Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

I suppose it’s a bit different for me since I live extremely close to my local hill but I’m at the point where if somebody wants to ski with me, they can meet me there. Been strung along too many times like you guys describe


I’m about 1:15-1:30 away from the “local” hill... I try to help out buddies when they need a ride - saves gas, less cars, more enjoyable burn cruise to the hill, etc...

with that being said, when I lived out west on the mountain, priorities were a little different. Midwest skiing is pretty much groomers because new snow doesn’t exist lol

I hate it when Lupito my chihuahua tries to attack me. I get scared shitless and I hit my hand really hard with the table the other day because of that stupid asshole that I somehow have gotten really attached to. I couldn't move my thumb for a week and now it feels like I need PT to get back my range of motion. So lame.

my left knee has been bugging like a mf. Its been hurting pretty bad and i can’t really take any deep impacts on it so it prevents me from sending shit i’d normally send. The part i don’t understand is that my knee was feeling great then ssuddenly
one day it didn’t. I don’t know if i should get it checked out now or just ski with the pain until the seasons over.

We went from 12-15 forks to 4. Shitty roommate had been cooking in his room which was fun becauese thin paneling walls really absorb sound when you bump things into it. But yeah think he dipped with some of our fork stash. Fuck that dude sucked.

My flight had to return to the gate because someone refused to put a mask on their kid. So a 3hr flight turned into 5. People need to grow up.

Kids under 4 don’t need to wear them for whatever reason.... we’re not allowed to enforce the mask restriction on children under 4 at work. I guess they’re too young or have superior immune systems that they won’t get the virus and/or pass it to anyone else

It's actually less than 2yo and the reason for not using less than that is listed below straight from the AAP. Kids tolerate masks really well so while certain kids may have behavioral issues, the vast majority can be taught how to wear a mask by their parents.




Also kids have been shown to carry higher viral loads than adults.

Well, a few months ago, I started talking to a girl I used to know years ago, and we really hit it off. Like really fucking hit it off. Like I've never met anyone before that I've felt this way for. Same interests, same life path, same retarded sense of humor. We'e been talking for months, then progressed to hikes. Finally decided we trusted each other enough to spend the weekend at her parents cabin. Went miles better than I was expecting. Like what in the fuck have I done in this life to deserve a woman like her? Get up this morning, and a few hours into the day, get a sore throat and start feeling kinda crappy. Called the lady, and went and got a covid test. Now I've gotta be locked in my room for the next few days freaking out that I've exposed her, and our families to this shit. Fuck. Just when life starts to get good, God comes back and puts me in my place. I don't know how I'm gonna live with myself if my test comes back positive.

every time my local mtn gets snow it then hits above 35 degrees that day, so the next day is a ice rink. Meanwhile they post on their gram and website that its gonna be a "pow day" with their 2" of fresh ice

My aunty didn't tell my dad she is BRCA1 gene positive. He now has stage 4 Pancreatic cancer caused by the BRCA1 gene he had no idea he had. Should could have told him 3 years ago and saved his life but she decided not to tell him.

Online dating is the biggest load of bullshit ever. It's impossible to carry a conversation and when you do finally start talking to a girl it's like navigating a fucking minefield. I was just talking to this chick about fly fishing which is something I'm barely even into because she's not into skiing. I ask her what rivers she likes to fish, sounds innocent enough imo. I get hit with "yeah no I can't tell you that". Like what am I gonna do? drive hundreds of miles of river and stalk you or something? I'm literally just trying to have a conversation about some bullshit I don't even care that much about. I almost want to go back to my cheating emotionally manipulative ex because at least she's not THAT crazy. I can't wait for all this covid shit to be over so I can actually go out and meet people.

Yeah, outdoor season is coming. Tons of people are going to flood for the next two months. Ive noticed it getting busier over the last few weeks. Ive also noticed a lot more......uhhhhh not climbers heading in. They don't really understand the etiquette. Im all for new people in the sport, but at least make an effort to be respectful. And please god please stop flooding the place with greek life bros and hoes

Went there the other week and these two dudes were hogging small wall, sitting right next to the wall and spread out enough so nobody else could climb. Went up and asked them if i could hop on a route. Got really awkward and they just left.

Dude I tried online dating for years on the free apps and It never worked. It’s all bullshit. I’ve realized the only times I’ve ever gotten into any sort of sex or relationship is by meeting people in person. Try to find groups to join, go to bars. Hell talk to coworkers you find cute. Tinder and bumble are cancer.

You involve the police. Sever them 30 days and at the 30 day mark if they aren’t out ask for the police to watch a move out.

He can still pull tenants rights since he’s technically living there. But yeah, maybe reach out to a domestic violence group in your area for advice? They can help you navigate this. An emergency protection order can get him out of your place, as it’s like a restraining order

i have a girlfriend who’s currently going through this shit. Her ex was an abusive piece of shit (who has in the past and since) that finally has 3 OOP’s against him. He has a history in 3 different states and is finally going to have a felony on his record and a tracking bracelet for at least the next 3 years. I can’t stand guys that abuse women.

My sister and boyfriend live upstairs so like for the most part all is well but yeah idk. He was the one who said he was getting out and I was like thank the lord and then he never moved out and now I’m too scared to bring it up because I don’t want to make him mad. But I should probably tell him to leave and give him like a clear defined timeline to get out and then if he doesnt then, police? Lmao it’s so stupid. I should have never even let him move in here in the first place but live and learn I suppose.


But yeah they ended up leaving at the beginning of December!
