Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

CatdickBojanglesMy thoughts exactly. I don’t think the motor is seized but it had to have done permanent damage. There was zero oil in it when I got out to where she was. It’s got 6k miles on it. The point of her buying it brand new was for it to be reliable, after whatever damage was done this time who knows how reliable it will be.

100% should replace your engine. Metal on metal with no lube tends to cause galling.

lol clearly you’ve never worked in operations at a ski resort. everyday your not open you are losing money at this point. unsure what mountain you speak of but i can guarantee that they are trying to open as fast as they can and they are doing the updates to keep people engaged. its often a situation where they are just sneaking by with enough to open without it being completely skied out within the day so it is quite literally a day by day call and greatly impacted by what the weather allowed and what the forecast predicts.

since you said corporate, i’m assuming its a mountain who has an expectation that once they open, they are 7 days a week until close so they need to be confident they have enough snow to withstand the dry spells. weather seems to be a challenge everywhere this year.

I dont really follow comp skiing, but I saw the reruns of the the three podium runs from Stubai and I thought AHall's run was wayy better than Evan or Macs.

skied hard today. very tiring. on the last run i had to stop like 4 times and sit on the snow because the muscles in my thighs started cramping. this has never happened before, and as i was watching tv i stretched my legs and had to stop because the pain started again. i hope this isn't a thing im literally 16.

Waited 3 hours in the lift line for snowbird to open before giving up.
Why couldn't they have told us at 9 that they're nowhere near ready to open?

I get that they can't give us a time estimate, but they definitely knew it would be multiple hours

Was this a recent visit? Mono symptoms typically take a few weeks to start, had it last winter after hooking up with a rando a few weeks prior to symptoms, assumed it was the flu but the body aches were insane, and I knew it was worse when I saw my piss looked like whiskey even after drinking water. Pray it’s just a seasonal flu cause I couldn’t ski for almost a month for the safety of my internal organs (liver and spleen enlarge), shit is fucking awful and all you can do is rest and wait.

yes, thursday-yesterday. got bumps on my tongue and my throats like white. throat feels like lava anytime i talk or swallow. Im wiped out and haven’t left bed. idk wtf it is. ig it’s prolly not mono. unless its from two weeks ago 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hmm yeah couldn’t tell ya then, mono happens from sharing saliva, hence why it’s nicknamed the kissing disease. When I had it about 10 days in my sore throat hit and I couldn’t swallow without squirming in pain so I had to take ibuprofen often. Give it a few days and see what happens, if you have it, take care of yourself and recover, then likely never have it again. Could also be something less serious hopefully.

My sleep schedule is so fucked for the past 2 weeks I’ve been staying up till 4-6 and it’s gotten to the point where my body doesn’t even get tired till then. Worst part is I’ll wake up at like 8 and I’m supposed to study but then I’ll pass tf out again till like 12. Luckily classes are over and my last final is on Thursday but sheesh I need to get a grip lmao. Even dabs don’t work anymore and the concerta probably doesn’t help either. I just need to graduate and get a job so that I have responsibilities that I need to wake up early for because when I don’t have a set schedule for something I need to do I’m fuuucked. Definitely need to get a grip lmao

Weed doesn't help you get restful sleep. THC prevents you from entering REM cycle, just like alcohol. So when you go to sleep stoned you don't get any restful sleep for the first several hours. It's counter-intuitive because it definitely makes it easier to fall asleep.

I was stoned for like 10 years straight and I was never able to get the duration and quality of sleep that I get now without it

Go to the doctor and get tested for strep. If it comes back positive they'll put you on antibiotics and you'll feel better in 2 days

Deff sounds like strep to me but one other annoying thing about mono is that you frequently get false negatives on your first test.

One of the most miserable times of my life was the two weeks I was walking around with undiagnosed mono. My body just felt super off and I felt like I was in a daze 24/7. Shit sucked, followed by one of the worst sore-throats I've ever had in my life.

I've heard the founder call it both O N 3 P and "on 3 P" on a podcast though

So anything goes...
