Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

My neighbors are going to be the end of me.

Every single day of the week for months now, they have had anywhere from 4-20 kids in their backyard screaming from 3pm to 10pm. Longer on weekends. It was fine for a little bit and hell yeah kids are having fun outside instead of playing video games that's fucking dope!

But holy hell I've basically had a kids birthday party in my backyard for 8 hours a day, sometimes 12 on weekends for months. It's fucking killing me and there isn't anything I can do without being a Karen lololol.

I think the correct strategy is to end up with more dogs than buns if you gotta cut it short. You can eat dogs alone. Nobody wants a lonely bun

Back when I was still porking I would honestly not even buy buns half the time in preference of just jamming a fork in the middle

Studying for this professional exam is going to be more of a consideration than I thought. I told myself one month of relative chilling after the busy season, then I’m getting right to it. But I’m dreading it and starting to procrastinate. Work still makes me stressed though. Every new assignment at work is some weird shit I’ve never seen before and it’s often jacked up in some way so I have to reach out for help but the senior staff are remote as much as possible and sharing screens sucks. People say the stress stays the same but you just get better. Idk work stuff just kind of sucks. I don’t hate this field though; the work itself is fine and I like how impersonal it is.

Snow sticks around longer and doesn't just evaporate off sidewalks and streets as much. It also doesn't immediately flow into the river and head downstream. That water stays local for longer. More, longer term water storage = slightly less dry of a summer and hopefully less severe fires

Unfortunately, the smoke from California has a funny way of destroying air quality for everyone else in the West. Hopefully you’re far enough North where it won’t be an issue. But this year is going to be ugly. People bitch about poor forest management but the snowpack is 20% of where it needs to be and reservoirs are already low. It’s a recipe for wildfires, regardless of what the forest service does to minimize fire danger

I grew up ripping dirt jumps on my bike and raced NBL cirtcuits in the midwest in BMX for most of my childhood, so it pains me to see how expensive bikes and mountain bikes are nowadays.

However i have always wanted to ride a dirtbike and there are some decent prices on great bikes that are less than both used and new mountain bikes so like why wouldn't you get two wheels with a motor??? I do hate how expensive just going outside is getting however. Hiking has become my favorite outdoor activity besides skiing (and soon to be bikes hopefully)

My coworker who was stealing drugs died. She got cleared to come back to work. Everything got swept under the rug. Girl needed professional help and the company would rather cover their ass than follow the proper steps to resolve the situation. Not saying it's directly their fault but it makes you think what would have happened if they actually helped her. I didn't like her but this is sad.

I'm sick as fuck. Holy shit. Was supposed to be moving stuff out yesterday and today. But I can barely move. Hoping to feel better tomorrow. I haven't been this sick in a really long time.

I was feeling a little rough leaving hood but didn't know I'd end up like this. Glad i left and got home.

Really wanted to go to the brain bowl sesh in bend and ride its tits today but it was a good call to bail. Was way too fucked to ride here yesterday was hoping to get out today as its our last weekend running rex chairlift. So far today i accomplished getting up to pee, drinking more water. And just now finally made it to the couch in the living room.

Maybe it's the rona idk. But damn. I got jacked up. Hopefully feel at least a little better tomorrow. If I feel any worse Im gonna have to hit a doctor or something. This is fucked.

Fuck. That's terrible. If we invested more in free programs for people they'd have a better chance. Even if you weren't friends and she was stealing shit still sucks to see people go out that way. Still way to common. And we generally sweep it under the rug or say "drugs are bad" and double down on failed drug war policies. Some people don't have 50k or whatever those treatment centers charge. Also that's a pretty fucked up racket too. You don't want your kid to die ao you mortgage youe house hoping they get better.

Ill shut up now. Just sad to see

Music, or going to the skatepark.

Idk sometimes not that hard to just stop using something. Sometimes hard. Usually I can ditch the phone or the laptop and pull out the geetar for a while and forget all about whatever weird thread I was arguing with people in. NS is pretty lighthearted and skiing ish centered so I don't mind hanging around here if I'm bored.

There are different levels you can engage with stuff, but if you're noticing it's not healthy might not be bad to cut it out for a while. Take the app off your phone and just stop checking it. If you're not getting into new stuff on their and the old stuff you were in dies out you'll have less of a desire to check it. Plus you'll probably find something else to do.

Totally fucked myself over this year in geometry. Cheated the whole year up until now on literally everything. Somehow doing good on our practice exams and final reviews without cheating but no way I’m able to do shit next year in algebra two especially since I couldn’t do squat in algebra 1. It’s obviously my fault, looking back on it I had a good time never having to do work and getting to mess around and what not but I totally set myself up worse for next year.

Bruh that’s a F. You will flunk out of algebra 2 by the first few tests if you don’t find a cheating method or study up. That shit is graph and polynomial heavy, if ur factoring is lacking you will struggle. Then they throw some basic trig at you near the end to really fuck you over. Grind khan academy or get a tutor

We used to make the 1”x 4” cheat sheets with tiny computer print in highschool, under sleeves, in a pocket, between a calculator and it’s backing , plus it adds a lil excitement

Oh yeah. I also got a letter in the mail. I’m finally vested for my pension. Guess how much I’ll make when I’m 65 (42 years with the company)?


$368 per month. It is genuinely laughable. I work for a not for profit org so we have 403b instead of 401k’s… same thing whatever. I’d rather take the 403b match. At least that money would be invested and worth a hell of a lot more than $370 per month. I fucking hate it here.
