TOAST.went through that a few years ago it sucks. How old is dog?
Mine was 10 when she tore her first, got that one fixed and then tore the other a year later. Her first surgery got infected too so that was also not cool. We didn't get the 2nd fixed. Now she walks with mostly her front legs. We didn't do stretches and exercises to force her to strengthen her back legs back up as much as we should have besides walks. If you got any questions I can go into more detail with my experience, vets are hard to talk to cuz they make you feel like shit all the time, we thankfully found a place that was decent.

Sad thing is she’s not even 3, was some freak thing where she fell down the stairs or something, didn’t even see it happen.



im praying it’s not that, heard two different things from other vets, but waiting on a final ortho visit. She walks fine, but the first day she whined up and down stairs/couches. praying it’s just a strain or mild tear at the most.

TOAST.Even if it is the acl if you focus on her recovery and stretches you should be able to get her back to 90%. That's what the vet told me at least.
My dog was already slowing down when she did it so that didn't help trying to get her to use her weak leg. Neighbor has a young dog with a torn acl and you'd never know it.

But where'd you get that 90% number from? From what I remember its something like half of schools don't even break even. Id 100% believe that the big football schools like any of the SEC, ND, Michigan, Ohio state etc etc etc....... have tens of millions left over to fund other programs. But for every one of those there are 10 small schools with football programs that are fighting to break even or lose money. There's big money in college ball for the big names, the rest are left with crumbs.

VTshredder69I work with someone in the broadcast industry for D1 sports teams and he told me something like all programs get allotted an equal budget for Mens and womens sports equivolently ? So like men's football budget is equivolent to like 13 women's budgets combined? Idk exactly what he said but it seemed whack and I have no idea if that is just something he said while intoxicated.
