Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

im so sick of school soccer. i did it cause my parents forced me too when i wanted to row. i used to like playing pick up but being forced to play for the school and compete just sucks. Especially when all i wanna do is mess around and kick a ball and have fun with friends. Some of these kids and coaches take this highschool shit to seriously and it sucks the life outta it. We aren’t winning states prolly not gonna win sectionals either yet alone our league even tho we are top three. I really wanna quit and just hand in my jerseys and shit come monday but my parents would prolly be heated if they found out and so would my grandparents. Even playing soccer doesn’t make them happy cause it’s not up too their standard or what ever. tbh nothing would. i’m spending another weekend of mine (three in a row) traveling for my little sisters soccer so my parents can live through here since they never made the olympic or national team.

Just cannot stand how every god damn thing is about her and her soccer. Couldn’t crew because it’s to big of a commitment for 4 trainings a week, but 8 practices a week and 2-4 games for her isn’t. Driving to Nashville for her to play two games on my birthday isn’t to big of a commitment but me having 2 regattas in the whole szn being in Buffalo is to big of a commitment for them. Not too mention they pay roughly 10k a year in club fees, league fees, travel, lodging, gas, excess trainings etc and it’s just fine but me wanting to FUCKIN ROW FOR 500$ EVERYTHING INCLUDED IS UNREASONABLE. Cannot stand the blatant favoritism of theirs. No matter what tf i do it’s never enough to please them. 95-98 in every class rn even my college level classes and they’re concerned about my grades slipping. THIS ISNT FUCKIN SYLLABUS WEEK.

One of these days im just going to loose it and be done with them. Hopefully it isn’t on someone else after my parents tick me off

mega rant !!! reminds me of this time I had to quit the school team senior year with a bunch of my team because we found out we weren’t going to get much playing time because of this plan to have a building year or some bs . which didn’t work btw they didn’t win a championship then or the following years. instead of all of us seniors starting, and we were really the stronger better players, they chose to start players that were all from this same club team because there was this volunteer coach that was also involved with the club team. we quit en mass and played another season of indoor and many minutes were spent in the penalty box. the school JV coach volunteered to coach our indoor team and got us some matching shirts left over from a cheerleading camp which we loved because we were looking for anyone to try to pick a fight with us hick farmers lol. I remember angry dads climbing up the cage and swearing at us those were the days. But I digress, that same volunteer coach guy is now randomly running for mayor of my town. I don’t normally do political signs but I am getting a sign for the other guy

That sucks susw. HS is the time people fall away from sports. I quit soccer in HS. I played since i was a little lid but I just didnt care about it, and the time commitment. I had built a mini ramp and wanted to ride my bike or play music with my friends. Soccer is fun, but I never regretted quiting.

As far as parents thats tough. Some parents don't care, some parents get over things and some parents can be weird about it.

I far as sisters. Mine was 2 years older. Parents went to every game ahe had everywhere. Dragged me to most of them. I didn't play many sports my 2nds year but my senior year I did cross country and diving. Cross country would be boring to watch but I found out we had a diving team and that shit was fun. Only meet my parents came to they got their late and didn't even see me dive. Then when it came down to awards my parents forced me to go so they could cheer for me being on varsity or whatever.

Idk parents are weird. Def sucks if it seems like or your parents do care for 1 sibling more than the others.

Hopefully it works out whether you quit or stay on the team. Def had friends who did a lot because of there parents but it's also nice to do your own thing and have your own hobbies. If soccer isn't it hopefully you can get out or just not join next seasin

Sunburnt my face today. I did such a good job of wearing sunscreen and hats and my sun hoodie all summer. My skin was so good this year.

I wasn’t thinking today. All it took was an hour and now I look like a tomato raccoon. You can see the outline of my sunglasses around my eyes. Ugh

Sooo we live in a temperate rainforest and it is incredibly unusual that we haven’t had a single day of rain all of September. And no rain forecasted for next week either.

Temps should be around 10-14*C but they are hovering at 24-29*C.

