Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.
I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.
safarisamThere was a lot of blood, roommate and i panicked because it wouldn’t stop bleeding. morning update:
Jemsmy top thigh muscle has been twitching hella for like 4 days straight what do it do
At home, sit and flex it hard and hold for ten seconds, do this a few times. Then, stretch it a lot more. Do shit to work it like run, hike, or ski hard. If it's painful you should prolly go see a doctor. I know you hear that a lot here :/

Fuckin fuel filters been starting to clog up on my car, and it bit me in the ass today.
>Be me
>Spend an extra 5 in bed cause lazy ass
>miss bus
>fuck, gotta drive to school
>park in visitor lot cause late to class and don't wanna walk an extra ten min
>whatever, its a short class, I'll move the car after
>come back from class, car won't start
>cranks, but just won't fire
>shoulda replaced the fuckin filter when I had the chance
>dick around with it for a bit to try and get some fuel pressure
>have to get to next class, hope sitting for a bit helps
>come back, car still won't start, and now I've got a fucking parking ticket
>keep fucking with it, miss next class
>call tow truck
>truck shows up, some fuckin nigerian vlogger starts filming me
>guess he though I was getting towed for a parking violation and wanted to get me loosing my shit for views?
>get him to piss off
>make it home, tow truck driver is also into volvos so he's cool
Was just fucking exhausting, dealing with car shit, parking nazis, nigerians and my mental health. Gonna get a new filter on there tomorrow, and hope for the best. Shit better work, cause I need my car to get innawoods to analyze some trees for school. Definitely the worst Volvo I've owned, can't wait to be rid of her.
Jemsi fucking hate my writing 101 class shit gives me so much unreasonable anxiety over stupid shit fuck writing
Taking a technical writing college class in high school was so nice. I always heard writ 101 is straight ass especially when you are in other actual classes

it’s not really that difficult of a class but my life long method of writing essays is rawdogging it the night before or night of. prof wants us to revise and peer review our essays in class HELLA but everything isn’t graded on quality it’s graded on if you actually turn it in or not. this class makes me breathe uncontrollably fast every MWF i can’t take it.

Yup, a huge chunk of your valuable time taken up for a class that likely barely helps your major. Good luck dawg

What have you been doing in class??
I’m in Writ300 rn and tbh the only purpose for writ101 is to help you through the rest of your college classes and just instilling some core writing skills in you. If you suck at writing now than it’s good that you take this before harder classes. writ212 was by far the hardest though, don’t take that one unless you need to.
I’ve unfortunately tried all those gimmicks, hate to see anyone waste their money or put something on/in their body that’s bad, but if it gives ya some momentary relief in some way good for you 👍🏼and that ns member has some digestive issues and likely just needs minerals, now had he said I pulled a muscle doing this or that my response woulda been different

Pretty much this. When I was teaching you couldn't imagine the amount of people that simply did not know how to write. At all.
I'd get 5 page papers turned in with not a single paragraph. No knowledge of intro, proof, conclusion. Run on sentences 2 paragraphs long. Slang terms and curse words in paper. It was fucking rediculous. It's fine to be like that over text or online etc. But you turn that shit into your boss and you're getting fired lol.
Like it or not 99.9% of jobs require you to write in a technical, business, or professional sense. English 101 is solely there to prepare you for future classes and the real world.

for annoying nigerians i sometimes use a splatterball gun. It usually does the trick.
"If you would like to gift your athletes coaches with tips, please send them to me first *insert bossmans venmo* and I will disperse them out". Just saw that excerpt in our end of season email blast to the parents.
Of course your taking a lil off the top from us. Managers in ski towns are fucking scumbags. I don't do it for tips but that's greaseball shit to feel entitled to your employees money

Lol I literally don’t understand why parents of kids in the program I worked with this winter tipped the supervisors and directors of snowsports that get payed way more than any instructors and don’t have to deal with any of the things we do. Just management stuff like time sheets and schedules and organization, Ik it’s not just that but compared to dragging kids around all day every weekend the whole szn, some of who are absolute brats and take a ton of patience and work when coaching them. Thankfully non of my kids this year were but some close friends had those types of kids. I probably shouldn’t be too but hurt because I made over 400$ in tips and only being a assistant/trainee coach, not including the trips/places I got invited to by the parents, but still I personally don’t see why parents would/should tip people who don’t even talk or see their kids. Not butt hurt over this cause I didn’t even expect tips with this being my first szn but I can see how coaches Ik were

