Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

dirt jumps, stuff is either super lumpy and hard sod/top soil or this super fine loam(i think) that does not pack well. and is pretty much non existent

I’d kill for some loose loam. love me some steep fast freeride stuff. But yeah have you tried digging down you might find a sandy clay that’ll pack nice or deposits of it

Fucking Walmart door greater, checker people! You know the fool that stops you now to check your receipt, I’ve walked past them before, complied whatever. Yesterday guy asks for my receipt, I show him, he starts counting cokes, now I got

2 Mexican coke cases of bottles
1 case of coke caff free
1 6pk Vanilla cherry Coke
3 ginger ale cases
1 4pk bottled root beer
lots of other stuff

-he says got a lotta cokes
-im silent, thinking just hurry up

He then says , you only got 3 cokes on your receipt, you have 4 ... I’m like huh!?!?

we bicker for a moment...
I say no I paid for all these ,I’m not gonna steal $3 in coke you fucking idiot! he scans my receipt 3 more times !

!no he exclaims and starts fingering my bags, you have 4, there’s some in bags and more not in bags there’s not this many on the receipt

so I fucking lose it, I’m screaming now

dont touch my shit, this is my property, your concern is the unbagged not what’s in the bag, put your mask over your nose and back the fuck up before I knock u the fuck out, I’m circling from pushing cart to positioning between him and buggy now, I put my chest to his and look down my nose, chest bump, snatch receipt from his hand, I scan , it actually took me a minute we had

chry van coc —- this confused him he never realized it was coke he couldn’t read obviously , so I told my wife to go, he fucking tries pushing past me , reaches to block her body not cart, big mistake, I slapped his hand so fucking hard, he left in an ambulance, I sat in a room waiting for police, they let me go 😁

Had a Karen moment today


I go to a 7/11 every morning at 5 AM for Coffee. Most days they have breakfast sandwhiches in the heated glass box ready to grab and go you know? I’m friends with the one clerk who works there on Mondays and Thursdays and he says that they are required to keep it stocked with hot food. All of the other cashiers do a good job of keeping it stocked except for this one lazy motherfucker who works there on Wednesdays and Fridays. This guy is easily 10 years older than I am and he is such a lazy asshole he NEVER stocks the fucking box. When I walk in when he’s working I have to slam the door open hard so he can hear me because if I don’t then he’s just going to chill in the back room.


anyway I go there this morning, lo and behold, the box isn’t stocked. I’m mildly annoyed like I always am. He comes out to ring me up while I’m making my coffee. I grab 2 of the frozen ones so I can heat them up myself. He rings me up. I go over to the microwave to heat them up and he says “oh the microwave is broken”. I ask for a refund and he says sorry that he can’t. At this point I’m fucking furious and I spiked my coffee on the ground out of rage. I am now banned from that 7/11

It is 1.29/ liter here in the U.K. which equates to 5.85/ gallon. Im sorry to say, its only going to get worse.

I swear only in Grand Rapids would all the fishermen get pissed about dams being removed. Looks like the river restoration project is likely to go through in the city now (finally) and all the bros with fish in their profile pictures are mad cause they won't be able to pretty much shoot them in the barrell at the fish ladder anymore. All claiming this project will ruin the fishing when in reality it will actually create habitats for fish to spawn and greatly improve the fishing upstream. Just mad they'll have to actually learn how to fish a river and share it with paddlers.

We just passed the worst law ever. It opens season on wolves with a goal of bringing idaho's wolf population from 1500 to 150. Wolves are vital to our ecosystem, and the argument that they kill deer and elk is bullshit. They kill the weakest and eat them, strengthening the genetics for next generation. They self motivated senators are annoyed that they lose a cow on their ranches every 5 years. I really like our governer but he fucked up he was kinda pressured by the state senators to green light this bullshit. Politicions are corrupt on both sides

So fucking done with NY. As much as I want to say it’s great the people here for the most part suck shit, the weather sucks shit, there’s never anything to fucking do close. And all my school friends and friends I’d skate with don’t wanna hang out anymore or skate. Ski and bike friends either live to far away or have sports going on. I hate it here Buffalo is the shittiest place on earth always gloomy and rainy nothing cool around it and just sucks

Colorado did the opposite recently and voted to reintroduce gray wolves. The measure promised compensation to farmers who lost livestock which is probably the only reason it passed.

I can honestly see both sides. Wolves will cost me money, either by:

a) Increasing meat prices by killing livestock (which does happen more than "once every 5 years"), or
b) Taking a cut from our already thin tax base when the government has to pay out to the farmers.

I don't really have an interest in subsidizing wolves, especially now that they've proven to be unnecessary in our ecosystem. CO hasn't had any since 1940. Basically I can see why you're pissed but there are plenty of farmers who would rather not have taxpayer-funded pets running around and eating their source of income.

That said I did end up voting for reintroduction just because I don't think it's our place to pick and choose what species get to exist.

I mean that's fair it'll be a loss of money but killing off almost an entire wolf population just for cattle seems extreme. Here in Idaho wolves do kill a very small portion of our cattle but so much more cattlre dies from diseases and such. Wolves are still important for our wildlife, mainly beavers.

Whether or not it was the right decision or not, it should have been done by fish and game, the experts. Not politicians

I was at the stoplight near my house in SLC this morning, looked at the Speedway across my street, $3.25 for unleaded, just said what the fuck out loud to myself, good thing they give me a rewards card every time I’m in there.

I don’t think you need to sign up, they usually scan it when they give it to you (activates it?) and then it just worked or at least didn’t give an error when I scanned mine recently, for once lol. I might use it more though cause it’s right by my house on the way to basically everything for me and i drive a fuck ton to work and skiing weekly so might as well save like $10 a week mayb.

Idaho Falls itself sucks major ass. Like holy fuck it is so god damn depressing. However, you're super close to some cool shit. Targhee is 40 min away, Jackson is 2 hrs, and Pebble Creek is probably 1hr. The Big Holes are close, and theres tons of good biking/hiking/hunting around. Theres lots of cool camping spots up and down the Snake River. The Sawtooths and Yellowstone are also very close. If ya can handle a shitty, boring meth tow, everything around IF is fun.
