r00kieI hate when accidents happen. Everytime someone I care about gets hurt I find myself having a crisis about my own risk exposure and how my tolerance is probably too high.
Can relate. Its a tough pill to swallow sometimes. It took me a long while to get over my best friends accident on his dirt bike. It was really hard seeing him intubated in the ICU, but his recovery and rehab has been incredible to see, and he's back to doing the same shit we used to do together, so there's that. Stay positive and try to help when you can. It's hard to do.
But yes, in terms of risk assessment, it does make you take a step back and think about what you do. But it also puts you into a different perspective of how to manage it and how to make it home safe, if that makes sense.
