Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Shit got kinda gnar again. Wound popped open. Medic friend says to clean it out and fly home. But def a litlle sketched to scub it out but doing it.

Got er scrubbed out propper cleaned up and wrapped back up. At the airport about to fly out.

Also apparently you're vip af if you get hurt. I got to the airport just after 9. Got a wheelchair, my ticket, checked a bag, got through passport control, security, and to my gate by 925. Not friggin bad.

Hope the flights go ok. Gonna have to clean the wound in Tokyo. And then off to Seattle eventually.

Fuck whatever piece of shit in a lifted shitbox duramax that was trying to literally kill people going down Parleys Canyon tonight. Guy was having beef with this one driver and almost killed most of us. Someones having a bad day or is just a fucking pyscho.

I kinda get road rage though sometimes so bear with me on this. It does piss us off anytime someone say cuts us off in traffic but thats heat of the moment thinking driven off of survival and anxiety. Its not acceptable though because you like feel that fire inside of your chest of like "MAN FUCK YOU" but you really have to just back off and more importantly nothing good will ever come out of that situation.

Wish people would talk to me about shit other than football it gets really old after a while and I sub consciously tune people out when they talk about football since I have to hear it at practice and school for 12 hours a day. Made it back to America. Foot not looking good. Was gonna tey and get to CA if it was bad but might have to get it checked out here. If the wound didnt reopen was gonna hang out with lari and oregondead while healing but yeah. Idk.

Shits kinda fucked. Back in America now though.

Ummm it terrifies me sometimes the logic and thinking behind upper management. The idea was suggested to us that we should start "timing" our Lift Evac trainings as a way to see how we can improve which is a good idea on paper but just going for efficiency isn't the goal. Safety and efficiency is and rushing the process will get someone hurt. That got shut down thank god.

They also want us to put these RFID tracking devices in our uniforms as a way to track employee uniforms. First questions that were brought up was "Do they interfere with Beacon signals or SAR calls?" and they didn't really have much of an answer apparently. They're just trying to Guinea pig this situation and that is also fucking scary. I don't want any interference at all if a skier or my partners are fucking buried. Nah. Fuck that from all ways.

So i had to go through my texts tryna figure out my friends orders. kept asking me if i was done yet not in like a nice way like in a repetitive rushing way. Then she made two of the drinks and a different barista came out with the other and called colin. the name on my card for the app. same order number as mine on the app. scammin ass prolly double charged me, and took the drinks. god i hate starbucks. there’s a reason i almost always go too spot.

tipping at restaurants, bars etc where people actually have to do real work for you, deserve tips imo. even baristas especially local ones do. i prolly woulda tipped if she wasn’t rude. also all she had to do was fill up 3 ice coffees and put a syrup in two. it’s not like it was a blender drink or espresso

Yeah was gonna go hang in oregon while healing. If I go to CA it's because I might go check some stuff out at the ER. Not a vacation. Just have health insurance there still. The medical system in America is a party to deal with.

Driving to CA now because I prolly need to get some shit done at the ER. They referred me to a wound clinic here but it doesnt open till tomorrow anyway so might as well drive to where i have insurance.

At least swelling is down. Swelled up pretty fat on the flight. Also flights weren't super fun. But nice to be back outside of health care system logistics.

Being a pothead right when covid started was an interesting experience. I used to rip tons of dabs all day and it gave me a pretty constant cough. Anytime I would go out in public after smoking and cough, it was like 100 heads would turn and look at me at the same time
