Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Why do all the conspiracy theories these days have to end up in weird racist alt right territory. I've had several that popped up from friends on social in the last day or two that went right to weird problematic race stuff.

My sister has a pit that has bit 4 people, including my father. She regularly gets upset at me for being unwilling to go over to her house. She’s had a house for 2 years and I’ve never been over lmao

It's underrated just how vicious Weiner dogs can be. My right middle finger will always have a deep scar in it because of one of these demons. Every pitbull I've encountered has been nice to me.

I am wary of pit bulls in general. More so than other dogs I do not know because they are more dangerous than other dogs.

Like dawg, you gotta take a step back and reflect on what you’re saying for a second. Sure, there are some good dogs out there with owners who properly train them. But when you have statistics that look like this:



Then maybe it isn’t really such an owner thing? Like the mf’s were literally bred to aggressively bait bears and fight other dogs. The “bad owners” argument isn’t worth much when the statistic is that skewed.

I like pitties. I think many pit bulls are sweetie pies. Bunch of haters in these comments. One Google shows that half these statistics people are pulling up at BS.
SchizoSkierI’ve only been bit by pitbulls too (never been bit by my pitbulls) (not including bites from my own German shepherd) and i am not denying that they aren’t naturally more aggressive. What im saying is that when they’re trained properly they can easily be good dogs but most ppl who buy pitbulls don’t put in the time to train them or socialize them (or just completely abuse or neglect them) so they end up being a danger to others. Also a lot of pitbull owners don’t use their brains. Although mine are super friendly and have had zero problems I would NEVER even consider bringing them off leash and I supervise them heavily even tho they’re always on a leash in public. I do not let children pet my pitbulls even tho I am fairly confident they would react well. I also believe if you see a pitbull in public it’s smart to not approach it without asking because 75% of pitbulls aren’t trained properly

Got placed on a PIP at work (performance improvement probation/plan) and as my bosses put it, if I my name comes across their desk even once then I'm fired.

I'm not the best healthcare worker but I don't mean to put anyone elses asses on the line or even worse, harm our patients, but I've been deemed incompetent and non-proactive which sucks to hear, I felt I've been doing pretty OK recenly while being on nightshift and dealing with tough staffing ratios, but it is what it is. I'm not mad, just sad and dissapointed in myself.

With being laid off being said, I will be having to move back to MI for a few just to clear my head and get some breathing room. I think part of the difficulties of working in healthcare can be also due to stressors outside of work, like insane cost of living, being behind on bills, and simply just not having any money at all to seek out additional help or therapy. My life in the last year has literally been turning and burning any sort of paychecks towards bills, gas and food, and some weeks its either one or the other, so it's really really hard to show up to work everyday ready to "Save lives" when you cant even save your own. I'm not blaming other people for my mistakes but it's just how it is for some people. Id rather be unemployed for a minute surrounded by my family then work 40+ hours/week with the threat of homelessness looming.

Yeah. It's a motherfucker to swallow. But it is what it is I guess. Going to be a long drive back home, but at least I get to see my dogs and cats. I can't wait to see my homie Paka.
15 years almost in an amazing place. The west instilled a love for skiing that I can't forget but it's time to back home for a bit to revaluate things and go from there. If not Salt Lake again then it's somewhere else out west. 'Till then, I need a break and I need to hang with family and teach my niece and nephew a few things about bending skis lol

Well I think I agree in not legislating morals, people voting based on their worldview/values is not an issue of church and state separation, it's just democracy. I would expect people of all faiths and creeds to vote out of their views.

100%. There's no escaping subjectivity of values and it's effect in policy in any sort of democracy. Can't really get around that.

I thought the military was all about wokeness and drag shows?

US Military sucks its just the worlds largest welfare program and a paycheck for losers who can't contribute any other way. Of course when it comes to 'culture wars' they can be counted on to come down on the wrong side of every issue.

Yes but polls consistently show the majority is in favor of abortion so this vote is shit. Traditional interpretation of our constitution is pretty clear about the separation of church and state so you're wrong saying that's just democracy. Elected officials have a duty to their constituents, regardless of their own personal beliefs. They have been failing in that respect to epic proportions. So fucking annoying.

Update: Got hit with the "Resign or get terminated" call earlier today. So yeah. Chose the resignation route to save some sort of face because termination is bad for business. Resignation is always the best route, or at least a two-weeks notice for anyone else wanting to quit their job but also knows you're going to get fired at some point.

It's a 23-hour drive back to MI and I think I can bang it out in two 12-hour shifts and just sleep at rest stops.

The consequence of elected officials voting against their constituents should be lack of re-election, but a representative democracy is designed to absolutely allow the elected officials to not conform to the popular vote. There's good and bad reasons behind this, but also kind of the 'worst of both worlds' scenario between tyranny of pure democracy and tyranny of a malevolent dictator.

Anyways, you can't determine an 'ought' from an 'is'. Politics will always be subjective in nature. Personal beliefs and subjective opinion aren't necessarily dissimilar to religion, no matter what you believe.

i had the opposite problem on my old jeep, would get stuck in 4wd sometimes. had to put it in 2wd and then gun it in reverse for it to pop out. maybe throw yours in 4wd and try the same thing? haha idk transfer cases do weird shit

Yeah good thing it’s not that. Also it’s not winter, but kinda sucks on dirt but doable.


I’ve done the whole reverse, neutral etc… Even tried hitting it a hard reverse turned and nothin. Oh well, hopefully a mechanic can tell me what’s wrong and if it’s an easy fix I’ll diy.

I’m just a little bit drunk and tonight my friends(and boyfriend) joked about making a dating profile for one of our friends. He is my boyfriends best friend and I’d consider him a good friend as well. He is a great guy, has a good career and treats everyone 10/10. He’d make a great boyfriend. Well, I decided to make him a tinder. But my boyfriend said hinge was better. So I made him a hinge. But before I made the hinge I ended up downloading tinder and logging in. In my defense, I was trying to make a new profile but I guess when I deleted tinder after getting with my boyfriend I did not delete my profile, just the app. So it was still me. And I had like over 100 new matches and my drunk ass blurted that out. So my boyfriend was like wtf! And I said hey that’s a compliment to you! And he was drunk too so it kind of ended there. I deleted my profile and made a new one for our friend and he spent the next hour looking through girls. And I felt like I did a good thing. I want him to find a girl and be happy. He’s so great.

Never resign always take the termination and file for unemployment. Especially if you are moving and need some free time and free money.

If you didn't work there for 2+ years they aren't even on the hook for your UI it won't affect their rates you're previous employer typically is.

my dad gives me stupid projects to help around the house and today was to burn our last name into this big piece of drift wood from michagan to put on a shelf. The stupid wood burner was switched to on when i plugged it in and when i went to screw our little metal name plack into it i burned my whole fuckin hand and have to take myself to urgent care.
