Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

MinggIt really fucking pisses me off when people complain about how "hard" their jobs are compared to other peoples. Like they're the only people who ever do anything..
People who bitch about what they do in general piss me off. I get if there are certain parts of your job you don't like. thats understandable. But constantly bitching about what you have to do is so stupid. Just quit, like you aren't doing anyone a favor by sticking around with your negativity.


Waitresses and bartenders kill me on this. As if they have the hardest job in the world. Realistically they just spend to much time talking about shit like that and mindless gossip.

Right?! One of the dudes I work with had ONE task to do over the span of the entire summer. It took him 9 hours total and he's making it out like he spent so much time helping us out and he's preaching about how we should be thankful about it. Meanwhile he's shutting everyone else out. He did his work and it was good, but we've been here all summer working too. Sometimes putting in over 20 hour weeks unpaid and he has the nerve to call us all out for not working as hard as him... It's fucking pathetic. I told him straight up if he didn't want to work and/or if he's gonna be a baby about it that he should quit so we can find a new person asap to fill in his shoes. He did not take that well, lol.

I feel kind of the same way, even though I was a dishwasher/ in a previous lifetime, and I major in a semi-foodservice heavy field. to be fair, foodservice industry employees get the shit end of the stick even though its an industry that amasses a huge number of profits per year. it really stems down to the owners choice on how they choose to pay their employees, not a whole lot the customer can do to change that.

Tipping is most certainly appreciated, but it deals with the service side of things. If you do a good job, you'll probably get rewarded. People think its BS but there are people out there that do value service, and will pay you for it. it is a nice feeling getting flipped a 20-spot for doing something that probably doesn't warrant it though, but its all good in this hood.


part II of my rant, I should probably have my direct deposits already set up, but it is still shitty never getting a paycheck on time. we got paid Thursday and Friday and there isn't any sign of my check, and some new employee took what was my mailbox, so maybe they are just pulling some passive aggressive bullshit and are mad about something I did. just want this figured out and im getting really tired of all the unnecessary fuck-ups my work always seems to have.

The orange as a garnish has nothing to do with them trying to get people to bring out the flavors of the beer, and everything to do with trying to make people feel fancy and special with their little orange on the side. To get that "What are you drinking?" question or have people no that they're drinking something other than budlight.

It's a great marketing strategy, it fucking worked wonders 5 or so years ago but don't tell me it's all about the flavor.

commercials are 100% why I can't watch television. I guess its the marketing game but every single thing is made out to be more than it really is and it annoys the fuck out of me. It sucks when you just want to help people out and be a good person to them and they go and take advantage of that. I've been getting screwed over lately and I'm too big of a fucking pussy to stand up for myself because I don't want to upset people and feel too guilty when I do. I've let people walk over me my whole life and it's really getting to be too much but I'm too soft to stand up for myself.

These kids need to shut up. I moved into my dorm Sunday and gotten maybe 3 hours of sleep total. I try to go to bed early but these kids are super fucking loud and then I get a migraine. They normally finally quiet down by like 2 and by then I've got a headache that'll stop me from sleeping for at least 4 hours. It's like 6 by the time I finally get to sleep and then my roommate wakes up at like 7:30. Classes start tomorrow and I'm honestly starting to think I can't do this. Shit sucks.

Legit, get used to it. All of college will be like this. I went to a big university coming from a farm, so noise level at night drove me crazy. If its Sunday-Wed. ask them to quiet down. Just say you have a test early in the morning. But really you just have to acclimate to it. I'm still not good at tuning it out, but I've gotten better. But know that I feel your pain. A lot of people don't know how it is being a light sleeper or just needing regular amounts of sleep to perform well on tests. And a lot of people come from huge houses where noise at night didn't matter and they don't realize in dorms/apartments sound spreads so easily.

Thurs-Sat. you just gotta let it slide because its party time and you don't want to be that guy.

My roommates were the same way. I always had early classes but they stayed up so late every night. Then they would complain about me waking up too early. Shit sucks but I learned to sleep when 6 people were in the room hanging out. Ear plugs/ noise canceling headphones + zzzquil did wonders too.

Get on good terms with your roommates. It is not fun living with people you hate. I had some pretty shit roomies but wish we would have gotten along better.

Yeah its not so much the people inside, we all get along and are quiet by like 11. It's the people outside screaming and yelling random nonsense that are the issue.

I can't do zzquil and wake up early. For some reason that stuff really hits me hard. Like I'll get up and just keep falling asleep over and over again haha.

honestly, the more and more people want a "PC" country, the more and more I see subtle racist shit everywhere. just saw an ad from the truth on youtube with a black dude whose character name is purpdrank, like are we really going to continue telling people they need to watch what they say when we turn around and do the exact same shit? I have a few more examples of racist shit that wasn't intended to be, but im high and cant think of them, but does anyone else feel the same way? I honestly feel like im going fucking insane.

