I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Anxiety situation is starting to get fun. Been decently anxious a bunch the last 2 months. The spikes when things get rowdy are not super chill. Trying to calm down. Hopefully can crash at my buddies house. Maybe play my guitar a bit and have some beers to calm down.

Try some breathing exercises. It works for me at least because I feel similar. It'll help slow your heart rate down too.

Day 118 of 11hour days, straight of work and got 12-13 days more to go. I havent missed a day at work this season, nor am I allowed to miss a single day. Fuck work, fuck money and fuck everything.
I hate waking up every morning feeling more tired than the previous day, dreading what today brings. Every day feels longer than the last and seems like it will never end. Its cold, dark and miserable. This is the first week in a couple month I had access to a cellular signal.
I quit smoking cigs this month and its so much worse than I thought. Got patches, mouthspray and lozanges to deal with the cravings, but it doesnt do shit for the depression. Now Im running low and all I wanna do is drink until Im fucked up and smoke weed until I too scared to leave my room.
Upper management of the company can take a broomstick up their ass. They get hired, then immediately dump all their work onto the next guy down, then bitch about how much better it was in their home country. They invent work for you, then never take the time to review it and take credit for all your work. They see bonuses every month as ours just got cut. After 4 months, they leave the company so another dunce can do the same.
Nobody remembered my birthday this year, not even family. But family keeps bitching at me for not caring about their aniversaries, kids birthdays and all the other days that make them feel special. I hope by not talking to them for a couple years, they will forget I even exist.

Fuck my life, fuck work, fuck money. I just wanna ski and vanish in a self centered hedonistic paradise.

For the last 4 years, the company could not find a relief for me, so Im forced to work June to November without a single day off. It was tougher this year because of manditory refresher courses. Been gone from home since April, stayed at my parents for schooling (while still paying rent) and had to fork out 2,300$ so I can keep my license for work.
Being around my parents is hell; even after not seeing me for 5 years, they didnt say a word to me on the hour long drive from the airport. No conversation or nothing.
I have 9-10 more days to go, no one is answering texts of emails… its like Im dead… but at least people reminisce about the dead.

Damn that's shitty dude. Def nothing like working hard grinding without time off to make things more fucked. Hope you get some time off in the winter.

Also sucks having a shitty relationship with parents. I talked to mine sometimes and would stay for a few days when visiting but we don't talk about anything just hows the weather. But i just had some shit go down this summer and it didn't seem like they even cared. I mean i don't like my parents much at this point but it was more that it hurt that they didn't seem to give a fuck. Like cool.

Hopefully you have some friends around you that you can link up with. It's def hard with working all the time and if you moved around a bunch too keeping up with friends and def meeting new ones.

Hopefully can get a better balance at work or find a company that can give you more time off. Def hard to keep sane working too much. I work graves all winter. Last year I was the only guy for a bunch of shit. Was fine, but 80 hour weeks in a row grave shift didnt help anything. I was pretty much a zombie with a fragile mental state. I actually notice the difference when I work leas hours and also the difference when I switch to swing shift in the spring.

Hoping car fixes alright today. Been a struggle.
Ankle is starting to hurt, hoping its not getting worse now.

I'll feel less stressed when I get back to work, start making some $$. Hoping ankle heals up alright. A month and a half in.

Idk i can get down and freakout/implode internally sometimes for no reason. High stress and things fucking out is a catalyst for bad times. Trying to hang in there and get through the bullshit and make it to better times.

My life is kind of ping ponging between highs snd lows, and the lows get pretty dark fast sometimes.

I think settling into a place to live will help. Also the stability of that and work. Trying to take things one step at a time and hang in there.

I appreciate that my parents are trying to help me with decorating my house but I'd like to be in my style and not theirs, think clean Scandinavian design vs farmstyle. It clashes too hard and is already starting to stress me out. Everything I like is met with disgust and everything they like I've explicitly told them is not my style and is a waste of money. If they're offering to pay for things I;d like it to be things I want to look at ya know?

Man I’m sorry to hear that. That sounds rough. I know what it’s like not speaking to any of your family for years at a time. I hope you guys can find a way to reconnect cuz it’s like the most depressing thing being alienated from literally everyone. And when you’ve got nobody else to fall back on. It gets pretty dark.

I hope things get better once you’re done work and get back to skiing.

Man you need a change of pace and some time to recharge your batteries. Life is too short to be that miserable at work you gotta take the power back and start setting some boundaries or just go work somewhere normal. The economy is out of whack literally everyone is desperate for candidates. You might find your outlook on things with your family improves also when you can fill your own cup and give from your overflow. When your cup is empty every request feels like a an unreasonable burden. Be well.

Facebook groups might be the most annoying things ever. Joined a group specifically for the bike I have just to see if any usefully info ever comes up and holy shit if one more person asks what tires they should put on their bike I might have to slap someone. Literally every other day someone asks and it's always the same circle jerk for the same tires. Learned 2 useful things in the 4 months of being in the group.

Poor kid got his scooter stolen today at work. Checked the cameras and watched this shithead kid grab not only his own scooter but this kids scooter as well with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face and walked out. Bummer. Been there before. I had skis stolen from me when I was taking laps before work one day and that was the saddest walk of shame I've ever had.

I've had bikes stolen twice from me. Its a crappy feeling. I hope I never have skis stolen because that would just hurt my soul.

First stolen bike was I had just moved to college town and it was a couple weeks before school started. I put my bike in the rack to just go inside to drop off some paperwork for a couple minutes. During that quick moment it was taken. I hope whoever took it crashed because the wheel was messed up on it and I realized I forgot to tighten the nuts on the front wheel.

Second stolen bike was from my own driveway. I locked my bike to the deck post. Well since the place I rented was on the corner, kids would walk through the driveway as a shortcut to get to the bus stop. One day after work I just plain forgot to lock it and the next morning it was gone.

Oh man the wallet is the worst because you gotta deal with having to cancel those cards and then get replacement.

Drivers licenses are such a pain because the DMV is only open while you're at work.
My license had to be renewed this year in January. So on December 23 last year I went in and did the renewal. 3 months later It still never showed up. I go back and they extended my temporary paper license and said my new one was mailed on December 28. It must have gotten lost somehow. The replacement arrived within 2 weeks. 🙄

Still trying to get used to friends dying. I get that it's a thing, and picks up as time goes on, but it still doesn't make sense.

The last 2 and a half years I've had a lot more friends go.

I'm not good at dealing with things, I don't know how to deal with shit properly. There's a lot of shit I still haven't dealt with when my roommate died. I feel like I've made peace with things as best I can but I feel like good friends keep dying right now.

Idk what I'm trying ro say. Kinda of at a loss trying to figure shit out so Ill shut up.

Lou's performance center is supposed to be legit. Fresh and ski cellar aren't good for bootfitting in my experience.

yea lou was super good but he is retiring and the shop shutting down. i got some insight from him but he couldn’t sell me anything as he was pretty much packed up and leaving that day. too bad though hate to see a really good shop like that closing.