This is wack. I thought summer was supposed to be over 3 weeks ago but it’s literally never ending 😭 wtffff

God damn why have I not bought self rescue gear yet. I have gotten stuck while driving by myself three times now and had to wait for someone to help. My truck is currently up in the mountains with it's rear diff sitting on a rock near the top of a muddy hill climb. I'm literally that guy rn. Fuck me

Rage Against The Machine kust canceled the rest of their dates. Sucks, I've had tickets for almost 3 years to Tacoma. Kept em cause wanted to catch them on this tour in case it's the last. Also had good seats. When shoes would postpone had the option to keep tickets or get refunded. Kept em all this time now it's canceled. Sucks too because Tacoma was this spring. Plenty of time to wait and see if they could make it work. Oh well.

I guess at least I'll get my refund.

So this kid that I don't talk to much anymore because he is a complete virgin retard that has no other friends told me to go to homeroom in the library. I don't know what he would talk about but probably building a "huugge" jump at the local park here and do a pencil 360 off it this season. The only reason I wanted to go is to stop him from buying bent chetlers cuz he's ass at skiing and doesn't deserve them (his momma and daddy buy his skis). Now I get to the fucking Library and this sped is sitting with someone he doesn't know talking about fucking Spanish and shit like WTF why FUCKING tell me to go to the library and not even sit together dumbass.

I should beat tf outta him for wasting my time (you can't leave after you go to the library) I'll prolly truck his ass into a wall

I need to review my lease contract and reach out to my property management company. It is fucking bullshit the amount of upkeep this house needs that the current owners/company neglected to do and threw onto us current tenants without any sort of rent discount. Bullshit.

Same here. They promised a continuation of care contract with my doctor that was supposed to be enacted Aug. 1st and its now October and I'm still paying $80 copays instead of $10.

All you people on NS under 26 better take advantage of your parents policies. Insurance runarounds are the like first real "Oh shit I'm an adult" moment.

Getting access to care isn't awful and my premiums aren't terrible, but its the whole medication runaround that bugs me. I can be given bottles upon bottles of my anti-anxiety meds but can't ever get my ADHD meds figured out. I think it's because they're one of the most prescribed medications in the state of Utah and are heavily controlled. It sucks. I've been told my numerous pharmacies at grocery stores that they aren't allowed to carry certain drugs.

And also yeah, if you guys want to talk healthcare, Anywhere but Utah lol. Between U of U health, Intermountain, Mountain View, etc. all are pretty shitty hospital/care providers. Thats in no way meant to disrespect that actual boots-on-the ground people working with patients, I mean the people above them who clearly put profits over caring for people and their staff.

System is so fucked. Sucks to deal with. Sucks dealing with insurance, sucks to not have insurance it's all fucked.

On the topic I went to an urgent care near seatac to see how my leg was looking agter the flights back to America. Got nothing useful and referred to the er and a wound care clinic. Bill 230. Hope the place burns down. I hate urgent care places. This one was particularly shit. Did nothing for me, ignored me mostly. Gave me a prescription 15 min away when i ubered rhere and was on crutches(specifically asked for closest pharmacy) walk out after, nobody to give me the bull bevause they left early. Sweet. Go outside, cvs fucking next door. I jist never went and got the prescription, said fuck this, and drove 10 hours to tahoe because somehow my health insurance renewed here.

Idk. There are people thay sit in offices and call each other about who has what and gets what, then they fuck it up and you have to call and maybe eventually straighten it out. It's such. Shitshow.

I had a workers comp, where i also had good insurance get botched 10 years ago. Dude fucked up a bunch of claims and then resigned. I was getting collection calls off and on for 2.5 years. People who talk about how great our healthcare system is need to be slapped.

I fucking hate iur healthcare system so bad. It's shot. And dumb people that have never left their state, rarelt leave there town, will tell you about how much better it is than countries they couldn't find on a map, and vote to keep it garbage because something something an illegal might get healthcare.

Just had another appointment about my leg. On the plus it's looking a lot better and healing. On the downside we're talking 3 months to fully heal apparently and that's "optimistic".

I get it healing takes time. Happy that its getting better, stoked to have 2 legs and not be deas or anything. But def bummed that I'm likely going to miss a huge part of the ski season.

Hoping I can figure out a sollution/be healed up enough to boot up and jump in the cat and build at the start of the season.

I mean obviously thought this would impact when my season would start, just a bummer to find out I might miss a large portion.

