Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.
I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.
I feel like regardless of where you stand politically it should be widely accepted that we the average people in society have been cheated with COVID and everything going on these days. At the start of Pandemic I was all about the mask, lockdowns, BLM, all of that then shit started degenerating the news kept getting worse and worse at the same time so did our living conditions. Now I’m not saying i’m against any of those it’s still BLM, I still believe the Vaccines Help (no vaccine is 100% effective though), but I just cannot help but nod my head to the other side when they say that this whole entire thing is fabricated; It certainly feels that way especially now more than ever. Senate and House elections are this year that might look bad.. I imagine the US presidential elections in 2 years will be even worse.
I hardly pay attention to the news I hate all media outlets I don’t care if they lean left, right, or are simplu neutral it all sounds like shit to me. However I have noticed that across the board Omicron has taken over causing a bigger disruption in things than we have predicted. This I feel is literally the Elites plan at work.
Sadly Millions are dieing for their agenda to be carried out.
Cargo Train Robberies, Port Backups, Supply Chain Issues, Weak Trade Policy on China (Literally Empowering them)… these are all fabricated events I feel.. I don’t know
Like I said I may not disagree with you at all but this is starting to get real fishy. I’m so close to just saying fuck it and joining the mobs that are hitting stores for their goods/ just going full on repubtard and never wearing a mask anywhere
Omicron was an uncertainty a “Wildcard” as they put it
A month later here we are the Wildcard is not so wild after all..Whoah implement lockdowns.. close shops for round 2 and this time make it bloodier… More looting, More Capitol Riots, More Murders and Rape and Armed Robberies, Stall the Supply chain even Longer lets Starve the people!!
yeah Eat a Dick this shit is too obvious at this point
If we have to lockdown again I am simply not.. it’s not worth it there are many reports that show the dangers of locking people in; it should be obvious to us at this point we can spare the lives of a few to save literally the rest of us as in everyone else.. especially those of us that are drawn to snowsports
When marketing is fucking clueless and posts this and tags your parks.
Parks got groomed in the morning but sugat snow and warm temps doesnt set well. Busiest park day of the year plus night skiing where 100 petcent of the traffic goes through this park or right next to it.
Took a pic end of that noght like wtf. Also that isnt dirt on the lsnding its a skier either badly photo shopped out or blurred in pic.
Come the fuck on guys. They posted it on their insta and parks are getying mad hate. Thanks guys
This is the equivalent of taking a pow day photo at 3 pm on a busy trail. Funny how marketing goes up before public to get pow turn shots. Then takes a picture like this of the parks.
Also most fsyd psrks still look pretty good night skiing. Just had s bunch of rain snd warm temps snow is dead ice crystals and legit the busiest night we've had so far.
Bummer because parks are looking pretty good.
You wouldn't know it.
They delayed us being able to use our park instagram first month of the season while refusing to post anything about sll the work. Rail rebuilds, new rails, etc.
SendyMcSendyfaceNothing like spending a week crafting a bomb-ass resume, and having the job you're applying for make you paste that shit in plain text.
Holy fuck my frostbite is so much worst than I thought. I just went from not skiing for a couple more weeks to not skiing for months. My toe nail and a huge chunk of skin came off today cuz my dog stepped on my toe and underneath was was a 3mm deep by 10mm diameter hole of rotted away flesh. I didn't know the frozen skin went to damm deep. It looked so gruesome. Fuckkkkkkk

I lowkey hate when people use the nword in the park and fa word. Like can u not find any other word besides a slur to say. It literally happened today and I called the kid who was skiing with me and some friends out. He got all defensive like it’s a word bro chill out. Like nah that shit just don’t fly, glad some of his better friends also called him out for it
mrk127Had two pretty clueless doctors check it out the day after it happened but Now I got an appointment with a specialist on Monday
That sounds good though I might suggest a visit to the ER followed by a relatively minor emergency surgery. I'm not an expert or a doctor but I'm pretty sure you want to have that dead part removed and have the wound cleaned and dressed properly to avoid getting gangrene and losing more flesh.
Maybe being from the northeast I take rail jam setups pretty seriously.
A lot of cool setups and wild plazas. Done a lot of big setups with small crews or no crews. Some in very short amount of time.
Anyway, these days I'm mostly in a cat. I found out we were having a rail jam. Got stoked and also scared.
