Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.
I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.
SteezyYeeteri just mean that the people who most often praise free healthcare - far leftists would want me - an average person up until 2015 dead. they probably think i'm a nazi or something.
and yeah i just don't think we should fight wars lol. war should be avoided at all costs.
F Frontier Air . Learned more about how they do business and it’s kinda lucky they haven’t screwed me even more than they have. Basically they know they are going to screw a bunch of customers by the way they do business
What in the world are you taking about? “An average person up until 2015”? You really need to move out of your parents’ house and experience the world.

WoFlowzgreened out last night and fell asleep cuddling some chick and almost missed work this morning. holy shit i’ve felt like ass the entire day. maybe i need a break lol
why am i so bad at sleeping. At least a couple days a week I cant sleep at all. Up till 3am when I have to be up for work at 6. Melatonin doesn't help anymore.
Profahoben_212why am i so bad at sleeping. At least a couple days a week I cant sleep at all. Up till 3am when I have to be up for work at 6. Melatonin doesn't help anymore.
things that ruin my sleep:
-Not enough physical activity that day
-Stress or Anxiety at bedtime
-Consuming simulants after 6pm
-Looking at phone screen in bed
-Room too hot
-Dehydration
-Bad diet
-Day naps

Same. I try my best with all of these but a few are just not possible and it sucks. Job is stressful and its hard to get to the gym after sitting in an office for 9 hours, commute and errands.

I'm in the same boat, weed was the only thing that helped but I had to quit that. The gym almost every day is a big help, as it exhausts my body more, forced me to get a better diet, and helps relieve some of that work stress even if the workout is short.
Tho the biggest thing that helped me was keeping my room hot then when I am ready to sleep I open the window and as the temperature drops, i get sleepy so fast. I've had some success trying to count backward from 100 if my mind is still racing, too. Never get past 70 lmao
Basically, last week I was at work. I stand for long periods of time. My heart rate runs pretty low(55-65 at rest and sometimes even just while standing). I was in the middle of a surgery and just standing around. I checked my Fitbit and it said my HR was 140! This is not good. Generally it’s some type of irregular heart rhythm that can potentially be dangerous. I felt fine in the moment. But 5 minutes later I almost passed out and had to go to the ER. They found nothing wrong with me and think the episode had already passed by the time I arrived.
YALL. Today, I’m standing in the exact same position(leaning against the wall with my hands at my tailbone, kind of cutting off circulation to my hands). I check my Fitbit for a text and see my HR is 190!!! But I feel absolutely fine. Out of curiosity I manually checked my HR and it’s 62. I recreated this scenario like 5 times. When I lean on my hands like that my Fitbit goes wild. My Fitbit is generally quite accurate so during the original event I didn’t think to check it.
Im like 99% sure that when I nearly passed out, I must have seen the 140HR and mildly panicked but tried to ignore it, causing the dizziness. That’s why everything was fine in the ER.
ERs get a bad rep for diagnosing young females with anxiety when they report cardiac issues. I’m here to say I’m very much fall into the anxious young female category and now will be cancelling all these follow up appointments because I’m literally fine. Just anxious as fuck. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t know how you did that because I literally have to tighten my fitbit during a workout because it’s always like “your heartbeat is dropping” lol
MinggY’all I’m the dumbest fucking nurse ever.

Mine is usually pretty good. I never have to adjust the band so it’s pretty consistent. Idk why leaning on my hands makes it go crazy though. But I guess I know for next time 😂😂
although now that I think about it there are times in full out running and panting like a dog and it’s says my pulse is like 85 and I’m like absolutely certain it’s 150+. So maybe I need to not rely on it too much 😂

For three years i managed to avoid the covid. I was down for about 36 hours and feel 75-80% today. Hopefully it clears out before xmas, also lucky we're not traveling or doing anything major for the holidays i guess.
Vehicle wouldn’t start because -21 this morning, no place to plug in where I parked and fuel additive didn’t seem to help. Luckily I’m only three blocks from my work. Fuck these temperatures.
Sick of these storms. Broke records a few weeks ago with one and now we’re supposed to get a “once in a generation” kind of storm this weekend. Why can’t we just get a 6-8 inches every now and then 😂 instead we get 3-6 feet and then it melts. And then another 3 feet. And I’m sure it will melt by the end of the week. Fuck this shit lol
my prof just lost my electric circuits exam and is going to make me write the deferred exam instead. hes a nice dude but he cant teach for shit, so to add this while the homies are celebrating finishing the hardest semester weve ever done just pisses me off.
maaatttSeaTac fucking sucks, next flight I'm going full mega dad mode and showing up four hours early
yeah heard there are like 2hr lines for security today. fuck that. i fly out saturday at 5am, prob just gonna show up at midnight the night before and then knock out at the gate for a bit

