Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

I genuinely like helping people and don't have a problem with it. At the time I had the money to loan and had a lot of time to get it back before it was really a problem. Evidently I didn't think that through well enough. People who don't respect how I've tried to help them makes me mad and makes me not want to help people at all though. But I will probably still help people because I like to. Just not at the level I have been lately.

I mean theres 2 different ways you could go about it. Since you said semester i assume its a college parking lot and its just campus security?

Be kind and considerate say you didnt know the zone was there and you were late for a huge test blah blah.

Its probly too late for this but move your car so its like just inches into the restricted zone. Take a picture and maybe theyll just change it into a warning

I wish life was as easy as it was made out to be when you were a kid. or at least for me. Dont get me wrong i am an incredibly lucky person and was given an amazing life but recently I have been just beaten down by the little things...Over and over and over.

Maybe its because I have anxiety and fixate on stupid problems but somedays I have to drag myself around to do anything. I am finally on break (one of the first I have had for months) but bullshit keeps interrupting every free second I have...

people around me say don't sweat the little stuff but it just seems a never ending slog.

She's Ignored my therapist suggestion, intimidated my friends and boyfriend to the point they aren't gonna visit me, and isn't allowing me to go places unsupervised. It's like I'm in middle school again. She straihjt up told my boyfriend she didn't trust him, and then made fun of a personality trait of mine all in one blow.

Go the fuck home and stay the hell out of my relationship you bitter old women. This is why I never invited my friends over in high school. You make it so I can't evens enjoy obe of the nicest restaurants in town. Thanks.

My other roommate(I'll refer to her as roommate A) is just a fucking mess. Our roommate(Roommate B) told us she had an eating disorder in the beginning of last semester. 3 days later roommate A started making comments about not wanting to eat and wanting to make herself throw up. After like a week she stopped. Later on in the semester we were having a conversation about PTSD and a couple days later she all of a sudden started having panic attacks and flashbacks which ended relatively quickly.

Now we come back from winter break. Our other roommate(Roommate C) has stopped taking antidepressants and is having trouble with it. Same thing happens, roommate A starts magically showing signs of Depression and says she is going through withdrawal. Then one of my best friends committed suicide and then all of a fucking sudden she was saying she's suicidal.

I'm assuming she is being 100% serious(because thats just not something to take lightly) but I'm sorry I am in no position to help her at the moment. So I recommend that she gets professional help and she says no. I tried to get roommate B to convince her to get help. Roommate A still says no. 5 days later she's fuckin all happy and stuff and acts like nothing is bothering her. So life goes on. Everything is fine with her.

Today, I confronted roommate B after a snapchat that said "cont3mpl8ing suicide. LOL". Just told her that I don't find that funny and that I would appreciate it if she didn't make jokes like that. Everything was cool. She understood and apologized. So that was awesome but roommate A overheard.

Now all of a sudden she is making more threats about suicide. So I call my RA in because I cannot deal with it. They go talk for a while. She tells our RA that she is fine. Then almost instantaneously continues to express her suicidal thoughts to us when she comes back. Like if I could help her I would but I can't and if she is really thinking about this then she needs help and I think she wants to find help in us as her roommates. Which I normally would be okay with. But I really can't help her because I'm still trying to move on from losing my friend. And I don't think she understands that there isn't a lot that we can do. She needs to get help from a professional.

Her denying that leads me to think that she just wants attention from us as her friends. But assuming that would make me a shitty person so I don't want to say that. However, I can almost guarantee that in a week or less she will be back to her normal self. Which is kind of a kick in the teeth and angers me because it wouldn't be the first time she has pulled this kind of thing to get attention. Okay I'm done now.

I love getting them at colleges that I don't go to. I just let them stack up.

When you go to the school that's different though. Idk. Maybe own up to it and be like yo I goofed don't throw the book at me, or play the ignorant card, or break some windows set some shit on fire and riot till the school year is out

Got my paycheck today. Also got a sweet bank of america card that I didn't fucking want. Bank of america paid for some partnership with vail where they try to give you some stupid fucking card instead of a check. I thought everything was fine because I've been receiving checks all year no problem. Nope, bank realized it's the end of the season so decided to get their scam rolling since these are the last 2 paychecks for many people.

HR talked it up like it was sweet at the beginning of the year and I was like, lol fuck that. Turns out you even get charged a fee for the stupid fucking card that nobody wants.

Bank of america did a good job to piss me off enough to stay away from them forever.

Now I gotta go to HR tomorrow and get them to get me off this stupid card. They'll say "Go home and go on the vail website to change it" but the vail site was fucked at the beginning of the season and it's the last week so the changes wouldn't even go into place in time to do eneything/ why the fuck are you fucking with my pay at the end of the season.

Going to drop bows if needed.

spot on. this happened to me recently and it's the worst. it took a year to get paid after I did the work... also stoked to say I'm never working with that guy again.

be glad you aren't east. It took me months to find a place in boston and I pay absurd money for my age and where i live. I know a few people that live in SLC that pay next to nothing for somewhere to live. Good luck man!

Doesn't really have anything to do with living east and everything to do with living in a city.

There are tons of areas all over the east coast where you can find dirt cheap housing. Close to a major city, not so much.

