Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Yeah I know for sure. It is just he sounded to cocky saying "Enjoy working your minimum wage job for the rest of your life" when plenty of drug addicts make plenty of money. Especially since coffee and beer are drugs. I am sure his buddies are deadbeats but that doesn't mean everybody who uses drugs for work or recreation are lazy. I am done beating the horse now..

My attitude is a direct reflection of how they have treated the place we pay to live in. I would very much love to have my own place, but as you can imagine, it is not easy to find a livable place for myself and my girlfriend at a price i can afford. My attitude is a reflection of coming home from work at 10PM on a tuesday night to my apartment trashed; beer cans all over the place, shot glasses everywhere, fireball all over the counter and kitchen floor, pizza boxes everywhere... and it stays like that until I clean it up. Because instead of getting off their asses and cleaning, respecting the place we pay $3000 to live in, they're sitting in their rooms smoking. I don't know a single person who is "happy" to live in a complete shithole and do all the work to make sure it doesn't turn into a shithole. So by saying i'm not "cool" because i don't really like cocaine & smoking weed is just fucking retarded, especially when I've had my own struggles with alcohol. But hey, to each his own. You may very well be a good businessman in your own right, so I'm sorry, I shouldn't have insulted you. If what you're doing allows you to get in some big ski trips, then shit, that's fucking awesome. I'm headed out to Utah in a week, weaseled my way into some vacation time, I can't wait.

If I sold my tickets 24 hours ago to this game (I had 17 2 were good season tickets and 15 of them cost about 12 bucks each) I wouldn't have even netted 20 dollars each yet I managed to squeeze out 600 bucks selling at the right time today. Cost me about 240 total. You know how to get that kind of return in a few months?

And this is just a bullshit run of the mill game I almost forgot I had tickets to.

And our story was when I moved in I tried to stop it being a frat house but one roommate didn't back me and the other kid kept drinking 24/7 with his brother while the clean neat freak roommate got all pms-your even tho he didn't have my back when I said cut the shit college is over. I ended up losing my jobs during this period and decided to just partake in the 24/7 brews and bong show. And when it ended I missed the apartment immediately.

so essentially, I'm in the same situation you were in. It's such a mindfuck. The kids I live with are super nice to me, we go out on the weekends and have a great time, but when it comes to everything else I'm just losing my mind. I wish i hadn't moved out so fast and had saved more, but living in Brighton has been a blast. I can walk to my office. You can't beat that. I'd like to be deeper in the city in the near future tho.

Love my mtn i work/ski at a lot, but the epic pass is defintely killing this place. everyone and their mothers ski here now. Its non stop crowds all week lonG.

BenWhitI'm all for having beers after work. But everyday? Getting blind drunk on a tuesday night then waking up and going to work the next day? That's budding future alcohol abuse. It's not a couple days a week. These dudes can't go to sleep without being stoned out of their minds and half in the bag.


So what.

BenWhitdon't push it on me that i'm not "cool" because i don't do drugs & drink every single night. I have a great time on the weekends. I do my fair share of drinking. I have also had my fair share of struggles with alcohol. I don't, however, allow them to control my life much like the people i live with. I'm less than a year out of college and have the focus to have moved to a new job with a 15% pay raise working 60hr weeks in finance. I do just fine without bumping coke at 2Am on a saturday night in the living room of our apartment.


I mean I worked plenty hard and got drunk and stoned every night. Lol at the thought of that making me a terrible person. I'm not saying that everyone should do that, but jesus dude, you need to lighten up a bit.

College age people drinking, and smoking, oh god know! People that aren't 40+ not acting like they're 40+ stop the fucking presses.

Why don't you move to a nice studio somewhere where you can be asleep every night by 8:30 and bang your broom on the ceiling if the people upstairs sneeze too loud.

I love my mountain and all but damnit these rich gapers piss me off more than anything. Stowe had to attract the hedge-fund asshole who's decked out in Arcteryx and rental skis/boots and thinks because he's rich he can do whatever the fuck he wants. I had to dig out some asshole's kid from a tree well today, which I'm happy to do, but when I go to tell him that he shouldn't let his 6 year old daughter in the woods alone he acts like I'm asking the world of him and skis off. Fuck those people.

