If I sold my tickets 24 hours ago to this game (I had 17 2 were good season tickets and 15 of them cost about 12 bucks each) I wouldn't have even netted 20 dollars each yet I managed to squeeze out 600 bucks selling at the right time today. Cost me about 240 total. You know how to get that kind of return in a few months?

And this is just a bullshit run of the mill game I almost forgot I had tickets to.

BenWhitMy attitude is a direct reflection of how they have treated the place we pay to live in. I would very much love to have my own place, but as you can imagine, it is not easy to find a livable place for myself and my girlfriend at a price i can afford. My attitude is a reflection of coming home from work at 10PM on a tuesday night to my apartment trashed; beer cans all over the place, shot glasses everywhere, fireball all over the counter and kitchen floor, pizza boxes everywhere... and it stays like that until I clean it up. Because instead of getting off their asses and cleaning, respecting the place we pay $3000 to live in, they're sitting in their rooms smoking. I don't know a single person who is "happy" to live in a complete shithole and do all the work to make sure it doesn't turn into a shithole. So by saying i'm not "cool" because i don't really like cocaine & smoking weed is just fucking retarded, especially when I've had my own struggles with alcohol. But hey, to each his own. You may very well be a good businessman in your own right, so I'm sorry, I shouldn't have insulted you. If what you're doing allows you to get in some big ski trips, then shit, that's fucking awesome. I'm headed out to Utah in a week, weaseled my way into some vacation time, I can't wait.

And in 2 years when these kids have moved on and you are still faced with the dilemma of get a roommate in Boston or commute from fuck in Framingham you might wish you still had this sitch.

In 2009 I was able to rent out a closet sized bedroom in Newton with my boys for 300 bucks a month. U think I didn't miss that 2 years later from my mom's basement regardless of those kids issues?


And our story was when I moved in I tried to stop it being a frat house but one roommate didn't back me and the other kid kept drinking 24/7 with his brother while the clean neat freak roommate got all pms-your even tho he didn't have my back when I said cut the shit college is over. I ended up losing my jobs during this period and decided to just partake in the 24/7 brews and bong show. And when it ended I missed the apartment immediately.

It's not a couple days a week. These dudes can't go to sleep without being stoned out of their minds and half in the bag.

BenWhitdon't push it on me that i'm not "cool" because i don't do drugs & drink every single night. I have a great time on the weekends. I do my fair share of drinking. I have also had my fair share of struggles with alcohol. I don't, however, allow them to control my life much like the people i live with. I'm less than a year out of college and have the focus to have moved to a new job with a 15% pay raise working 60hr weeks in finance. I do just fine without bumping coke at 2Am on a saturday night in the living room of our apartment.

john18061806Hit Giants Ridge on a pristine 30 degree day and the park was closed for a usasa slopestyle comp which got me really pissed off, especially since there was no notice about it ahead of time and it was full of people doing flailing ungrabbed 1s and 3s that would then wash out on the landing and ice it up. Also for some reason there were skiers in the comp which doesn't make any sense to me because usasa is a snowboarding organization, damn pagans. I don't hate competitions, but I get pissed when my favorite park gets shut down for an exclusive group of terrible riders to compare themselves to other terrible riders.

john18061806at least some of the kids there are good enough to be competing, they are going off axis and shit, actually doing switchups and 4/6 outs. not the complete and utter bullshit that closed the park I wanted to hit where I saw a skier hit all rails on his run and HE DIDN'T EVEN SLIDE HALFWAY THOUGH ANY OF THEM. Like seriously, you're just wasting your time and my time and hogging up a rad park

(claiming here) when the comp was over I hit the park and brought the heat like a fucking arsonist to those skiers. blind 4 to sw lip front 6, seatbelt cuban 5, front swap pretz 4 on a kink rail. blew my mind that i linked that all in one run but i was super pissed and wanted to show these kids that comp skiing is not how you get good, but lapping/filming park with friends is.

even worse they were all having a little cluster orgy on one of the rails (sitting, stomping, & rimming) which royally fucked up the lip and how it was set. it was bad enough that you guys closed the park but if you fucking dare disrespect it to that level I will lose my shit. I asked them to leave nicely at first and it's a good thing they did.

DeebieSkeebiesi wouldn't say USSA events are great. yeah kids are probably better, but the judging is god fucking awful. a bunch of parents and coaches that really just want to give the awards to the little kids. Ive seen multiple runs with tons of corks and sick shit get beat out by some 7 year old doing threes and mute grabs.

BenWhitmaintain your vehicle and you'll be fine. I drive a Mazdaspeed3. I'm at almost 140k miles on the original turbo, tuned, with bolt-ons, and i drive it hard. Still going strong. Change the oil, check your connections, get an OCC. outside of a freak incident like this, you'll be OK.

theabortionatorWalked like 5 miles today for no reason. Was going to walk 19 ish miles from avon to eagle. Just got fed up with some bullshit, my car, trying to move, nobody picking me up hitching, and whatever and started walking. Really wasn't the worst idea but when it got really dark it got shitty. HAd no light and the road is narrow in places with lots of car dipping and blasting tunes. Ended up grabbing a bus home in the one town.

It was nice to walk for a bit though.
