I just talked to some idiot that spent $100 on a Stanley cup and accessories for said cup.


One of the few things I feel is worth the money its nice and big too if I don't want to burn gas I can troll slowly or even drift and chill. Marina is 5 mins from my house.

I went skiing in Austria for 9 days the $2k hotel room stung. Everything else was a bargain flight OK lift tickets OK food and beers super cheap fresh powder gnarly terrain was unreal and I just relocated my home office and clocked in at 3 every day.

A few grand to see some fucking concert...barf...

Why do 200,000 morons go out of their way to act like drunk morons at the shittiest tour stop on the PGA Tour? Noone can even name a guy playing since they are all on LIV its all off duty cops on bachelor parties and shit.

Skiing and having a boat takes up all my money and I'm kinda broke but at least I don't spend $$$ on crap like that.

nah seeing phish at that orb place would be dope as hell. would rather spend the dough on skiing tho

Venmo is so fucking stupid unless you're trying to pay friends with credit cards. Otherwise extra steps that are annoyingly unnecessary. Just open your bank app, zelle to whoever. Done. But noooooo gotta use venmo that requires linking a bank account and transferring out funds in a delayed fashion.

Just a thought, but one of the major ways schools receive public funding is based on attendance numbers. If you all decided to stop going to school until transit and lunch ladies are back, you could basically put the school in a choke hold lol.

My surgeon last week was working in two ORs. The nurse in his other room pissed him off and he spent a good 10 minutes bitching at ME, like I was the reason he was mad??? I let him finish asked if he felt better and then told him next time he’s gonna have to make an appointment if he wants therapy.

He didn’t complain our next 2 surgeries 😁

Idk if I ingested biofreeze or had an allergic reaction but for the last 4 days my throat been swelling and I've had a soar throat, but now I got an insanely stuffy nose and headache so prolly just sick.

NSP is a trash organization and a terrible scope of practice yet most patrols are going towards only hiring EMTs/WFRs but at the same time won't be affiliated with local agencies for CE credits or EMS agencies refuse to work with them on it. I've been an EMT for two years working jobs that require the cert but won't do CEs which is fucked, but fuck being a stretcher fetched for fireboys

Kind of random but I did have a surgeon bring his speaker into a room once before the patient was asleep. She was like 85 and the surgeon was listening to Cyclone by Baby Bash very loudly. Poor lady went asleep to that song 😂😂

I really don't like all these shows being sold as packages now. Honestly vegas isnt even a place I care thay much about. New venue would be cool to check out but too much hype.

Dead and co are playing like 50 shows there.

I guess im glad i dont care to see more than the occasional drug band show now. Sucks moe. And biscuits came through tahoe the same week at the cbc but i had to work. Really only jamband shows i was bummed to miss

Not entirely but a significant amount of tickets are being sold as packages. Its CID or some company. I think dead and co is the same.

Some people are paying 1k per night hotel+ticket. Idk just not a sick deal. This is the reason I'm not into phish Mexico etc. Wayyy too expensive. I get it being epic or whatever but I think of traveling for that 3 for months and seems way more fun than 4 nights of phish.

I went to Seattle last spring. Would like to see dead and co one last time but not gonna go to Vegas.

I usually skip summer tour to go to southern hem winter.

Idk sphere will probably be sick, i dont think people going will regret it, hell maybe ill check it out when less hype, but right now I don't really care enough.

I did do the 3 I think nights of the 2014 halloween run. Only phish poster i bought. I should sell it to someone. Got the last one too. Fun run, also saw two moe. Shows and a daytime greensky bluegrass show. Bunch of friends.

Idk I'm out of the scene at this poimt or as close as I'll ever be. I love music but I think I saw enough shows for a lifetime. I appreciate what I do see way more now.

I guess it makes sense, saw some people older than me do the same thing. At one point I needed to.be at every show. Now its chill.

Would love to do a phish dicks next time I'm in America for summer though. Only done 2 but was a blast and have friends in Denver that I can crash with.

Hell, you could get a room at the embassy or double tree, a tank, a bunch of drinks, some party favors and spend less than the packages people bought for vegas.

Vegas is cool enough idk. Fun but overrated I guess to me.

Ahh I forgot having family in town means you plan for skiing the following day and you get up at said time and everyone bails.

I love them but I've had a week of nothing but plans changing day of or right before and it's fucking annoying

First day back at work in a week. Got a shitload of projects to finish by Wednesday next week, then off to Mammoth for a week.


Pretty sure my boss hates me for the PTO, but multiple of my coworkers leave for a month at a time so its gotta be better than that. Plus I'm Gunna work from Mammoth/Reno since my legs will be fried after one day.

100% agree. Plenty of places you can make work and never have to talk to them again. Tons of state schools, scholarships, or even just working a year somewhere to get in state tuition.

Pretty sure that’s reportable. Also, might want to be careful what you post on here. Some states have mandatory reporting laws regarding abuse, which I support, but also means that authorities could get involved in a case regarding your family whether you want them to or not.

Moe. is playing by me this weekend. Saturday super sold out but Sunday will be chill will be my wifes first jamband show bc she is from Africa I think thats a good one to pick for her.

Wish there was a good show at Picklebarrel tongiht just some Joe Samba dude but I have important work shit in the AM and can't be hungover.

Phish fucked up not adding the second weekend they didn't trust the first to sell out so said some shit about it being the only shows and were stuck. Lame. Destination Vegas will happen annually it'll get cheap eventually that place is huge.

They’re paying for my college and are telling me they get to decide where I go and what money I get. I’m very glad they’re paying for school but I don’t want them to use the $$$ to keep me tied and indebted to them. Quite annoyed about them choosing where I go to school tbh, especially since they’ll probably want me to go to Dartmouth even tho SLU felt like a better fit. So glad I got out of going to Wisconsin like the rest of my family. I do not want to go to a big school at all, what so ever.

you can afford college on your own I help students do it all the time. start looking at your options for state school and community college and apply to your local options. some out of state community colleges only take 90days to establish residency for tuition so that can be an option too but some states will have special scholarships for students coming right out of HS into their CC system, look into that sort of thing. Even without scholarships you can get federal direct loans in your own name that are enough to pay for college, even if your parents refuse to help you with the FAFSA. Down the line no one will care where you went to college especially your first two years

Sucks you might not get to choose your own destiny, but FWIW - both of my older siblings went to Dartmouth (and I got to spend a lot of time there with them) and its probably the dopest school I've ever been to. Really good social/party scene, HUGE outdoors programs that is kind of intertwined with the history of the school (they own their own ski mountain, and Mt. Moosilauke which is my favorite 4k footer in NH) and the students there seem to be more down-to-earth than the people I've met from other Ivys.
