people whining about the crystal pass prices either started skiing last year or have the memory of a gold fish. in 2018 they had the same pricing structure with zero ikon access. was chatting with my dad about it, he said his aspen pass cost about the same as the "new" crystal pass and that was in 1980 dollars. shits not new
epic/ikon spoiled the shit out of casual weekend skiers. we are watching the tantrum as they realize that skiing cannot be both cheap and uncrowded when your local is 2hrs from an outdoorsy metro with 4 million people.
as much as i like the idea of making skiing more accessible it's impossible for me to keep that attitude when i'm stuck in line with the entire population of seattle. very much looking forward to next season at crystal
