Rant About Whatever

WoFlowzcan’t deal with the fact i randomly with think of how someone i grew up with and cared for sm isn’t in my life anymore all cause of a relationship that lasted 8 months and ruined any platonic friendship we had for the past 7 years. So many times I’ve needed her but can’t reach out or rely on her, because it’s simply better to respect things have changed for the both of us. I’d like to think she feels similar and I believe she does after the conversation and letter from her before going to school, but respect continuing to have boundaries to protect both our peace. It’s just difficult to deal with and i go into panic and a like paralysis in those little moments i need her.

MinggMy current job is what most nurses would consider a forever job. Great hours/schedule/no call or holidays or weekends. But it is sooooooo boring at times. The operating room is cool but after a while… a fracture is a fracture is a fracture. And a joint replacement is the same time and time again. Every now and then you’ll get a super young person (just had a 27 year old have a hip replaced). The procedure is still identical but you get to learn a. Little bit about why that happens. But still doesn’t change your practice. Just tickles your mind for half a day. I miss medically complex patients but I don’t miss all the dumbass busy work. I guess that’s why I’m in grad school 😂

And I probably spend 2 hours per day, on the clock, studying or doing school work. So that’s kind of nice to get paid for that. But also… idk haha I miss using my brain at work. It’s mind numbing at times. Which I realize I would have killed for at one time but idk anymore 😅

But the lack of care and effort and especially common sense around here is just insane to me. Patrol isn't a profit center so our GM hates us and everyone is just straight up disrespectful and does not care. It's a free-for-all for ski school because they're the babies to management. We're talking skiing in closed areas with cats working, ducking ropes at night with headlamps, etc.

I did a cat escort yesterday after being told it was for "inspecting Nordic trails" when it was one of our ski school supervisors dropping trees with a chainsaw for Christmas trees with people from corporate who have no training in that or anything. Like are you that fucking dumb to not think "what if? one of these fall on someone? Do you know how fucked we all are if that happens?

Same guy also went out this summer with his Sawyer crew and built a bunch of sketchy wooden features and rails in the woods and God knows what else. Technically since there are screws into wood, it's a man made feature and will most definitely get someone smoked based off of the skier clientele here.

muffMan.What helps me is just eating a fuck ton of veggies every meal. Volume > high calorie foods. Green beans are my fav rn. I also see people eating just packets of sugar free jello for this but that sounds vile.

Also invest in a scale, I am amazed at how many almonds I can put down and it being like 700 calories after. I wouldn’t bother tracking but just helps to put in perspective.

theabortionatorEveryone has different methods of writing, but I kind of hate how hard it is for me to finish shit. Whether a song or an article I pretty much have to finish it in the moment or its borderline impossible to get.

It's stupid cause ill write like 90 percent of a song then just get lost trying to finish it.

I have to be in the same mindset to get it done. When I used to write articles for NS I would really try and finish a rough draft in one sitting then edit from there. Some people can take big breaks and get back into it. For me everything I write is something I feel at a specific time. Once that time passes I can't access it again.

It's all good. Its just my process but frustrating sometimes

WoFlowzJust failed pre calculus in college. Legit don’t even know what more I coulda done after studying and asking for help and attending office hours. Somehow ended up with a A+ and a A- and a B in my other courses. Gonna have to no credit pre calc and probably retake at a CC and transfer it in and stock up on bio electives next sem cause i can’t do more math. Even if it fucks my chances at staying on track for Pre Med