Our shaping has been okay i guess, but pretty inconsistent.
I was worried because i know how good work pops and elevates a setup. You can make a setup look as good as pro contests just caring a little bit more.
Anyway i jumped out of the cat several times to help get things going in that regard. Make sure people knew what was up. I've mentioned several times how much aesthetics matter.
Anyway we got blessed with some amazing snow for shaping. Wet packy snow you could dig or stack. It sucked in the cat but was leaving things really nice regardless.
With temps dropping it was going to set hard.
Nobody wanted to set anything the day before either. I told people it was going to be a lot to do in a night knowing how they work and compared to what we have in the park. People insisted one day.
Whatever snow was great.
Once a fucking gain, same person "i dont wanns be out here too late". I get it. But dude says that EVERY build and the reasom ive done all the sets by myself in the cat. Just not worth having another peson out there who isn't being that productive and bringing negative vibes.
Anyway so we only started to set out first feature at about 445. Maybe closer to 5. Crew was out by 9 i think which really isnt late imo. Maybe even a little earlier.
Anyway they left some stuff sloppy even though it was going to set up because "we'll finish it tomorrow".
I got out of the cat later, was already way crustier and started fixing some more shit . Didn't have time to finish there job because i still had to rebuild 2 jumps and groom everything else in our parks out.
Anyway got a pic posted and "How are we supposed to fix this" where i was digging because it setup. First, used your tools. And second i told you everything would be way easier with this setup.
Don't leave shit half done till tomorrow. Especially in these conditions.
Anyway now theyre bunming because i "fucked up their work" and I'm bumming because i can't get them to work.
I hate that we had 3 hand crew, dedicated cat, my boss stopped by and pushed a little snow for them and helped them rake as well. And our offering is meh.
"It's pretty sweet for this mountain" is the vibe. Like no fuck that. Fuck that. It should be pretty sweet in general.
You are limited by snow, terrain, time, staff etc. These things plsy a big impact in anything you do. We had more than enough resources we just dropped the ball.
I'm not proud of this setup to the point I dont even want to post a picture of it. Should i be stoked? Maybe more. It's ok. But i wouldn't still be doing this if i liked half assing stuff. Good enough should stay in the backyard features imo.
Next year if we do a rail jam i want to do it simple and lame, not be involved at all, or do the the build in advance and do all the hand shaping by myself. I don't want anyone bitch about not wanting to be there, or anyone half assing things.
I get that technically I'm being negative but it's because things just aren't up to par. When you've seen better setups go down in shit snow with the same or less people. Hell built shit where all the handwork was done in a night or 2 solo and included regrading things by hand, building take offs by hand, because the cat just pushed a bump of snow dropped the rails off and dipped.
Idk. We couldn't find a park supervisor this year. Hopefully we can find somebody good for next year. One of my friends from CO almost came out in dec but didnt pan out.
At the end of the day it's still an easy job, you have to do occasional work. Just please do something once in a while. When its chill af. People get to hang out inside a bunch of the day do minimal outside of setup ropes, sogns and a little shsping morning and end it's tough. I take a lunch break maybe once a week. Tonight's my 9th day straight. I went in on swing last night and stayed almost as long as grave.
I'm not saying i expect anyone to not take breaks. Take your breaks. Hang out. But when it comes to doing a few things just do them and do them right. Its simple. When it comes to a build, put in some effort and leave shit clean.
I shouldn't have even had to get out of my cat later on to do more shaping. Outside of showing them what things needed to look like or filling some stuff and showing better techniques should have gotten pretty close.
Idk i wasn't setting the bar anywhere near perfection but just loosely, this cut will go down this deep, this piece will be this wide, and expecting it to come out somewhat similar. If anyone has questions ask. But i laid it out very basic and showed pictures as examples. Showed them physically where to cut, where to move snow.
Idk, just not about putting in a fuck ton of effort on the one side and seeing people be lazy and worse bitchy about things while being lazy.
Shit sucks ass. It's hard when at a smaller park mtn. People want the job because its easy and the parks are easy and dont matter much. Getting people to step up is hard but parks don't progress from half assing shit the same as it's been.
Built a lot of plazas by myself or with a small. Crew has been bitchy and not getting things done. Build came out okay.
Left ro go home early instead of finishing when conditions were sn easy shape.