Stories like that make me glad I flew out early in the week. Other than a lot people in the baggage claim at arrival it was a super smooth day.

got a red eye out at midnight tomorrow. I fucking hate seatac although I'm in South Seattle so at least its near by.
i work at a coffee shop(cuz it’s only a few minute walk from my school) and usually i only come in to close but today i’m in from 12 to 5 and i realized how little business we get. all i’ve done today is organize cheese and make a few coffees
We already lost one magic carpet for the weekend and need to order a sensor
(which yep! You guessed correctly! Won't be shipped until well after the new year cuz it's the ski area industry and we don't account for maintenance parts.)
I'm experiencing some first-world ski problems rn. Don't bother reading unless you wanna hear some mild family drama.
My family made plans to drive up from Sac to Kirkwood for a week-long ski trip after Christmas. Coming up Monday, going home Sunday. They wanna spend time with me doing an activity that they know I enjoy. I'm grateful for that. I know it's outside of their comfort zone. The weather has other plans.
Mom is a fairweather skier only. She doesn't handle cold/wet conditions well and can't figure out how to use goggles and glasses without them fogging up. I've tried everything and she's too stubborn to get contacts. Bluebird days are the only solution. She sticks to her greens.
Younger siblings have skied maybe 5-10 days max. They're stuck to greens and some blues. NBD, I'm happy to cruise groomers with em.
Dad doesn't ski. He was hoping to do some ice fishing instead.
I figure if there's a bad day or two of weather, that's fine. We'll hang out at the condo and play games and do puzzles and stuff. We'll make the most of the sunny days. Tahoe rarely dumps for more than a day or two at a time, right?
Wrong. Tahoe is on one right now. The forecast is showing another atmospheric river (3rd this month), with multiple storms right behind it. The worst part is it's likely a warm storm, so it'll be a mix of rain/slush/cakey snow. I'm expecting lift closures, road closures, soaked everything, the whole deal. I don't mind skiing in these conditions, but my fam will be miserable. It doesn't appear to let up at any time during the trip. I don't think they'll even be able to drive their minivan home on Sunday with the hwy 88 road conditions.
All I can imagine is a week of misery. Maybe a day or two of soaking-wet skiing and lots of complaining. I'm trying to convince my mom this is a bad idea and they should cancel while they still can. The Christmas storm in Tahoe was a shitshow last year and it'll be no different this year. Sunk cost isn't an excuse to keep the trip because the company my dad works for owns the condo they're staying at. It's an employee perk that he gets for free. Just cancel the condo reservation and just save the epic day passes for a weekend later this season when the weather cooperates. Northstar is closer anyways and a better hill for their skill levels.
Now she's all sad that I want to cancel our trip because she "never gets to see me anymore. I just want a family trip where we can all be together" blah blah blah. Like chill, I'm coming down for Christmas already. Don't be dramatic. I see you guys all the time. You guys literally won't be able to do anything on this "vacation" because the weather is too bad.
TLDR - Snow getting in the way of a family ski trip. Mom's feelings get hurt when I recommend canceling. I hate Christmas family drama.

Oof that's ass. Especially going into the big holiday week.

i have this saved from thanksgiving but pretty relevant to every holiday
I haven't been back east for the holidays since 2016. That was kinda a fluke cause I was supposed to be out west but my car was a work in progress in PA.
But hearing how not fun the holiday travels are make me not want to send it. Also would be flying seatac as well. Idk i like traveling, i hate traveling, and flying on the holidays seems brutal. Hope things work out and you have time to de stress with a beer.
i havent skied in two years due to back pain from skiing injuries. and im stuck in ski city usa, home of the greatest concentration of elitist nazi skiers in america.

Apparently there was a minor security breach today that closed all checkpoints for 15 minutes. Think I dodged that one by 40 minutes or so
Kinda pissed off at my roommate rn because he parked in the garage for this cold spell (-43 this morning) then isn't even driving anywhere meanwhile I made two other people late for work by not being able to drive/pick one up now I can't go get Christmas gifts either.
My transmission, clutch, and brakes all are frosty. The engine starts, but when I release the clutch it can't hang. The clutch pedal moves slow as mud and the brake pedal doesn't even move. My shifter feels like pushing the fork through gelatin. Does anybody know any tips for me to get things warmed up?
