Hey park crew. For the millionth time, can I get feedback on the jumps. Especially when they change or are first built, especially when I ask about a specific jump, especially if someone gets hurt on a jump.

What the fuck. Hey, get me fucking feedback means, hey get me some fucking feedback.

Jesus. If you're hitting it how does it ride. Is it too poppy, too mellow, not a big enough gap. Too big. In addition how does it look as far as other people hitting it. If you aren't hitting it what are people saying.

Shouldn't have to shake people down for feedback and if I specifically ask for feedback should get it.

If I want anything done i have to do it myself. Even if it's outside of the already stupid amount of hours im working. I just worked 13 or 14 days in a row. A bunch of them long shifts or double. No in not coming to ride everyday. You guys are here when we're open.

If i don't do something myself i have to keep hassling them and maybe in a week or two it gets done. Maybe not.

That's some bullshit. Nothing personal, but that's just not it.

I know it's been hard to hire people this year. I know were lacking a supervisor to help keep people doing their job and teach them things or stay on them about getting shit done, but that's life.

Idk, im not a manager or a supervisor. I've taken on those responsibilities because shit needs to get done but damn. I get it if you don't understand something, but if its something easy that you can do, someone shouldn't have to tell you every day for a week plus to get it done.

Idk. It's the kind of stuff that just makes you not want to deal with it. Going to stsrt winching a night a week and swap one of my park nights. But honestly might do more next year.

I like this job but i already work night. That already sucks. I don't need to baby sit people and make sure they're getting things done or ask them for the same thing every day.

Shit gets old. They've been raking better recently which is good. Some days it actually looks really good but things are still pretty inconsistent at best.

I think a lsck of solid work ethic combined with a lack of seeing other parks, lack of experience, lack of training. We did do multiple rake trsining days and I've explained things a bunch. But i guess people just need a person to force them to work and baby sit them or they won't get shit done.

Kinda sucks. And is frustrating af. There's enough stress for this season. I dont need to add that.

Everywhere has limitations but our stuff could be way better and i want to see it get there. It seems like its growing which is good. I'm just not satisfied with "It's not bad" ya know.

I'm stoked if it rides good or people have fun but I def focus on the things that could be better. Not to be negative but you can't improve if you don't try and focus on that stuff.

Hopefully we can keep improving. People raking has been a lot better. Jumps are riding pretty good. Disco is small but a fun park to hike. Idk.

Hopefully when fully built out things are pretty sick.

Two weeks ago my co-worker got covid, then I got covid, was feeling fine and then had a 5 day headache and a few days of a cough. One morning I stood up out of bed and instantly collapsed/fainted and hit my head on a desk and my stomach and ribs on the post of my bed, I have had problems with visually blacking out when I stand up for 8 years that I have never actually been able to figure out with a doctor but I've never actually fainted. I also started going to the gym consistently before this, but the past few days I have been getting winded just from light walking a couple miles.
Then my cat had blood in her urine, had to get samples for the vet and drive back and forth to drop off/pick up stuff for that, then the medicine gave her diarrhea, vet wants us to use a prescription food but we literally just bought a hundred bucks worth of her usual food, and to top it all off as soon as she woke up this morning she puked on her freshly washed blanket that was right next to my pillow and I forgot to put her medicine back in the fridge last night and there is a big orange label that says it must be refrigerated.
Now I'm finally well enough to go back to work and I have like 20 emails and countless other projects I was already way behind on even before taking two weeks off. I used up all of my paid sick leave, I have hardly any other PTO accumulated but I wasn't really able to visit my friends and family this holiday season despite having everything planned to go visit them, I haven't had what feels like any actual relaxing time off in what feels like years.
I am so fucking exhausted, I didn't eat dinner last night or breakfast this morning and have been struggling my appetite for months, I feel so fucking weak all the time and spiraled into a deep dark hole until like 2 am the other night when I saw a video of myself walking around the house stoned in my underwear looking like a fucking malnourished tweaker. Oh yeah and I got prescribed a medication with a side effect of appetite suppression that I haven't even started because I'm too scatterbrained to get my shit together and actually go and pick it up. And I've blown off therapy for the past three weeks because I is starting to feel like I'm not actually making any progress.
I also have had a slow leak in my tire for months now that I haven't done anything about other than top it off with air every few days, it finally went completely flat and when I went to put on the spare tire I slipped on the ice and hurt my back even more. Then when I was driving around I find out that something in my front driveline is binding up even when I'm in 2 wheel drive.
Shit's been fucked. I wanna go skiing. It's supposed to get up to like 40-50 degrees at Bridger this week.

