Don’t look at it like her yelling was the straw that broke the camels back, she is the straw, and she is very deserving of what’s coming. If she was a part of my staff, or family, I’d be very disappointed, but laziness disgusts me. and that profession is not one befitting of lazy and irresponsible people, it’s best suited for attentive, caring, loving, competent people like yourself, eliminating someone like her could potentially be saving another from something she would ignore, don’t forget it’s lucky your there to mop up after her, this situation may not have been dire, but there’s no need to wait for one.
I say can her ass. McDs has a job more suited for her .
MinggI wrote up my nurses aide yesterday. She ignored call lights throughout the day while sitting in the hallway. Failed to inform me that a patients blood pressure was 86/46 which is quite low. She went on break without telling me when I was in the middle of a med pass(this is a huge safety issue. Some facilities don’t allow for ANY disruption to med passes to prevent medication errors). I was answering call lights as I went but there were still lights going off. She came back from break and yelled at me in the hallway which was hostile in HR terms and very inappropriate. I ended up getting done with work at 8:30(scheduled until 7) which is also a safety issue that I could get in trouble for.
Anyways I was heated in the moment while submitting the occurrence report and now I feel like an ass. Even though I shouldn’t. It shouldn’t be pulling teeth to get someone to do the minimum of their job. But I am dreading Monday when I have to sit down with my manager about this. Nothing she did was horrible. But the yelling in the hallway is the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. She’s always so fucking lazy.
