High school education is failing its students massively. We're talking 5-page papers turned in with no paragraphs, written out without punctuation, using slang like lol in essays about the human body, copying and pasting web links as in-text citations etc. Not to mention the number of people that couldn't be bothered to write more than 3 sentences when the assignment is a multi-page literature review.

also, this is a plug for Zotero. It is literally a lifesaver for anyone who does research reports. Stores all of your sources in folders that you can name/organize (I always did this by class). Then has a word extension so it automatically inserts a work cited page and in-text citations in any of the formats you want. Takes a little bit to get used to, but will save you hours upon hours of work.

No matter the major you end up in, if you can't write a good essay, lab report, research paper, or presentation, you're gonna flounder hardcore.

WoFlowzmy doctor said they were concerned about the ammount of weight i’ve lost in the past two years. which is fuckin stupid cause they told me i was borderline obese freshman year at 205lbs. now i’m down to just barely 170, and stronger than i’ve been and still getting leaner and loosing weight from crew, biking, lifting and skiing. Idk that i’ll be lightweight light (155-160lbs depending on where and what age). I literally don’t see an issue. Like is America so fat that being healthy isn’t considered a normal or healthy weight? this lady made my mom come in to talk to her about it. 😐

SteezyYeeterso i was teaching the other day and i had 2 lil kids going on a double chair. ski patrol lady comes up so i ask her if she could take a kid and she just straight up says "no i dont want the responsibility". no "sorry" or "no thank you" just straight up denies me and gets on the lift. you're a ski patroller, you could potentially be saving a life, and taking a kid up the lift is too much responsibility?! i've also literally never seen anyone say no, let alone a ski patroller! bitch.
