my practice is 100% PI. all of my income comes from auto insurance policies (PIP). so yea, what i do is whack...but its less whack than what state farm does to people.

I actually do a lot for people and it has literally zero to do with chiropractic. i work with my attorney friend to help get people large payouts for bodily injury claims. life changing amounts of money

I literally rent rooms in my office to a physiatrist and an orthopedic spine surgeon who both rely on me and my referrals. but yea, im basically just a nail tech lol

MinggHey now, I actually had a good experience with chiro in college. I had done something to my knee. I don’t know what - a sprain of some sort and had quite painful and limited range of motion. My bestie’s dad is a chiropractor and he used this… thing? It pulsated and from what he described “micro adjusted the scar tissue” in my knee. I immediately had full, painless range of motion and never had any issues. It was sweet. Knowing more now, I’m assuming the scar tissue was impinging somewhere and is very much still in my knee, just out of the way. Which is good enough for me 👍🏻


I also believe chiro has potential to be helpful when used in conjunction with other modalities such as PT. But stay away from necks. It’s been a while but in undergrad I believe there are a few evidence based adjustments(correct me here if I’m wrong I really don’t know much). And when coupled with PT, select patients can have better outcomes. So I will give you that!

I work with an ortho surgeon that charges thousands of dollars for PRP which has not been proven to be effective. Not an excuse but… literally bullshit interventions are everywhere in health care. He also kicked me out of his OR because I (correctly) told him his cementing techniques were harming his patients. Had a sweet ol 96 year old lady (who should never have been allowed to have surgery) and he was setting her up to be in pain and/or need a revision. So I spoke up and 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Worth noting he also ships all his revision patients to another surgeon so they can get fully reimbursed for the surgery, whereas if he did his own revision it would not pay well, if at all. So they def have an… arrangement. It’s fucked. Do with that what you will 🙃

El_Barto.in short. chiro is largely a scam, i agree. but i found a way to help people and its through bodily injury claims. Only entity negatively affected by my business are auto insurance companies which are universally evil and 100% the actual bad guy.

I really think the goal over next 5+ years will be self insuring. I know health insurance you can’t really afford to not have, but insurance in general is a business and they do all they can to deny coverage. It’s like buying an extended warranty—why would I bother buying one if all I’m gonna do if I ever need to use it is have to fight and fight for benefit coverage.
