Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Yeah, never heard of them until I worked a summer season in BV back in 2018. Could walk in anytime and shop from a decent selection. Only other people wearing them were other guides or outdoor industry workers. Now every basic granola girl who lives in Boise's North End has them.

smoked a pothole saturday in the new whip coming home from skiing. Came out yesterday to drive to work and the whole sidewall of the tire is blown out. Fuck me. Pulled the tire off and threw on the spare because I have an appointment tomorrow and saw the inside of the rim is a little bent. Really hoping I don't have to replace that too.

Glad I have two cars I suppose and can get to work. Already sick of blowing 50 bucks every time I go to work though.


Anybody know how much wear you can get away with when replacing without needing to buy a new set? Odometer is at 11k and its going to be a real kick in the dick if I have to put 4 new on. fwd car by the way.

If the car isn't a very particular AWD car ie: Subie or Audi/VW you can just put two tires on. If it's a relatively common tire you might want to check CL/FB marketplace or local used tire shops (usually sketchy) and source a single with light wear.

Sounds like we are chilling. Guy checked the tread and said I was plenty good just to toss the one new tire on. So that is super dope. Luckily it happened on my front-wheel car and not my 4wd car.


What's not dope is they didn't order my tire when I called in and asked them about it/scheduled it. So now my car is at the dealership till Tuesday minimum. Oh well.

For sure. Had this girl living here that was an issue since before she moved in.(employee housing) dealt with it for too long. HR basically said get fucked. Anyway needed a night off and was snowing anyway. Told people I wasn't coming in the night. Did some winch runs for those guys and went home at 330. Chick shows up a half hour or so later.

People talk about "living rent free in your head" This chick was living rent free in the house. Employee housing is paid out of your check. If you haven't been working the last month and a half you haven't been paying rent. I got HR to do something about it and I took the last couple nights off.

Boss was bummed because it was a weekend. Told him it's not my problem. I never take a sick day, I come in on other people days when needed. Will work 17 hour shifts to get shit done. I needed a break, and they can figure it out.

Was nice to stick to that. I think not working graves anymore and having that grifter chick gone from the house will go a long way. Housing and HR did me dirty letting that chick move in but shes finally gone. Excited for spring laps and getting some chill time in.

Yeah heading to NZ in June. Gotta finally some details with that but got the contract signed. Excited to build some cool shit somewhere far away from here. Also brining my guitar for sure.







If work sucks its noce to chill at home. If home sucks maybe just work more. When both suck it just kinda sucks.

Def looking forward to doing some hiking and camping when it warms up too.

Sparknotes, got rid of one problem. Should have been done months ago/never been a thing but whatever. Hyped for NZ and hopefully some spring sunny turns here. Been playing the guitar a bunch but feels a lot better when I can just zen out in my own space.

Hoping it warms up enough to get some hiking and camping before I head south.

Just had her show back up, had to kick her out again. Told my boss if HR and housing can fix this I'm done for the season. Sucks cause we have a rail jam and banked slalom I was going to build upper mtn late spring. But my mental health is more important than this job.

How many times can you go to HR and housing about an issue. The last time I went I was very honest about my head space currently. I mentioned I was pretty bummed about it not being handled sooner. That i had to deal with it for the season but now a month and a half after she stopped working and should have already been gone. If i need to leave and go on a road trip to see friends, go camping, go do whatever I'm going to. I need to balance back out. If it works out and I stay on to winch this spring and build those events cool, if not whatever. I put more into this place than I ever needed to. At the end of the day it's on them. And if I leave it is what it is.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'ma take them to an actual tire shop for a second opinion. The tech was adamant that they were fine ....but itd be nice to see a second person backing that up

Not being able to sleep sucks ass. If you're trying different things and still struggling, meletonin gummies can go a long way. I try to just sleep normally generally but going multiple days on fucked sleep or being unable to sleep isn't healthy.

Apparently there's a bill in Congress (that probably won't pass) that would provide 30% off purchase of e-bike up to $1500 credit per 2 years. The cutoffs are 150k/300k, single/joint incomes.

This is absolutely retarded. Some proponents of the bill say it's so that low income people aren't excluded from a luxury good.... Wut.... First off whoever decided these income cutoffs is an idiot. I get the push for more bikes but come on if you really need a motor, buy a fucking moped. Ride a bike the way it was meant to ride...with pedals. Otherwise it is now a motorcycle. Such a waste of money to offer a tax credit.
