Yes you going 82 at night on a dark road would be considered by any judge to be unsafe for the conditions.

were you driving with a disregard for the safety of others? Again yes you were well above the posted speed limit during the winter months at night.

were you driving in a way that could cause damage to property or injuries to others? Again yes. See above.

so you checked every box that needed to be checked. You actually got off easy. Stop bitching because YOU broke the law. Man the fuck up and do better.

the cop acted exactly as he should have. You’re just being a little entitled bitch.

Idk, could see it being a thing like they want to do projects that they never will. Like people buying stuff to fix that just sits in the yard. They like the idea of the project but lack either the will or skills to do it. Or both.

I have a ton of tools sitting at my parents in NY. Prolly will sell them next time I go back. A lot are new newish. Just don't ever have a garage out west and moved after I upgraded. At least I used the welder and grinder a bunch at work building rails.

But yeah idk. My mom watched HGTV and picks up dumb shit that sits there. Sure somebody could do something with it but she never will. I think it's just part of the "dream"

2015 A3 with around 100 000km on the clock. The problem is nothing is happening. It's completely fwd. We have had very icy and slippery roads for few weeks. Car is not recognizing any problems. Last time the the haldex was serviced was in 2021.

Any error codes? I currently have a 2019 VW AllTrack, used to drive a 1988 Audi 5000CS Quattro with the Torsen center locker, limited slip, and all that which was great most of the time except for the deterioration on all the vacuum hoses and the $2000 brake system overhaul.

I worked for dude once 6 years ago. He told me he was stoked and wanted me to come back. I didnt go back because covod happened in 2020 or i bet i would have been rehited.

The people working there after him rehired me the last 2 years but had visa issues. Like contract was signed.

Idk weird to harbour such bitterness for that many years for a person you worked with for less than 4 months 6 years ago.

Also i dont really ever talk shit, and generally get along with people at work. Every place ive worked i could go back to except west mtn in ny and they hella fucked me over 8 years ago so I would never go back.

Idk I get he's prolly hammered but jesus lol

i didn’t realize capcut was under bytedance and that’s what i use to edit clips. got the pop up message in the app that it was banned so i deleted it for space. then friend says tiktok is back meaning capcut would be too, go to app store and capcut isn’t on app store. fuck.

Yeah dude needs help. Idk hes got a kid or two snd a wife. Hopefully he keeps his shit together.

A guy that worked day staff ehen I was there last and worked with me at Mammoth last season grooming parks messaged me and said he sent it to HR there. I guess he's back doing some contract work for them. Idk honestly hope he didn't fuck himself but jesus christ that was unhinged. Def spiced up my night lol.

I reached out to anothet coworker from that season at Thredbo. He offered me a job at PC when i was struggling to find housing in Mammoth. Just was like "hey was I a douche?" And he was like nah you're good.

Can't really talk to rando people about snowcats and parks. So I think I was just excited talking shop with people and where they worked and what not.

I think some people misread at first and I rubbed a few people the wrong way. but when they got to know me we became quick friends. I'm weird and a little spectrummy but I'm nice.

Yeah I don't know the kids obviously but the parents are def shot. At least they poured money into the place which it desperately needed. Money from investors with maybe shady vibes lol

They fucked over a lot of people though. Like they leased a bunch of snowguns and thats kinda like, you dont pay for a while so you can get rolling and then you pay. They worked good but another company undercut the price and they sent them back.

They fucked over many employees who only went back for trying to make the home mtn sick. Ski industry is too small to burn ao many bridges.

Idk, not many people I've worked for I feel that way but jesus. Fuck those people. I should have stayed in CO and groomed at Vail instead of moving back east.

We got a storm last Thursday and I had a very important package out for delivery, they didn’t finish their route that day due to the weather. Well here we are Monday and they still haven’t attempted to deliver and the weather has been great. Since the new year I have seen FedEx here once. Any snow on the ground and they won’t deliver it’s insane.

that shit is wild to me. Im in an engineering program and it blows my mind that there are people passing difficult classes who talk like that. I assumed that this specific speech pattern automatically destined you to the streets.

For example, this headline "Tins to know about di seized vehicles EFCC wan sell online" is a real BBC headline.
It's "Things to know about the seized vehicles that EFCC wants to sell online" but written like it was someone from Jamaica who never went to school.

Tried to arrange a carpool thing with coworkers last week to ski. Everyone was like "yeah totally brother". Got word that we were leaving to go to Steamboat at like 7:30am. Called my coworker before leaving my place and got absolutely stood-up on the carpool ring. Still ended up going and had one of the best solo days ever.

Tried to ask if there was another group day going on this week and homeboy was like "Yeah but you don't ski with us though" lol what the fuck man.

Pidgin has been a thing for awhile. Language is fluid. It’s not “what the BBC is up to”. It’s a real language and culture and they’re making articles in it.

dood!! i hear ya on this! ive tried to link up with an NS member who lives in the same valley as me to ski and they’ll come ski at the same resort i am at and not hit me up and ignore me when i reach out.

but hey, end of the day you can only control you ya know? not worth stressing other people’s actions