I remember having to do workshop sessions in small groups during eng101/102.
Good Lord man, half the time I the only constructive thing I could tell someone was that they need to actually do the assignment and not what ever they had done.
This one time we were supposed to be doing a literary analysis and all this girl did was summarize all three hunger game books
BigPurpleSkiSuitpretty sure there's an episode of that gordon ramsay show where he's so pissed at the owner of a hotel for doing this he drives off.
I remember this episode too lol. He's michelin star rated so Im sure he knows what service is so as someone who worked shit hospitality jobs for a while, I loved watching his shows where he would verbally abuse shithead hotel managers
Ive had this happen before though and it does suck. Ive always felt that in service industry jobs the more you personally hustle, the more you might get some tips and maybe even more than others but no need for others to get jealous or no need for managers to feel they need some of their employees money too. I used to love big ski weekends as a bellman/guest service agent cuz youd make a killing and stay busy from 4pm till 11. My managers at some places would help because it was a skeleton crew and we'd share but they were always generous and almost always let their employees keep most of the money.
But yeah. Greasy stuff.

The reason there aren’t more pros active on the site and in the forms is because of the immature young kids on the site. If everything was mature and oriented around skiing, I feel like there would be more pros here sharing and talking about skiing.
When I was a new member I always thought a million times about each thing I posted, tryna match the good vibe, not saying dumb bullshit. It’s ruthless here these days (yes I know it’s always been like this somewhat).
Cultural appropriation arguments are pretty stupid sometimes. As an artist if I take inspiration or use symbols from another culture it's out of respect. I should probably research those smybols and do my best to not disrespect the culture too. There are probably many brands who dont do this, is it worth our time persicuting those people? If those symbols I use aren't legally protected then good luck guilt tripping me into thinking that I shouldn't benefit from the art I made. Often I feel that these situations are more complicated than activists might think. Before we know the full story people speak out. Can't we just sit down and understand everything before perpetuating cancel culture?
Thinking about how I've been given the task of re-parenting myself with even less resources and support than my parents had (and look how well they did).
Reddit is absolutely the worst for reporting people and doing anything about it. Sure Facebook and YouTube are bad but at least there's ways to report. I've been seeing sooooo many brand new Russian spammers and misinformation accounts, however you can't report individual accounts, only posts and comments. Then the comments don't always have categories that fit this. So then reddit says they didn't violate anything because it doesn't fit into their black and white rules.
Just absolutely unreal, especially all the shit about ukraine. Russia is having a propaganda field day on reddit.

I am so done with you fucking entitled trustfund baby self-proclaimed "dirtbag" climber bros its not even funny. Go the fuck back to oregon.
pisses me off when guys in the office question why a job takes so long or push to get a bigger job started at 3pm. Like sorry I can’t magically teleport from one job site to another. It also takes time to drive half way across town to pick up parts at the supplier and get organized for a job. Drop off garbage. Pick up keys. Drive in circles trying to park the van. Get ladders set up. Find electrical disconnects / locate equipment. Talk to the site contacts. Fill out our paperwork. Wtf do they think we do all day. This shit seems like common sense to me but apparently not
Fuckkk sitting in my truck and the whole thing is vibrating more than normal, but I have no idea why or where it's even coming from. Engine is running perfectly

Ah, the ever ongoing office/desk people thinking things just magically happen. Most of these people have not ever been out in the actual field to understand what it takes to make the physical job succeed. They just know it works on their computer/drawing but when in reality it takes a lot more to make it happen. I deal with this daily. It is best to just keep your cool and explain things as simple and basic as you can, like trying to teach a kindergarten class. Good luck as this is will be a ongoing battle.
The problem with office workers is they get one of those fancy white pieces of paper to put on a wall that says they know something when in fact they’d don’t know shit, hate it when people are awarded a position instead of promoted from workers who get the process

It's the offices job.
It's your job to tell them to fuck off.
It's the American way

Upset because my coworker is a piece of shit and has no business being a nurse. Her patient was a social worker for a nearby childrens hospital. She had a big say in CPS cases and removing kids from unfit homes. I guess a family member of a child that was removed found her office, locked them in and she was brutally raped and stabbed by him. She worked in a hospital and has severe PTSD from this incident (can you blame her?).
So now she is in the hospital for an unrelated issue and she’s having very bad PTSD symptoms. And this fucking nurse is complaining about how she is too much… She knows what happened to her and is still unable to be minimally empathetic. I fucking hate people like her. I have no respect for a nurse who can’t lend any compassion. Be a doctor if you just want to diagnose and treat illnesses/disease. Don’t be a nurse if you don’t want to care for people.

Guess I was wrong about the engine. Cylinder 3 misfire now. Of course it's just my luck this happens when I have the busiest week all semester and I just fixed the damn thing less than an oil change ago