Also I'm in charge but technically just a psrk groomer. Not going in in the day to baby sit them and check on them anymore. I work too much for that shit
Still gonna do everything i can in my work, they can do whatever. Those guys can do whatever they do. Pretty much what they're going to do anyway.
Maybe next year we csn find some people who don't bitch about occasionally having to work at work.

Did you WebMD that shit?
There is definably nothing that needs to get removed and I sent a pic to the doc and they said they didn't see any signs of infection. not sure yet but ig the hole was just from frozen cells dying off
Two flights in a row sitting next to the most inconsiderate people of all time. The first guy was weird as fuck, kept laying down on the seat in between us, and then started rubbing my shoulder like we were well acquainted. Honestly think he might be developmentally disabled or something cuz this was a grown ass man with a kid. Second guy literally doesn’t even get up while boarding so I have to squeeze by him to get to my window seat. What the actual fuck is wrong with people
My one roomate is so dumb. He never helps out with anything so last Friday I told him to do the dishes. Dude literally just ran water over the dishes, no soap or anything and didn't even dry them off. None of us even noticed until last night so no we gotta redo them all
Yesterday fucking sucked. I’ve been taking care of a 68 year old COVID patient for the past two weeks. He has a history of COPD so he was in rough shape but he hasn’t needed ICU care. He had Covid for 2 weeks prior to coming in. At this point he is testing negative and docs believe his body has mostly cleared the virus. However the damage to his lungs is extensive and he had to be moved from high flow oxygen up to CPAP. CPAP/bipap are considered a step below being on a ventilator. His prognosis is grim. Because he’s testing negative this is now considered his baseline. He will live the rest of his live hooked up to this machine. Can’t leave his bed because his lungs can’t deliver his body the oxygen it needs to move. He is getting the bare minimum oxygen just to survive laying down at complete rest. He won’t make it out of the hospital.
It’s sad because usually when people make it to this point they’re not in their right mind or comatose. He’s still alert and oriented. This is usually a conversation we have with families but we had to have it with him. To tell someone who is this young and otherwise healthy aside from their lungs that they’re going to die on this machine and to make arrangements isn’t easy. The doctors don’t think his prognosis is any better going on a ventilator, it would just delay the inevitable. There’s no words to describe it. I can’t even imagine it. I don’t want to. Covid fucking sucks.
Meanwhile, right after having to go through this conversation with him I’ve got another patient who has had diabetes for years and claims he doesn’t have diabetes anymore angry that his pain meds were 8 minutes late 🙃 former IV drug user and I don’t normally accuse people of med seeking but I’m about 99% sure he is. He has a diabetic foot ulcer on his heel. It’s gross. It’s about 2 inches deep. I have to pack the wound with gauze which is incredibly painful. Dude handles the whole dressing change without wincing, no pain meds and says he feels nothing. The foot doesn’t hurt. 15 minutes later he needs his dilaudid (strongest opiate we give on the floor) because it’s so painful and he can’t take it… yet.. he just said he couldn’t feel anything in the foot lol. Now I get that people experience pain differently but the thing that really puts me over the edge for him is he complains that I don’t push his dilaudid fast enough… I HAVE to push it over 2 minutes otherwise I’m breaking the docs orders and working outside my scope of practice. I can lose my license. Whether I push it over 1 minute or 5 minutes it will not impact how much of the med he gets. He will still have the same degree of pain relief but pushing faster leads to the high feeling and other side effects (that can kill him). So the fact that he asks for that pretty much guarantees he’s seeking. I’m still going to give him his pain medication and give it on time when possible but the fact that I just had to tell a man he’s fucking dying then immediately get bitched at for his pain meds being 8 minutes late when I know he can fucking wait made me want to fucking scream.
Oh yeah and then the bills game just ripped my heart out and stomped on it. So… that was the icing on the cake

Call his mom and tell her son is a failure of a child and then beat him up
I’m never fucking filming anything on my iphone again it’s legit impossible to get them onto my computer, but then my camera literally dies when it gets below 30 degrees so stacking clips is a struggle

Batteries always suck. Keep it near your chest. Use google photos, its the easiest way to transfer between all the different devices.
ski_salmon69Ya that’s what I usually use but it literally takes forever to upload any clips over like 5 seconds and it’s annoying when I have a months worth