IT's not really great, IT's all people posting this fake idea of who they are. Like a high school reunion. That said most of my friends just post about normal shit, legit traveling, and seeing music.

I use it for networking a bunch or I'd get rid of it.

Buying and selling concert tickets, finding places to stay, people to carpool with, etc.

Idk, but around 08 it started to go down hilll, 09 really dipped off. Idk. Added with my memory issues I get requests from people I don't remember but I have like 40 mutual friends then I add them. Now my news feed is all this random shit.


Plus facebook will randomly decided to put shit in your feed to fuck with you. A person that you've been friends with since 9 or 10 years ago, never once messaged or commented on anything, all the sudden you get 2 of their posts in your feed.

Trying to web everything together. It's good though. Facebooks shitty ness is why I don't use it that much.

Was nice doing summer terr this year got on it once in 4 weeks.

If you're against gays getting married, don't marry a gay, don't go to their wedding, throw darts at pictures of drag queens, but don't oppress other people while saying it's your freedom, and anyone who help gays is squashing your religion.


I would fight for your ability to practice your stupid fucking religion. Stop being bigots, stop playing the victim, stop oppressing people, and just live your lives.

Tell people you don't agree with them, invite them to church, pray for them, sacrifice goats, whatever, just stop being douches.

Nobody is after you, nobody is stealing your religion from you, people just want to be treated equally.

Man, I fucking hate my job. So god damn much. I love where I work, but i fucking HATE what I do. Being a cashier fucking blows, especially at a busy ass grocery store. I can't stand it. I applied for a different position about a month ago and apparently I got the spot..but It's been a while since I've heard anything and I had to change my availability for the other position, and I'm getting scheduled with my new availability on bullshit cashing shifts. I've also worked almost two weeks straight without a day off. If I didn't get paid as much as I do I would be fucking out of there so fast.

After labor day weekend I have some serious complaining to do. Fuck this shit.

Well the store manager told me about it first, then my team leader/supervisor who is basically my immediate boss told me later that she would like to have me trained in that department and I had to change my availability on the application for it to be final. And that's the last i really heard of it. If I can manage to find the time to talk to her tomorrow I'll definitely do it.

I guess BPD is arresting people for having parties now? And the residents near campus are trying to get the University to stop our busing from North to South campus(most live on North and party on South) which would be forcing students to get rides or taxis orrrr drive drunk...

Is it due to noise ordinances, destruction of property, or fire code violations? Because if so that's totally fine. It's a good move to inform your neighbors if your gonna have a get together, and leave the, your number I case things start to disturb them.

Ear plugs. They take a few days to get used to. I finally figured out that 1 Advil pm does it for me and that I NEED to not use my phone when I'm trying to sleep. If you're used to hearing your alarm, you should have no problem still waking up to it. Just test it out on a Saturday to make sure.

This is how I made it through sharing a room with 7 people and needing to be up by 6 am regularly.

Even if you were of age, they're cracking down on it. It's also legal to drink alcohol in NY when you're under 21 if you're on private property with consent from property owners/parents.

I don't know what it's from. My friends had 30 people over(they have 8 people living there) and the party was contained to the basement. 3 of my friends got arrested when last year they would have gotten a $75 noise complaint ticket and a high five for throwing a huge party... Not even kidding last year when our parties would get busted the cops would be really nice about it and make small talk. Hell, one time we even had cops dropping in on the mini ramp. I'm not saying its not illegal but you can't expect people not to party. Its fucking college..

Anyways fuck the parties, I couldn't care less. The part that really pisses me off is that they're trying to shut down busing between campuses. There's not just parties on South campus, thats where a few bars are too. I know people who are 21+ living on North and they use the bus to get to south to go to bars. There's nothing illegal about that and its shitty because I think it's awesome so people don't need to drive/drive drunk.

FUCK YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKING PANHANDLING ASSHOLES(AKA the firefighters) stopping traffic to beg for money. In addition to my hating them panhandling, they're asking for money for THEIR COMMUNITY fire dept from strangers that are probably not from their community.

I should stop traffic on this shitty rod near my house and demand money for repaving it. Even though the people may never come that way again. Even that is more resonable because at least those people used the road once versus me ever having anything to do with these fire depts.

I understand they need money, but do some sort of legitimate fundraiser within your community instead of begging strangers to put money in your boot.

Get the fuck out of the road before you cause an accident.
