Idk i have plenty of military friends I get it. But if you can't ever say anything negative you're heading for a shit storm. All i mentioned was dude being a douche, and that's a no go. I didn't even dive into the military or how the things we're doing aren't for my freedom.

That's a whole threshold further of stuff you can't say. Maybe next I'll say something crazy like "civilians in other countries we're blowing up should matter". Somehow that's probably a crazy no go.

Nah I don't think you're wrong. Demanding thanks is such a poor move. Same thing for healthcare workers, first responders, etc; no body fucking owes others anything for choosing that career which also pays money. It's your fucking job. People lack humility far too often. You think the people who are in the elite special forces or intelligence sectors with top secret clearance go around saying "look what I did, thank me". No they don't. They do their job and have to be content with doing crazy ass shit saving the world over and over in ways no one will ever hear about. I feel that. He was middle aged. But i was noce enough just didn't engage beyond that. I guess he lives cut off from the world mostly for the winter so that's one of the reasons he kinda sucks with people. Idk. It's all good. Don't know like the guy but wasn't going to start anything.

That's pretty cool. Idk everyone's different, i def don't think you need to hide it but cool when people are humble. I def see more people complaining these days if being in the military for 2 years doesn't get them something extra. Makes me wonder.

I think most people do it for the right reasons at least I hope. I don't agree with a lot of the modern day stuff but I think people do it with decent intentions.

I've been working at it the past few months, and started some pretty intense training for running this month. At the beginning I couldn't run a mile in under 10 minutes and still had to make multiple stops.

Today, I ran a 5k, no stops, with under 9 minute splits. Nothing impressive but it finally feels like there is some progress.

Dude that sucks. When's your surgery/how long they say you need to be out with recovery and PT? For future peace of mind, someone on a past thread posted this brace on here. Could definitely help you prevent future dislocations after you recover. A bit awkward at first but definitely helps keep you out of those vulnerable abducted and externally rotated positions.

Ugh that's gonna suck. Just make sure to do whatever PT says to do. Never skip appointments or your workouts if you wanna be done as fast as possible. Hope you can get some skiing in. That does put you sometime in Jan-Feb to be back. Mid season conditions are something to look forward to

Hell yeah! Gotta start somewhere. The fact that you're not setting world records vut out doing it is a big thing. A lot of people use that as a reason not to.

The biggest obstacle is literally getting out and doing it. Can't improve if you never start.

I can't run anymore between my shitty brain and my knees but i hike a lot in the summer and that provides me a similar feel.

I def go through stages of drinking too many beers though. I'll get in good er shape just from not drinking beers. Then swap. Idk. Lifes weird. Cool you're doing something positive and feeling hyped. Get it!

My bosses are all my age or a bit older, 26-28, run our maintenance crew but just keep getting fucked over by higher ups due to age and it's really annoying. It's making our jobs a little shitty on top of bring treated like shit just because of our job.

Paid 165 to see a doctor to get not listned to. I get that sometimes people sre just wrong and wont listen to doctors. But I told them the exact issues i was having I had 8 years ago. Another place ignored me i paid almost 500 for tests and then later on ended up being the other issue.

I get that that doesnt mean this is related. But if they have no great ideas maybe take into account what I'm saying instead of ignoring me.

This is why I don't bother seeing a doctor unless it's for an xray.

Idk. Trying to make sure my health is dialed for the summer feels like it's not.

Mother fucker. Woke up to my room at 80F with no air circulation. The hottest week of the summer and I also just started seedlings under a grow light. I fucking love having to empty all my food into coolers. Plant + food issues are pissing me off more than the lack of a/c. Thank God this was my last day of night shift cuz sleeping midday in a hot home is gross.

But yeah blame the storms and not your lack of keeping up with infrastructure. Might not be fixed by the weekend either wtf it's Tuesday!

Every chick I meet at the bar in this god-forsaken beach town is fucking crazy.

Chick 1: Hangs out with me once then calls me every day for 2 weeks straight, sometimes multiple times a day then stops talking to me and posts pics of her with a dude. I say farewell and now shes trying to hit me up again after a couple weeks.

Chick 2: comes up to me gets me to hang out with her friends. Then she goes over to the bar to chat up some other bro and leaves me for half an hour then comes back over when he rejects her and attempts to grab my junk.

Chick 3: gets my number from my bartender friend and proceeds to text me all day yesterday telling me how she wants to hook up and all this stuff. Then calls me last night to tell me her whole fucking life story and when I don't respond how she wants proceeds to blow up on me and is currently blowing up my phone and calling me.

What in the god damn fuck is wrong with chicks in their 20s? I just want a girlfriend lmao.

Turd__AuthorityMother fucker. Woke up to my room at 80F with no air circulation. The hottest week of the summer and I also just started seedlings under a grow light. I fucking love having to empty all my food into coolers. Plant + food issues are pissing me off more than the lack of a/c. Thank God this was my last day of night shift cuz sleeping midday in a hot home is gross.

But yeah blame the storms and not your lack of keeping up with infrastructure. Might not be fixed by the weekend either wtf it's Tuesday!
