Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Just to chime in to Snapchat hate. I use it everyday to talk to my gf. I don't have service at my work so I can't send texts/call really....and I don't have an iPhone so no iMessage. Could probably use a different app but snaps easy to use

It's the kind of thing where if you reversed the roles and men were somehow the ones being forced to carry fetuses to term at risk to their own health and well being, you can be damn sure abortion would have been made more than legal a long time ago, and yet it seems so many people seem to lack the empathy for anyone else in that scenario. If this was actually about the lives of children, these same people would adopt, help fund homes for orphans and abandoned children, give them education and future, but nah, this is really more about trying to get the U.S. back to ye olde 1950s america, where everyone was happy like this family.

AHHHH this upcoming school year I was gonna apply too a college program for my senior year that gets me 4 college credits and 4 highschool credits. It’s a zoology and wildlife conservation program at the local zoo. I was really counting on taking Environmental sciences to help me get into it and micro biology. Since I’ve taken bio already. But the only way to take Environmental sciences without taking chem first was AP and my school is no longer offering the ap program. So I’m gonna take chem and micro bio but it’s fuckin annoying cause I suck at math, and u kinda need that for chem.

Honestly, I understand the math in Chem better than when it’s just presented as math. Make sure you use your resources and you’ll be fine.

The math in chemistry, geometry, any applied math was always way easier for me than algebra trig, etc.

2 things...the unarmed security looking dudes are targets
Second thing....the guard I'm talking to says "I shouldn't say anything but the real guys are in the parking lot and come in behind the shooter"

Please explain how you not believing in God erases his existence. There are people who in their heads believe the earth is flat. That does not make it so.

I think the fact people refer to God as Him/He is very telling. Notice how polytheist religions have had gods of multiple genders?

Polytheism makes no rational sense. There can only be 1 all powerful God. Polytheism was made up to explain natural phenomena. As for God's gender; it is how he has chosen to relate himself to us. As he is not human though it is not the same as us.

This is pretty out of context. I am agnostic and theism is a very interesting topic. I feel like there's some merit to most major religions, especially in some core values about how to treat each other, but also there's a ton to criticize about religions. Religion is a man made thing as evident by the many different forms of it, and man made things have flaws. I believe Christianity is very rooted in patriarchal societies and it's a very important topic. There are many parallels between the religious beliefs of certain groups and their actions/wishes outside of religion. That's what I was commenting on.

Maybe it makes no sense to you, who has been taught everything you know about religion from other humans. Humans make mistakes. Humans lie. Humans are wrong about many things all the time. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying there's a chance that what you've been taught isn't 100% correct. Everything should be critically looked at and questioned. To me, some polytheist theories, which are partly based on natural observations, are just as valid as monotheist theories.

Almost got in goddamn fight yesterday, and today, Dude followed me antagonizing me over some road rage he had bc he felt it was his turn to go straight before I turned left, lol, but anyway, young buck follows me behind a building where we can fight , gets out, this makes me happy I hate it when people run their mouths then run away, he gets out his Tesla stands up, dudes square, built, college probably, I listen to him jaw at me for two seconds and shoved him back in his car, was surprised he fell, but he popped back and hugged me, caught me completely off gaurd, don’t think he ever wanted to fight, neither did I tbh, wish I got his number we coulda been best friends, fucker was a young me but was smart enough to choose to not fight.
I learned something yesterday, a bunch of something’s, and I intend to take this opportunity to ignore from now on, I’m lucky I’m not in jail, I just have a huge problem backing down.

i got some anger issues from my old man. step 1 is to notice when you're pissed off/agro. step 2 is to ask yourself whether you're hungry, thirsty, or tired. usually it's at least 1 of the 3 causing me to snap and when i realize that it's a lot easier to cool off

Individually, your impreza has caused less pollution than the whole of lithium mining on it's own.. of course..
But... on it's own, lithium mining is far less impactful on the environment than fossil fuel extraction and fossil fuel vehicles.


the majority of lithium is found in extremely dry deserts like the Atacama and the Australian Outback and the Gobi.. the impact is pretty damn minimal on the whole, as these environments are not only home to extremely robust and adaptive flora and fauna, but also don't share impacts with more fragile biomes - that is to say, damage to the environment in a small area of the Outback is far less wholly impactful than say, damage to the Great Barrier Reef...

