Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Well, there would be very few of we humans who would not be envious of such a privileged, globe trotting existence.
It WAS a different time regarding travel, world safety issues and such.....
....any final word on the HV condominium you spoke of?
WoFlowzI’m literally so jealous of the life my parents got to live in as teenagers. My dads parents were professors and he got to live all over Europe, the US, Africa, Australia and travel those areas. Like he got to spend 3 weeks in Fiji on his own when he was my age. Fly to Hawaii on his own etc. My mom got to travel a fuck ton cause her step dad (my grandpa/only real father figure she had) had something to do with some big medical company and he owned condos and houses in The Keys, Hawaii, Montana, Hilton head, lake houses in Wisconsin etc. So my mom got to go ski big sky over her winter breaks, and go to hawaii a few weeks a summer, same with the keys and in the winter. Along with bring her friends on all of this. Like Ahhhhh why can’t I have summers or vacations like this.

Idk i have plenty of military friends I get it. But if you can't ever say anything negative you're heading for a shit storm. All i mentioned was dude being a douche, and that's a no go. I didn't even dive into the military or how the things we're doing aren't for my freedom.

That's a whole threshold further of stuff you can't say. Maybe next I'll say something crazy like "civilians in other countries we're blowing up should matter". Somehow that's probably a crazy no go.

The people that are most pro military regardless of circumstances are generally against healthcare.

I guess it doesn't matter since the VA treats people so well.

All the money to recruit, all the hype to prop it up, until you get home. Then people are on their own unless 3rd party organizations step in to help. That's a lot of freedom.

Pretty messed up when we have a "defense" aka not anything to do with defense budget that's massive, we campaign to make the military seem awesome, but when people come home all messed up we don't care so much.

Nah I don't think you're wrong. Demanding thanks is such a poor move. Same thing for healthcare workers, first responders, etc; no body fucking owes others anything for choosing that career which also pays money. It's your fucking job. People lack humility far too often. You think the people who are in the elite special forces or intelligence sectors with top secret clearance go around saying "look what I did, thank me". No they don't. They do their job and have to be content with doing crazy ass shit saving the world over and over in ways no one will ever hear about. I find it analogous to bragging which unfortunately most people don't learn that value growing up.

torn labrum plus a chance i get something done for my instability too. i would’ve rather torn my acl cause at least i would be able to play guitar.

I feel that. He was middle aged. But i was noce enough just didn't engage beyond that. I guess he lives cut off from the world mostly for the winter so that's one of the reasons he kinda sucks with people. Idk. It's all good. Don't know like the guy but wasn't going to start anything.

That's pretty cool. Idk everyone's different, i def don't think you need to hide it but cool when people are humble. I def see more people complaining these days if being in the military for 2 years doesn't get them something extra. Makes me wonder.

I think most people do it for the right reasons at least I hope. I don't agree with a lot of the modern day stuff but I think people do it with decent intentions.

Used to be a high tier athlete in highschool. Like all state multi sport. Definitely let myself go over the last two years of college due to injuries, COVID, and some other personal stuff. Got up to 220lbs at 6'1", most of that being fat from drinking somewhere in the ballpark of 6-12 beers, everday for 2 years straight to deal with my problems

I've been working at it the past few months, and started some pretty intense training for running this month. At the beginning I couldn't run a mile in under 10 minutes and still had to make multiple stops.

Today, I ran a 5k, no stops, with under 9 minute splits. Nothing impressive but it finally feels like there is some progress.

Always happy to hear when people start committing to healthy routines and exercising regularly.

The gym has helped me out of so many hard times in my life. And nothing beats the rush of endorphins after a good workout.

Dude that sucks. When's your surgery/how long they say you need to be out with recovery and PT? For future peace of mind, someone on a past thread posted this brace on here. Could definitely help you prevent future dislocations after you recover. A bit awkward at first but definitely helps keep you out of those vulnerable abducted and externally rotated positions.

Ugh that's gonna suck. Just make sure to do whatever PT says to do. Never skip appointments or your workouts if you wanna be done as fast as possible. Hope you can get some skiing in. That does put you sometime in Jan-Feb to be back. Mid season conditions are something to look forward to

Hell yeah! Gotta start somewhere. The fact that you're not setting world records vut out doing it is a big thing. A lot of people use that as a reason not to.

The biggest obstacle is literally getting out and doing it. Can't improve if you never start.

I can't run anymore between my shitty brain and my knees but i hike a lot in the summer and that provides me a similar feel.

I def go through stages of drinking too many beers though. I'll get in good er shape just from not drinking beers. Then swap. Idk. Lifes weird. Cool you're doing something positive and feeling hyped. Get it!

some scumbag walked into my house and stole my bmx a couple nights ago. literally within 10ft of my roommate who was brushing his teeth. just ran in grabbed it and bailed. cops woke me up at 2am just to tell me they didn't find the dude (surprise!) and helpfully reminded me to lock my doors

don't have enough $ to replace it. was really looking forward to riding this new park nearby but i guess i'll just go fuck myself instead!

That's fucked. I hate thieves so much. I have a bike and a partial at my parents garage in NY I'd send ya but idk if I'm gonna make it back this year.

I hate seeing people out of hobbies.

Buddy just got robbed in portland. Stole his snowboards skateboards and clothes. I had a geetar to lend him but shit is so whack. Like his music his snowboarding and skating.

Idk people who steal peoples passion are the ultimate scumbags. I know it's unlikely but i hope you get it back. If i nake a rogue trip to thw east coast ill let ya know

My bosses are all my age or a bit older, 26-28, run our maintenance crew but just keep getting fucked over by higher ups due to age and it's really annoying. It's making our jobs a little shitty on top of bring treated like shit just because of our job.

Sadly I can't find anything that pays $21/hr or more near me so we just have to suck a ton of dick until something comes along

Paid 165 to see a doctor to get not listned to. I get that sometimes people sre just wrong and wont listen to doctors. But I told them the exact issues i was having I had 8 years ago. Another place ignored me i paid almost 500 for tests and then later on ended up being the other issue.

I get that that doesnt mean this is related. But if they have no great ideas maybe take into account what I'm saying instead of ignoring me.

This is why I don't bother seeing a doctor unless it's for an xray.

Idk. Trying to make sure my health is dialed for the summer feels like it's not.

Mother fucker. Woke up to my room at 80F with no air circulation. The hottest week of the summer and I also just started seedlings under a grow light. I fucking love having to empty all my food into coolers. Plant + food issues are pissing me off more than the lack of a/c. Thank God this was my last day of night shift cuz sleeping midday in a hot home is gross.

But yeah blame the storms and not your lack of keeping up with infrastructure. Might not be fixed by the weekend either wtf it's Tuesday!

Every chick I meet at the bar in this god-forsaken beach town is fucking crazy.

Chick 1: Hangs out with me once then calls me every day for 2 weeks straight, sometimes multiple times a day then stops talking to me and posts pics of her with a dude. I say farewell and now shes trying to hit me up again after a couple weeks.

Turd__AuthorityMother fucker. Woke up to my room at 80F with no air circulation. The hottest week of the summer and I also just started seedlings under a grow light. I fucking love having to empty all my food into coolers. Plant + food issues are pissing me off more than the lack of a/c. Thank God this was my last day of night shift cuz sleeping midday in a hot home is gross.

Where is the oil coming from? If it were something easy like a valve cover gasket they wouldn't quote it at $3500.

Probably still really high pricing though.

Why are you at a dealer if not for a warranty repair or recall?
