Goretex_VidalI had a similar gpa slope on my HS transcripts but found, from a friend who became dean of admissions at our university, that admissions offices actually saw it as a positive. The applicant was maturing and becoming more serious about their field of study.

Bet. Just got done with my appeal meeting a while ago, I'm hoping the EDU department will allow me to take this. Luckily my major GPA is well above the mark (although it's not my
overall GPA), I completed my capstone paper last semester, which is technically ahead of schedule for me, and for the past 3ish years my GPA has been on a steady increase each semester. So with all of that I'm hoping this will work out, worst case is I have to take the class next semester and my graduation gets pushed back another semester.
Shitty thing is I totally feel capable taking this class, I'm far enough along in my degree that I have the experience needed to teach a class, and I'm genuinely super passionate about reading and writing. Oh well, only thing I can do now is wait for the committee to get back to me. Thanks for the heads up though, I totally went into the meeting with that mindset and I think it helped a lot.
