Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Shipping companies are really taken advantage of high gas costs too. Got hit with a surprise $100 shipping for two paddles ordered in. They never even left the state.

r00kieThe last few days there has been a very noticeable decline in the quality of the tap water in town. Same problem at my house, next door, and the office. Have also had painful poops for two days and can't help but think it's related.


I am by no means an expert in water distribution systems but I do know that sometimes they have to add chlorine into certain zones on top of what they add to the baseline supply because it breaks down for whatever reason. Chemistry or something. Also if there was a water main break and it didn’t get flushed properly if the main is fully of shitty water it would take a long ass time for individual service lines to flush out all that badness. Additionally if someone opened a fire hydrant within a few blocks of you recently having that abnormal rush of water to clear out the mains can stir up sediment in the pipes and make everyone’s water brown. Probably a coincidence that you’re sick but who knows.

So glad I live in a hood with a few wells, 850 ft + deep. Are water is so pure, they do not use any chlorine at all. A few times in 23 yeas, they have had to because of a problem. Water is tested on a regular basis, so that's good.

I had a 26 y/o patient today. History of cerebral palsy and autism. Poor guy is nonverbal, immobile, unable to eat/drink, given up to foster care after birth when given poor prognosis. He's lived in a group home his whole life. Zero quality of life. There's no way for us to know if he's mentally there or not.

I'm the biggest pro choice supporter but the comments my coworkers made today where too fucking much. "*insert name here* is the reason women need the right to have an abortion,' WOW. Ok. Then making statements like he would have been better off aborted than this. That's fucking brutal. I would never say that about a human being. Again, all for women's rights but don't use an unfortunate story to support the cause. He's got limited function, that we can see, but that doesn't make him worth any less.

i would understand it more if that was the case but i graduated hs with a 90 overall and got a sick job building trails starting up rn, i am just not sure exactly what i wanna take/do for the rest of my life and would much rather just let that take care of itself

Don't take it personally they just have nothing else to talk about.

It sucks for young people having to give olds a play by play on their plans though when making small talk. The only way to avoid it if its relatives and other old folk you know is to be a real fucking scumbag trust me that shit gets nipped in the bud when they know you just got out of jail they don't ask all the usual questions.

Its better when you are older and established and do something cool and can shut them the fuck up but again its not like you care at all about their shit.

The imagery of the American has largely been hijacked by the political right at this point. It's kind of sad that when you see a flag flying outside someone's house you can make a pretty accurate prediction about their political affiliations.

I work at a place where we ship all of our product to our customers. No storefront and no customer pickups. Not only are the shipping providers gouging the absolute fuck out of us, but the shipping speeds have massively deteriorated as well. For example, shipping something from us (Ohio) to California has been taking about 8-9 days lately. In the past it was about 4-5. I cringe everytime we get an order from the west coast because I know we're going to get gouged for it, and that it will take forever.

That sucks, I recommend side cuts for zip ties etc , you’d be amazed how often you’ll use them if you keep them handy, tin snips aight too