Hit Giants Ridge on a pristine 30 degree day and the park was closed for a usasa slopestyle comp which got me really pissed off, especially since there was no notice about it ahead of time and it was full of people doing flailing ungrabbed 1s and 3s that would then wash out on the landing and ice it up. Also for some reason there were skiers in the comp which doesn't make any sense to me because usasa is a snowboarding organization, damn pagans. I don't hate competitions, but I get pissed when my favorite park gets shut down for an exclusive group of terrible riders to compare themselves to other terrible riders.

I think they do both. I remember having skiers and boarders at one of our usasa comps a while back. I wish more mountains would do non usasa comps though. I kind of got out of it around 05 when everything siwtched over. Sometimes you just want to show up for a single contest, not pay $$$$$$$$ for a series that you might not even go to the rest of. IT's a cool opportunity if you're trying to do nationals, but I miss the mellow 1 day events. They still have plenty of them but the mountains I used to go to for comps when I was younger pretty much got rid of everything other than usasa and it made me sad :(

How the fuck am I supposed to show up to this fucking meeting if you don't say a word to me about it? Like everyone else got the email but the info in it was to be kept private. So no one said anything to me about it. Now I'm getting blamed for not showing up. But like how the fuck was I supposed to know. Fuck this shit.


If I'm not able to apply for the position now I'm gonna be angry as fuck.

it was probably a rev tour or something. those are both skier and boarder events, at least they were when I did the competing bullshit.

the big line is fun but I am just too big of a pussy to do anything on those jumps, so I go cruise groomer laps and hot lap everything.

at least some of the kids there are good enough to be competing, they are going off axis and shit, actually doing switchups and 4/6 outs. not the complete and utter bullshit that closed the park I wanted to hit where I saw a skier hit all rails on his run and HE DIDN'T EVEN SLIDE HALFWAY THOUGH ANY OF THEM. Like seriously, you're just wasting your time and my time and hogging up a rad park

(claiming here) when the comp was over I hit the park and brought the heat like a fucking arsonist to those skiers. blind 4 to sw lip front 6, seatbelt cuban 5, front swap pretz 4 on a kink rail. blew my mind that i linked that all in one run but i was super pissed and wanted to show these kids that comp skiing is not how you get good, but lapping/filming park with friends is.

even worse they were all having a little cluster orgy on one of the rails (sitting, stomping, & rimming) which royally fucked up the lip and how it was set. it was bad enough that you guys closed the park but if you fucking dare disrespect it to that level I will lose my shit. I asked them to leave nicely at first and it's a good thing they did.

Got offered free tickets, place to stay, food in jackson last minute for my days off. Was excited. Had planned on just catching up on sleep since I was sick and hadn't had a day off in 2 weeks cause I worked the open on my days off, but whatever. The snow was supposed to be nice up there and free skiing.

Didn't even make it a 1/4 of the way and broke down in the middle of nowheresville. Spent 6 hours + chilling(literally) in my car.

Luckily I had hand warmers. Open all that I had and put them in between my shirt and hoodie. Had a sleeping bag I keep in the bag just in case. Had a party in the passenger seat. Skiing and WY are overrated as fuck. HAd an absolute blast kicking it in my car all night. AAA was all like "We can be there in 5 min" and I was like "Nah guys, take your sweet time, I'm having an EPIC time just hanging out here. If you want to come chill for a bit before you tow me that's cool, just bring some extra beers."

Honestly had so much fun that I might start doing it every week on my days off.

Extra stoked that $$$ was finally starting to come together and now I get to spend it on new and exciting things like towing and whatever the fuck is wrong with my car.

Suck it wyoming, I had the best night ever and I bet you're all jealous.

When I was skiing a week ago during my holidays, there were so many goddam gapers in the park cutting me and the other skiers there up, it was ridiculous. And before any of you say, there is a perfectly good beginner park for them. Not only this, but they also try to drop into the superpipe, and then proceed to ski pizza down the middle, really slowly pissing off everyone trying to hit it.



I mean, I understand people being keen to learn and stuff, but this is just annoying, they should still be on the bunny hill wtf.