Bruh I knowwww. I had to get 3 X rays and an MRI before getting knee surgery- which granted, is totally standard. But mf insurance took forever to get it set up and I had to wait over a month from tearing my ACL to actually getting surgery.

couple weeks ago I got a call from a debt collector and they were like “yo you got an X ray from Alpine Orthopedics last December?” And I had to tell em that I had insurance and they weren’t getting any bread until they brought it up with Alpine Ortho. So either Alpine ortho tried to charge me for an X ray when insurance would have covered it, or my insurance took so long to pay for it that Alpine sent the charge to a debt collector. Either way it’s like wtf?

I hate insurance providers and I hate alpine Orthopedics.

Ive spent my life being lean and healthy, why should I have some sweaty, stinky fat slob sweating all over me just bc they don’t have the self control to stop shoveling food into their obese fuckin faces? kind of frustrating how i can try to list a pair of skis on marketplace or craigslist for less than "homie" pricing all summer long, get barely any clicks and no bids, then just bring it to a local ski swap for 100-200$ more and its gone in hours. Its great it sold but it'd be nice not to be bound to that only option most of the time

i hate electric vehicle snobs. I spend over an hour/week charging our EV so i gravitate to reddit EV sub while i charge. Not that i wouldnt be sittin on my phone if at home anyways but just sucks having to block off an hour/week to charge. These people…

But yea, i guess having the range to be able to drive to mountains and back regardless of speed, tires, temperature, use of heat…. Is overrated. Not an issue in EV world no sir

Idk if they are still doing it , but powder7 was giving store credit towards whatever. I got $510 for a 2018stormrider that I was asking 2-300 for on here, you buy ski for say 500, they ship and send you box, you put old skis in box, they credit your bank, works I guess if you need new skis, if your just trying to get cash then they are worthless

This one group tonight during our closing sweeps was the biggest group of kooks I've seen yet. We're talking this like 30-something year old ringleader riding around with kids 15 years younger than him and being a fucking twat. Guy's weren't leaving even after we told them last laps so they booked it down to our lower jumpline where my partner was and had to give him an earful for some reason. All like "ooooooooo Ive been riding for X amount of years and have been to this place and that place and they would NEVER do this" like what? Closing sweeps? We're you fucking born yesterday? Every single bike park/resort does sweeps. To make sure you're dumbass isn't off in the woods incapacitated and bleeding-out.

Apparently this dude is a regular and a total asshole in the bike community around here. I forgot his name though. Oh well.

EVs are stupid and a scam. The pollution from how heavy they are and the rubber from your tires going into the air is worse than CO2 on a gas engine.

Its just a woke circle jerk you should know this same thing as BLM race baiting and covid/vaccine hysteria.

Keep being part of the problem and one of these people though. Isn't it time to watch Hamilton or a drag show and tell us how good it was?

I still have one of those. A Timex Expedition thats about 22 years old. The alarm goes off at 6am. The indiglo background doesn't work anymore so the battery is probably dying. Its in my travel bag thats in the bathroom in the cabinet so I only hear it if its dead quiet in the house.

Got pretty screwed by flag football refs today. I'm usually fairly calm and level headed on the field but this was next level dumb. Our opposition was nice enough but they kept holding us when they were pulling flags instead of going for flag pulls. One of our guys who's maybe 140 lbs, quick and hard to pull flags from got bear hugged around the waist with no call. Our best girl kept getting pushed down and contacted physically by one of their defenders when she was trying to make catches, and also no calls.


Then we reached a pretty crucial moment of the game late in the second half and the opposition went to substitute. They snap the ball with their sub 10 yards in our defense. The play continues and their guy catches the ball, runs 30 yards nearly to midfield before we pull his flags and point back saying, your guy was way offsides for that snap, and then he laughs and says, yeah and starts running back. Ref comes and starts running the line of scrimmage up to where we pulled the guys flags and we all say, they had a player 10 yards in our defense when they snapped the ball, should be a penalty and loss of yardage. He then says, 'I call the penalties here and I didn't see it.' At that point I realized there was no point in arguing anymore. We ended up losing because we couldn't score on our last drive and im still miffed about it. I hate losing, and we got fucking screwed.
