Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

WoFlowzim not the only one on my team throwing up like that or mad dehydrated, and i came in fit to pre szn some kids were like collapsing after some of our sprintervals. already had a kid break his foot. imo were more than over training but it’s cause we need 10 practices before our first game next wednesday


This is why I was the goalie. Always had an excuse to be the slowest on the team. But still dont miss those two a days in the summer heat and all that running

as much as i hate electrolyte mixes and drinks i’ve been downing them and like only eating protein and carbs. feeling a bit better today than yesterday. only got two more days of this tho. then games next week

sad to hear my band mate passed away over the weekend. we didn't always see eye to eye but I we played together for years and I am going to miss that guy. last concert he played was the 4th of July and he was looking pretty weak, at that point he said he just had a couple of negative covid tests and didn't know what was wrong. we found out just a couple weeks ago he had cancer.
I'll set up his chair for him at our concert tomorrow and we'll keep the music going

For sure. I just love how casual and half assed the plans were. Like when you decide to go somewhere randomly snd then fond out it's closed and you're like "oh word. Guess ill go somewhere else".

The one place they were going to put a bunch of trailer spots and units turns out to be a significant amount of wetlands they cant build on. If they surveyed it properly and trued to get permits and stuff a long time ago they would have known that.

They're renting a summer camp between the mtn and that town and housing people there. Wasn't really made for year round and a lot of the infrastructure is fucked.

The water has been fucked, theyre on a boil water. Theyve had seqage issues. They've had the heaters go and had to replace those. There isn't cell service and barely usable wifi which may be worse with all the people.

Also place decided they aren't going to sell. So were putting all our eggs in this basket that someday they sell which it sounds like they wont.

Getting some new housing at the mtn above the water treatment would be sweet but it sounds just like "idk maybe we'll do something over there" kinda thing where noone has looked into anything and there's not even a basic plan.

We had to upgrade or get rid of our employee housing next year because of septic. Would have been spendy to run lines and pump it to the water treatment. Also a few buildings were pretty run down.

But even if we weren't going to do that we could have left them till next year. Im that time making some real plans, getting real permits, and starting to work on these spots.

Housing is such an issue everywhere. It was before airbnb as an investment property blew up in every town. Now it's just fucked.

I don't understand how places can half ass this issue so much. Idk


I mean yeah, Crystal would have blown up in the 90s if people didn’t look at it and go yeah it’s in BFE too much hassle. Now you got a new era of investment types trying to flip it because 300,000 people moved to Washington in the last 20 minutes and all these cocksuckers went and bought tech set ups at REI and now think they are shit because they have 2k to drop on a pass to ski there. It’s already just a country club for skiing without the title yet. Fuck Crystal maybe they should convert the lower lifts into a golf course and enforce a dress code.

Minor rant about girls (ok my wife) with bangs. Back when she talked about cutting bangs, I told her I’d really rather she not, even my friend was there who agreed like pixie cuts, the only ones who like bangs are the girls, not guys. But she did and now she has to get them trimmed every few weeks. This turns into a huge PITA for me because that’s just more nights I can’t do anything because she needs a haircut.,, for a style i dont care for. At least she lost a ton of weight so they dont look as bad now but still.

tonight, she’s having a work party for an old co-worker (who’s actually very young now we have a fridge full of mikes hard lemonade and smirnoff ice lol) well in addition to me taking care of the kids all day while also trying to keep the house clean while also making the bbq, after my wife’s work instead of helping get the house ready for the party, guess what she’s going to get her bangs trimmed. Fuck this. I’m really thinking about putting my foot down and telling her this is the last bang trim she gets. Its like shes trying to max piss me off

Every girl ive known with bangs trims them herself. Its really easy and takes like 5 minutes or less. Looks the same.

Even if she is going to a salon to get them trimmed how is it taking so long? Its an in-and-out cut and should only take the stylist a few minutes.

Yeah, everyone is different but when my wife was like "I think I want bangs" she disappeared into the bathroom for five minutes and came back out with bangs.

Mine was always a free 15 min touch up whenever i needed them trimmed so I went tot he salon.

Yeah I found an old SEC filing from 1996 right before they sold to Boyne where they mention the cost of a season pass being 650 bucks. Just straight adjusting for inflation that’s 1200 something bucks in 2022 dollars. And you figure they bought a gondola, a lodge, handful of lifts, snowmaking infrastructure etc etc etc since then. It was always too expensive to buy a pass there and no night skiing it just always made sense to get a pass to Snoqualmie and grab a handful of weekends at Crystal, Stevens, White Pass, Baker. But that was before everyone got the bright idea to charge insane money for a day pass to push everyone to become a pass holder and pay their money up front. It just sucks because hoards of people shell out the dough so it’s not only a huge ripoff but it’s more packed than ever you have to book a parking spot in advance to get away from it all in the mountains? Gross.

if you’re asking a question after class that takes longer than a few minutes to answer then save it for office hours. Like I had to ask professor a simple question: “would it be better for me to look into the historical or social aspect of my research topic?”. Mf in front of me is asking about damn near the entire paper (it’s only week 2!) and then starts off on some tangent about mushrooms. I had a class right after that was attendance based (circuit training) and was just hoping to sneak a quick question in after class. This mf had me standing there while the next class started pouring in just so I could ask my 30 second question.

Just wish people out here had better social awareness, it’s like when you’ve got a whole cart of groceries at the checkout but you see the kid behind you has 2 items so you let em ahead of you- I don’t even think it’s that crazy, just common politeness. Mf made me late to my next class so he could talk about mushrooms, like bruh you’re holding up the entire gd line- I wasn’t even the last person who needed to ask a question.


Anyway, he’s a history major and he wears flip flops to class with no socks so go figure. Rant over.

tbf excel is probably the most useful thing to learn for a ton of jobs. get good at it now and you'll be killing it in the workforce

There are so many daily tasks that it can be used for even by people that work in trades or other jobs where you are in the field. Makes it so you don't need to spend 8 hours a day at a computer once forms are set up properly

If you need a place to start, use it for budgeting your personal life. Using pivot tables so that you can just download your transactions from your bank account and paste it into a sheet and have it automatically sort into categories is super nice.

New job on-boarding process not off to a good start seeing as I've reached out 3 times almost to find out where in the FUCK my onboarding paperwork is only to be told "It'll be sent out on X or Y date". Tell me I have the fucking job or don't so I can go fuck off and find something mindless to work until the winter so I can coach if I need to fall back on that.

Did you check to see if gratuity was included in the check?

That is often the case with large parties at restaurants