Except for Buffalo. Buffalo is mad cheap. You can get a 4 bedroom house and pay 200-300 dollars a month(per person) for rent. It's ridiculously cheap compared to other cities.

more of a "comparative" perspective. I know nothing about the West, but Salt Lake City is a fairly large city (relative for that area) ie. would be the Boston of Utah? (correct me if I'm wrong). Rent in Utah's largest city =/= rent on the outskirts of Boston?

People who get pushy in lines in general. You'll be waiting in a long line and the people in front will move up 3 feet and you won't or be about to and the people behind will start to melt. It's like Hello genius people behind me, the line time is based off the amount of people in the line not the length. We could all be right on top of each other and get there at the same time just far less comfortably.

Same with people in traffic jams. You leave a buffer zone so you're not slamming the brakes then gassing it and can keep a more consistent speed(which actually helps prevent traffic jams) yet they get all pissy. That's when I do what I can to make people road rage. Oh please, the whole reason you're stuck in traffic is because there's more than a 2 inch gap between me and the person in front. Suck a dick bitch.

This girl just came back to my dorm about an hour ago so fucked up. We had to call 911 because she was puking blood and her eyes were rolling back into her head and like she was practically unconscious and even though she got drunk outside of the dorms we're all getting in a shit ton of trouble. Fuck. They tell you to help your fucking friends and then fuck you over. I'm happy she is going to be okay but god fucking damn it we are all screwed now. Looking at 60+ hours of community service for all of us. Fuck. I don't know what to do.

Well we were drinking in our room prior to her coming here(she came back from a frat party). They are saying she drank here because we had some bottles around when the first responders/campus police got here. She doesn't live in our room so we are all kind of fucked for it. She isn't doing very well from what we know. I don't know. If alcohol is found in your room you get community service as punishment(it's just the school's policy). Because this is one of the more serious cases, we will likely get more than normal. We were in the wrong for drinking in our room. I can accept that but we didn't get her drunk. We did not supply her with any alcohol. There's no way of proving that though so we're kind of screwed. I just really hope that she is gonna be okay to be honest.

Ah I see. At least you are teasing up to what you did, but it's college, and everybody drinks. The school is just trying to cover their ass. And like you said there is no way to prove you didn't give it to her....shitty situation all around.

Been waiting on getting my car fixed. Finally got it back today. Make it home, not even 50 miles and it's fucked again.

Had no plans of staying in colorado for the summer. Don't want to. Don't know how the fuck I'm going to get anywhere. Debating leaving it where it is or lighting it on fire and spending the last of my money trying to go some wheres cool and shake this depression.

Just cannot get ahead. Have tickets to see music with friend the next 4 nights in denver but that's probably a no go. Have to move out of my place where I've been living in the morning and I don't even think my cars going to make it a mile down the road. Maybe 5 tops.

Really don't know if I'm going to be able to pull this one off.


I just want shit to make sense. I want to work somewhere for a change where things go well. This was my worst season I've ever had, even counting ones with season enders. I legit only had 3 days where I had fun at Beaver Creek the whole season. Found out I broke my wrist mid season raking the sides of our HORRIBLY setup features. Now I have to figure out what's wrong, what do do, if workers comp will cover it since everything was working in that shithole park, etc.

Also found out today that people have been putting skimmers in credit card machines even gas pumps in the area, somebody stole my shit and have to make sure the bank doesn't charge me for what some scumbag in aura spent. Canceled my card.

Basically, was barely going most of the season. The thought of being able to do some hiking this time of year, leave, do a nice road trip and get the fuck out of here was really all that was keeping me going.

Now my head is just spinning, and I want it all to stop. Fucking over it. Going to try to pull something off and keep things going but I just don't know this time. Might be time to pull the plug.

So my AR lower arrived yesterday and I was showing it to my roommates. The one who's a total moron in all aspects and who says he "knows guns" grabs the lower, switches off the safety and pulls the trigger slamming the hammer onto the bolt release catch. Like WTF!? Now it didn't wreck or scratch anything but like how stupid do you have to be to do that? Then he hands it back to me and says "oh I probably shouldn't have done that." You're damn right you shouldn't have.

He will never hold my firearms again.

And it's dumbasses like that who give responsible gun owners a bad rap.

that's the case for like everyone that came out here this year, lol. soo many miserable, pissed off jerries that came through the lifts i worked at this winter. I totally get it, though. you don't want to drop hard earned dollars to ski boilerplate, shitty snow in the middle of march when its normally awesome and cold.



Locals here just piss me off most of the time, idk why. every chairlift ride is "bitch bitch bitch, moan moan moan" with locals. Its like yeah, i get it, it sucks, but work with what you got and have some fucking fun. Ive skied countless bulletproof days skiing chutes,cliffs, whatever it may be and those were some of my most fun days on skis i have ever had. Idk why people cant just fucking nut up and work with the hands their dealt, you know?

I mean, I had an unreal time. I skied terrain I have never dreamt of skiing before. after 10AM conditions were so springy and park skiing was super fun. Hot laps all day. But I had the vision in my head that I would be tits deep in snow smiling ear to ear. We had a great time, I just wish the weather had stayed that way and ruined every one else's winter hahaha... like if it's going to be warm and slushy, stay warm and slushy. don't rub it in my face.