Money. Their habits wouldn't be a problem if they took the time to respect the place we live. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Like I said, I'm all for partying Thursday thru Sunday & crushing a few beers after work.

i wouldn't say USSA events are great. yeah kids are probably better, but the judging is god fucking awful. a bunch of parents and coaches that really just want to give the awards to the little kids. Ive seen multiple runs with tons of corks and sick shit get beat out by some 7 year old doing threes and mute grabs.

finally someone with some common sense who can agree with me on this and not lash out at me for thinkng I'm hating on comp skiing as a whole. comp skiing could be great, but I really don't think younger kids should get wrapped up in it.

comp skiing is just another form of skiing like Big mtn and urban. the best thing about this sport is its all subjective. everyone has their own tastes and spins to the sport, and that's why I love it. we have street murderers, comp big guns, heavy hitters slaying the most insane Big mtn lines, and dudes who just kill it every where. I don't have an issue with comp skiing, I just wish people had more fun. I missed when Andreas Hatveit competed. Win or lose, he would always be smiling and just stoked to be here. Now people get all pissed off when they get bumped into third fucking place.



whatever, im high and rambling. do what you wanna do, guys. skiing is skiing and we all go downhill at some point. however you choose to go downhill is fine by me, just don't say im doing it wrong.

Idk if this is really a rant just shitty stuff. Car breaks down at dealership I was going to trade it in at. Have to take a monthly car payment on new car. On way back from dealership get rear ended. 3 weeks later the turbo dies and I need to pay 2500 in repairs. Exams are fucking bullshit and honestly thinking about just dropping. Skiing was the one good thing but after my injuries I'm so psyched out about hitting anything my progression is zero. Not to mention it went from 25 to 60 degrees in about 3 days which means the seasons that just started for some places in the mid west is already over. My work is restructuring so I most likely don't have a job and the only good thing is my girlfriend but I don't want to pass on these bad vibes to her. Probs won't get any response but you know what fuck life and all it's bullshit for,real this downwards spiral is killin me

also, don't buy a turbo car. I had one, tuned it, blew shit up, fixed it, blew it up again. Too much fun for young people, and with no warranties on used cars they are way to risky. Bought me a NA used car, drive the piss out of it, doesnt blow up.

also, don't buy a turbo car. I had one, tuned it, blew shit up, fixed it, blew it up again. Too much fun for young people, and with no warranties on used cars they are way to risky. Bought me a NA used car, drive the piss out of it, doesnt blow up.

maintain your vehicle and you'll be fine. I drive a Mazdaspeed3. I'm at almost 140k miles on the original turbo, tuned, with bolt-ons, and i drive it hard. Still going strong. Change the oil, check your connections, get an OCC. outside of a freak incident like this, you'll be OK.

So lots of fun stuff with work that I'll skip until the seasons over at least. But there's this race course next to our main park and they have gold, silver, bronze, and racer medals. So if bronze is like 45 seconds and you come down in 3:56 the guy announcing will be like "Good job jake on the blue course with a time of 3:56 good enough for that rrrrrrrrrrracer medal".

Nobody can lose these days. I guess I should be happy they still have gold silver and bronze.

Car is still broke, im kind of broke at least if i get a job out of the country, probably going to have to sell a kidney, testicle, my body, and my car.

Might be moving tomorrow. Kind of downgrading living situations but for the best actually as I'll be living in the town i work so I wont have to take the bus to work and hitch hike home. Also my roomate as mentioned above is on another level of special so i don't think at least I hope I can't do much worse in that department.

I finally got my fucking mail ive been waiting on for 1 month. Thanks USPS for sucking balls.

Big issue was the oil filter in the banjo bolt got gummed up. Even though I change the oil every 2000, but as soon as the turbo lost oil, it was basically the end of it.

Walked like 5 miles today for no reason. Was going to walk 19 ish miles from avon to eagle. Just got fed up with some bullshit, my car, trying to move, nobody picking me up hitching, and whatever and started walking. Really wasn't the worst idea but when it got really dark it got shitty. HAd no light and the road is narrow in places with lots of car dipping and blasting tunes. Ended up grabbing a bus home in the one town.

It was nice to walk for a bit though.

Me and my buddy did this down in Kansas City a few years ago. We were stuck there with no cars and just wandered around Town for like 5 hours I. The middle of the night

Why are there no helmet laws for motorcycles? I don't understand this concept one bit. Most of the people I see without helmets probably shouldn't be riding motorcycles/superbikes to begin with. call me a bitch but I would much rather be leathered-up with a nice helmet when im hauling dick at 80+mph balancing on two wheels.
