Looks like I am NOT going into work today. Need to wait 2 hours maybe 3 for my buddy to wake up so that I can send him to the store for pedialyte.

It's a good thing fall lasts extremely long at the mountain and I didn't have much to do. Also was going to get him in the system over at the mtn today, show him the rails, get him to help me move some shit, and do some welding.

I can say I am 100% NOT going to work today.


Holy jesus I just want to not feel like garbage right now instead of curled up in my room puking like the exorcist into my garbage.

Apparently my facebook new feed is nothing but people regurgitating the news, other posts, memes, and their shitty understanding of the world in general.

Also, people know about Paris, the news has been reporting on it. If you didn't post 84 things about it tomorrow, people would still know. Same with most of the other stuff you're posting.

Do these people realize how many of them their are? Idk if they're wanna be journalists or what but come on people. We don't need millions of people posting the same shit every fucking day.

I've said it before, facebook needs a word filter. I would probably add every word relating to sports like football, not because I hate it but because of people need to share a million of the same fucking posts about it. Same with words like Isis, Paris, muslims, Obama, and a bunch of others.

Half the time people post about some of these issues, they have no idea outside of some shitty not even correct facebook memes they read.

Im going to start a college where you don't need to take bullshit pre-reqs like MAT990 and whatnot that just wastes time, and instead allows you focus in on classes that will actually benefit you in life and maybe even in a career-settings right off the bat. Honestly, you could get your degrees in 2 years or less and not have to waste thousands more on an extra two years because the first two were bullshit high school classes you're paying for.

Isn't there another shop that can do it faster? Maybe just pick up your skis and go to another shop. Going in there to pick up your skis might get them to help you and if they don't then they don't want their business.

The black lives matter protests in Minneapolis are backing the wrong case. Yes, an unarmed black man was shot. No, he was not shot execution style or was he sane in any way. Their cause is worthy but they need to stop thinking that everytime a black man gets shot by police it's a hate crime.

The story I've been hearing on the inside is that the guy beat his girlfriend half to death and kept trying to beat her while the paramedics were trying to take care of her. Then when the cops intervened he tried to fight them, he was just asking to be shot. Deservingly he did.

So some guy who beats his girlfriend senseless and decides to fight cops gets shot and that somehow turns into "Unarmed black man shot execution style." I swear, people will believe anything to feel like they need to be part of some fucking movement. The cops would have shot this guy if he was white.

This winter my plan was to work full time at the mountain, I told my boss I would work full time this year, and put in my schedule. Last night I go out to sleep at one of my friends houses and due to a last minute change of plans we head over to my ex's house to hang out there for the night. As my mom does every so often, she decides to track my iphone, sees that instead of being where I said I was going to be, I was hanging out with my ex. She then drives by at 4 in the morning to make sure that's where I actually was (which is an entire half hour away from her house), went through my car and stole my cigs, then when I get home she tells me that she doesn't trust me enough to live in her house by myself for a couple months (even though she would be there every weekend), and tells me to email my boss telling him I can't work this winter.

For future reference, it's usually good to figure those things out before you leave the shop so you can avoid situations like this. I'd go in, tell them that you need them by Monday and if they won't mount them ASAP ask for your shit and go to another shop. I'm hoping you didn't pay them upfront though.

Lame. I would really go in and pick up your skis and get your money back. They have to give you a refund if they haven't done the work yet. Also going in there might just get them to do the work now since it doesn't really take much time to mount skis. I got the run around once from Christy Sports which is a big store in Boulder CO. I just wanted a hot wax and was at my in-laws so I called ahead and they said they could do it the next day. I dropped the skis off called the middle of the next day and they said they didn't know what day they would be done. I asked him to check with the shop manager and to just let me know what he found out when I got down there to pick up my skis making it clear that I was picking up my skis that afternoon because I was leaving the next morning for Winter Park. When I got down there the guys had finished my skis and were waxing my wife's.
How does this shop know you don't have a rail jam this weekend?

Seems very unlikely that lifts will turn tomorrow. I took the day off and everything. Timberline changed their message from suggesting that a few lifts would turn tomorrow to saying that they might just open the bunny hill for a preview on Saturday. Temping to plan a hike instead of going to bluegrass and micros tonight.

My roommate has routinely for the past couple of weeks been hot boxing with his friend in his car. Which is fine with me, his choice and I'd rather he be high than drunk. However lately he has been coming back to our dorm and throwing his cloths which absolutely reek of pot on the ground and leaving them for days. It is honestly getting to the point where my stuff smells. Between him and my other roommate I don't think I have ever met more inconsiderate people.

I need to find a different living situation quick.

Inconsiderate people in general drive me nuts. I don't get how people can be so oblivious to the people around them. Or the ones that know, such douches.

If you want to live in a garbage can that's fine, but if you have roommates, respect them wanting to live in a place that's reasonably clean and disease free.

Cool now I get to wait around until Wednesday when you said "call and we'll have them done by the end of the day" which turned into call and we'll have them done in 2 days.

So I either spend another 2 days at my apartment or I go home and drive 2 hours up here to get them on Wednesday. Well at least I'll ski on Friday but I'm still fucking pissed.

I feel you on pretty much everything you posted on here. I drove a snow plow in Banff last year. You have no idea how retarded people are in the winter. It would be full whiteout conditions, driving slow as fuck just to see where the road is and people would still pass me!!!!! How the fuck is your shitty Honda Civic with all seasons drive better then my snowplow? Hope you enjoy that windshield full or salt and sand from my spinner! Also I don't care if it's a powder day. I have had social anxiety since I can remember. It's kinda funny because people ask "Why don't you come out?"...and then you become the friend who always has excuses for not going out. Nobody really wants to know the reason why you don't want to go out. Also girls will ask " Your an awesome guy! How come you never have a girlfriend?"...because I'm fucking terrified of talking to random people in a public setting.

If I tell a client you'll call them back, please do that. When I ask you later if you called them and you say yes, only for me to get another call from them yelling at me that you never called them back-not ok.

And to the transmission shop that's had my car for a month, FUCK YOU. I understand the job wasnt an easy one but it takes you no time to pick up the phone and call me and let me know what's going on. Don't get pissy with me that I'm calling you to find out what the fuck is going on AFTER you've already been paid. Fuck you, I want my car back so I can do awesome shit again you fucking shitstains.

On the plus I'm flying to mother fuming Norway in a few hours. Really bad time to go but I booked this flight 8 months ago and I really really really could use a vacation

They asked you to pay them before hand? Yikes. I've never paid anyone full for any sort of work beforehand, they lose all incentive to get that final amount.

if you're buying bindings at the store with the mounting, they don't really want to mount skis to bindings that havent been paid for if that makes sense. I hope you figure that out though, I've seen some people go through hell getting skis mounted and it's not fun. (hopefully not jinxing myself saying this my skis are getting mounted today)


I don't have enough money to ski and build my miata and that makes me sad. I guess my cars getting built before summer instead of spring :(
