Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Just took a piss and the stream grazed the top of my pants waistline which diverted part of the stream down my pants. Now I got a giant ass wet spot, obviously piss, going down my pants. Fuck. Does this mean I just pissed my pants?

Im going to say yes. Sounds like it was just more than a few drops causing a giant wet spot so I'm going to have to say yes.

Yeah, if I'm going out to play somewhere. I don't play out much though. Usually just open mics. This was a friends gig but it was near me. I didn't ask him for anything. It was close. Was just kinda bummed at what they offered him. I got a few beers. That's all I needed. Just helped him with some gear and played so he could take a break.

When the weather gets nice I might try and play more though.

Haven't been feeling great. Haven't really been sleeping much either. I work nights so that's already a thing but not sleeping much even in those slots. Covid fucked me super hard so been pretty lethargic and sick feeling the last month. Not much energy.

Kinda just hanging in there, riding the wave and taking things one day at a time.

Yeah that's def the goal. Idk been super stressed this year about work and life. A lot more than usual. Looked at some jobs earlier this season and maybe will make a move for next year. Friends are trying to get me to Mammoth but the housing situation seems pretty bleak. Prolly could use a change of scene.

Applied to some southern hem jobs. Hoping the visas are back. Worst case ontario I'll go back to hood and groom at tline but Govy is fucking dark sometimes if you come in not in the best spot. Hopefully feeling better by then but that place can eat your soul.

Still playing music a bunch though. Only thing that feels good at the moment. Hoping health improves, I can sleep a bit more, and the sun in the spring is out a bit so I can skate or just get some sun rays in my life.

Sometimes just existing is fucking exhausting

frozen thin mints are top tier as well. Not frozen they are meh. Rest of their cookies are meh.

Oh so you're not near rose anymore. Had the banhammer ready if you were gonna talk shit about Mt Rose.

Hopefully not too bad on the non snowy traffic days. But those are sometimes the best days if you can get there.

I feel your pain 110%. I used to live in Incline 5 minutes from DP. Now I’m driving an hour on I-70 on a good day. It sucks.

Used to wake up and get to the mountain no matter the mountain condition or my condition lol

My friends were telling me how embarrassing it is to ski with me wearing 10 year old gear and why i should proform new stuff off them since i can afford it and how stupid it is I drive nice BMWs but dont buy new gear.

getting cussed-at and reamed out over the days prior setup crew mistake in front of your partners and all of lift ops was great for the confidence this morning heading into the busiest week of the season. I was working dispatch bro, not even on the hill.

And I knew exactly what they wanted me to do: say "oh that was X or Y who did that" so that they can talk to them one-on-one and say I threw them under the bus. BRO THIS IS ONE OF MY FIRST MEDICAL JOBS EVER AND JUST BECAUSE I HAVE AN EMTB DOESNT MEAN I HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT. Get off my fucking ass.

Leadership is just downright trash in this industry, I'm sorry. Far too many jaded and angry washed-up 40 somethings that feel the need to abuse their workers because they have baggage of their own.

Working full time in the ski industry sounds terrible. Working 15 hours a week for a free pass and because I like using a spork and shaping snow is awesome.

feel the same way my friends said similar things last year
I skied 2013 sights till this year, and they had no edge cracks and were in better shape than my friends honey badgers from 2 years ago
also ski in an 80's type jacket now since someone sent for secret Santa I won't post another picture today, but it matches my moment vices so well so shoutout them

Getting tired of working with lazy people on park crew. I work the job part time for a free pass and do more in 15 hours than the full time dudes do in a week. New guys take zero pride in what the park looks or rides like. Literally nothing gets done unless the manager is around babysitting.

Had brunch with my mom this weekend and she was so excited to talk about this long-time family friend's son who's on team summit. She's excited talking about how he'll be a future olympian, all that jazz and they're focusing so hard on getting him in comps and whatnot.

All of that's not too bad I suppose, and maybe it's jealousy coming thru, but it all sounded like those football moms who think their kid's gonna go pro but in the grand scheme of things they'd be better off focusing on academics or networking in other activities. Kind of bummed me out. The kid's a ripper no doubt I just hope they don't put all their eggs in one basket.