So there’s a kid at HV who dead ass copy’s everything I do and it’s mad annoying but also like cool that someone other than 4 year olds look up to me, but at the same time it’s annoying asf. But then again I try to replicate stuff I see that I like so I’m prolly the exact same in other peoples eyes. Sounds super dumb Ik.
And prolly the biggest reason it bothers me and specifically cause he’s a dick to people in the park. Like ok cool wanna copy me it’s annoying but what ever, copy me and then be a dick to other people and me tryna do all the same shit as me, dress like me and ski like me. It ends up being wack.

Drivers side door handle broke on the cat. Jave to climb through passenget side over a huge console.

Not super fun. Also cat needed fuel snd def which are in different spots. So I've had to climb over it 3 times already and haven't left the shop yard lol.

Fuck. At least i get to practice my parkour skills :(

When things get too hectic for me I put all my phones/ laptops away and just try to focus on what’s in front of me in the moment. It’s helped so much for my anxiety / mental health / focus !

Unfortunately, I can't put my phones away. We are three weeks into the legislative session, and I am 24/7 on-call for all things pertaining to the 124-page alcohol reform bill that I've been working on for twelve years. But I have been making sure to get my lifting and dedicated time with each of my kids in everyday. Focusing on the bright lights of each day, no matter how small they might be.

I appreciate you! Looking forward to turning off electronics for a solid week or two in a few months, haha.

Anyone else hate passive aggressive work emails? Nothing worse than working with a bunch of overachievers who think they're God's gift to the world. Even worse when it's a group email but the revenge in those is all the sweeter. Drives me up a fucking wall and I always reply back with a slightly sarcastic response to call them out for their attitude. One time I got one from the queen of passive aggressive emails asking why I recommended this treatment instead of this other way which is the "right way" and I replied back politely with a taste of their own medicine showing I was exactly right and linked screenshots, guidelines, and everything. Suck my cock. The pettiness of some people at work is insane sometimes.

Strike relief check "facts" they told us in sept/oct:
-This is NOT a paycheck because you aren't working for it. (side note you DID have to work in order to get the "relief checks")
-This is NOT income.
-When you file unemployment DO NOT include this as income because you are not working for it (see point 1 - this never made sense to me)
-This is NOT taxable income so we will not be taking out taxes. You've paid into the strike fund with your dues so this is your money coming back to you.

WELP GUYS ITS TAX TIME AND YOU KNOW WHAT THE FUCK COUNTS AS TAXABLE INCOME?

That's fucking right, our strike checks.

And to make it even better it's taxed at 32% because you have to pay an additional "self employment tax" on it. So I have to pay almost $550 out of the $1600 they gave me. I can't wait to see how the fuck they are going avoid responsibility for this shit.

Jeez hope you make it through the tunnel Mingg, health and education are getting shafted so hard right now. My friend and I are teaching and nursing majors and we’re both already getting really grim glimpses into our field.

Update from my life: living alone with crutches, being a full time student and a part time worker is so exhausting. And I don’t even have it as bad as other people. Also what’s up with Montanans parking handicap without a pass? Kinda has me really fucked up when I can’t park near my classes cause some shitty charger or truck is parked up in the handicap spots.

oh well, I’ll be off crutches soon I guess. Knee is getting better, can get my full extension and 90 degrees, should be leveling up to the next phase of PT soon.

Like a teeter totter box, an old Volkswagen Beetle that they had placed kind of on a spine as a jib, A bunch of strangely shaped boxes, and even a small pipe