Additionally, nobody buys a tesla or an electric vehicle because they think they will all of a sudden be some sort of miracle working saint to the environment... of course there's plenty of petroleum-based plastic parts and copper wiring that comes from strip mines and tire rubber that comes from borderline ethical sources in Africa... but the thing that we as a society are currently striving towards is not a 'leave no trace' burningman goal... but rather one that strives to lessen our overall impacts on the environment.


Mile for mile, the impact of a Tesla or a Leaf or a Mini SE is far less than that of your impreza or my outback... and recycling processes can recover up to 96% of all materials from a Li-ion battery... including all the elemental products of which lithium is.

Good advice, especially being hangry, That’s a good way to go about it, mine is primarily triggers, and I’m triggered by road rage when it’s directed at me
i moved forward a lot in recent years with my own anger,ignorance, triggers, awareness and proactively managing what I must to avoid issues, but I’ve had some trouble with my anger since a recent car accident in which I got concussed and have had to be extra aware, my biggest problem is walking away, and being a magnet for shit starters.
I’m my defense I had just spent 11 hours driving to pickup a pup, I was hangry, wanted to smoke and then Mr Tesla happened, ima stay home and game , play with the pup for a few

Certainly, same can be said for me, also coulda got myself knocked out, def don’t need hit in the head again. The guy seemed aight, just hot, hopefully he grows out of that, seems otherwise cool like a good kid you’d never guess he’d rage til u see it ya know.
for the longest time I walked away from things….idk why I’m allowing myself to be so stoopid lately, doc said concussions can do things, I get that, but I’m not convinced it’s that over making a bad choice in a moment of anger/weakness.
id never shoot someone, maybe a zombie, or home invader, but never ever, I don’t even carry ever never, honestly I don’t wanna hit or hurt anyone ever for any reason period, absolutely don’t wanna shoot or kill anyone. If a fight must be then it must be but I’ve no desire to really hurt anyone, and I hope they always walk away ok, and had we fought ida stopped ASAP and made sure he was ok I’m no thug, I don’t even wanna be tough, I just wanna be athletic enough to ski like a beast, toss my son in the air, that’s all.

Mile for mile, the impact of a Tesla or a Leaf or a Mini SE is far less than that of your impreza or my outback... and recycling processes can recover up to 96% of all materials from a Li-ion battery... including all the elemental products of which lithium is.


Gotcha, I wasn’t fully aware of what you just said, however I’ve seen maybe 20+ teslas around utah with corny ass license plates that make me think the owner really thinks they’re saving the planet. Still don’t shame people for buying them, although the quality in everything but the power train is worse than my Subaru, at least interior wise. I’d only own one to save on gas in these fucked up times, but I’m still a whore for combustion engines.

I wouldn't buy a Tesla... overhyped to shit. And I say that as someone who's family member works for them. I'd get a Mini SE. Maybe a Leaf since theyre so damn cheap. Tesla's business practices can suck a dick

And sure... combustion engines will have their place for years to come... but the more EV drivers there are out there, the better it will be for all of us... the idea that lithium mining is equally as bad as all these gas and diesel burning engines is hilarious.

Yeah the benefit to a Tesla is cheap speed, otherwise I’d either spend less for a Leaf or more for say a Taycan that’s a well built car, I’m also not a big fan of Elon granted he’s a genius. But yeah I shouldn’t think so small minded about the lithium shit, i can only imagine how much shit the average gas powered car leaks oil, gas or coolant onto the roads and into water overtime, before considering exhaust fumes too.
