Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

People who arent very good but complain on social media that whatever local park needs bigger features. I see it all the time, and a lot of times they're douchey about. Everything from people who can do a really gross 3 with a shitty grab on a 25' jump, barely make it to the end of a 20-25' down bitching that they need 60 foot jumps. Like sure dude. Even better when they're straight jerries. Social media where every clown has a voice.

some dude went to work with Covid symptoms and gave it to my brother. my brother has been awesome about being safe too - he’s not ignoring local regulations.


now my main skiing/mtb partner is down for the count, and my other friend just tore his ACL.


also my feet smell like trash all the time idk why it started happening

That sucks. I hate when people dont maintain all the parks. Vail used to be like that with makaha or whatever that one was called. Was a waste of time going over there because everything would be beat. They had some small stuff in gp though. But just meant in tems of not maintaining certain parks or features they don't want to ride.

Yeah I've always had a little soft spot for dry gnarly conditions - being hyper alert and toothpicking down the wind scour... whacking bushes and hopping over little rocks and grass patches. I get off on the challenge.

Not to say I wouldn't love way more snow, but I'm making the best of it.

i think part of it is growing up in Michigan, having the ski hill basically be like latchkey for me and my sisters while my parents either worked all day or all night, so the little bit of working class/blue collar in me is always appreciative for any and all kinds of skiing in any condition. Utah kids dont understand haha

Some shoes just hold the stink once they get too skinky. Washing machine won't do anything.

I broke my ski boot and it was under 12 months so got a free replacement. The ones that broke smelt like shit never knew what it was any my 15 year old ones before that never got that bad. Replacements are fine.

New guitar came, actually isnt fucked but different color. I like the other way better. Kinda sad. Am i being dumb? I mean its a $700 guitar. A little salty. Also they tried to fuck me on the first one. Packed it terribly and offerent me 49 bucks to keep it with all the chips.

Told my boyfriend i was wild uncomfortable loading the sled in my truck and needed his help since my new trailer gets her Saturday. Roommate is a bitch and wouldn’t let me keep it in the garage until he tomorrow when he had time to load it and then we could grab my old trailer m so i had to put it in my short bed pick up. Blew my window out. $300 repair and need to buy a headache rack. Fuck i am dumb. Even told my roommate to film it so i could send it to my dad when i fucked it up.

Just fed my dog in the kitchen. He immediately walked into my bedroom and puked it up all over the carpet. Why the hell are dogs like this. Why couldn’t he have puked on the kitchen linoleum? Why did he have to eat so fast in the first place? Ugh

pressing F for that homie in the tacoma w/ a poptop camper thats been put on blast by the UDOT social media feed and other BC skier community feeds for car-camping along side the road in the cottonwoods...but yeah, you cant really do that around these parts sadly.

Cabrefae really needs to chill on the country club vibes. Super fun hill and great ticket value but also the only place that I have had ski patrol tell me to cool it and have been yelled at by other skiers. Sorry old man but some of us like to go fast as shoot way to far off the snow whales.

its interesting seeing the contrasts in patrol units in the west. vs the midwest/east obviously because of the workload. But yeah, i remember all the patrollers in SE michigan at some of those ski hills all being older guys who were volunteers doing it for the free pass and the cool looking jacket, and were always on kids asses about hitting jumps. Respect the hell out of patrollers, first responders, EMS, paramedics, etc., but chill out boys, you ski a 200 vertical foot hill. Come talk to some of the guys and gals that gotta do like 12 hour rotations during huge storm cycles to mitigate avy danger lol

always love the heros when im back in south dakota skiing.

Honest to god one year we had a patroller who was taking lessons every morning before her shift. She could barely make it down a blue run lol.

We had one single rad patroller who used to patrol over in France. jacques. Guy was a badass and the only one without a stick in his ass. Showed us a couple of OB zones in his patrol area that he said he would turn a blind eye to. Always hounded us to take him to the park to teach him rails. For being 60ish he was the man.

fuck i have no motivation to do any sort of work or school anymore. Im so god damn burnt out. Glad i have to TA, do my internship, write a thesis and go to class this semester. Thats going to go so great.

Whoever in the program decided that it was a good idea to try stacking those all in the final semester is insane. Ive yet to hear from a single prof that thinks its good. They always just say the board decided. Yay. Glad we get to be your guinea pigs. Some of my buddies are going to be working three jobs while doing it. It doesn't make sense.


I have a strange feeling my 3.9 gpa is going out the window this semester. Shame. I wanted to get magna cum laude again.

People who don't understand lines, and are also aggressive douchers.

So coming home from work(just driving to a farther parking lot lol) I have to make a left turn. Whenever it's busy, which for a while was every day, there's a stream of traffic coming up. Anyway, even when there's a gap, or traffic stopped and a car is lagging and going slow, if you pull to turn in to my lot, people will come racing at you. Like motherfucker, you're still going to catch up to the guy in front of you going 2mph. Also this is coming into all the lots and technically the whole road is 35, but this section is the end. Like dude waiting for me to take a left has no impact, and you're not even waiting. Just please don't hit me, I worked all night I just want to drink a beer, cry, play my guitar, and go to bed to do it all again.


Idk. I don't get that with people. I see it in airports too. I had a bunch of shit a couple times. Not that much but a big board bag and another bag. I didn't feel like moving up every time guy in front of me moved up 3 or 4 feet. Guy behind me said something douchey to me about moving up. I was tired, and slightly drunk enough to throw words at him about how dumb he was and how 7 people in line was 7 people in line whether or not you were sniffing the person in front of you. People don't get it.

Also had a trucker, fuck anyone can be a trucker these days, start losing it because car in front of me was about 30 feet in front of me and I didn't move up. I drive a stick, fuck it, I'm not moving up every time we creep sometimes. I'll pu,l up next time and chill behind him. I get it, you hate traffic, so do i. You want to get somewhere, so do it, but it literally has no impact on your time whether I waited for 250 feet, or was 3 inches off the car in front of me's bumper. It's single lane with an accident, nobody is passing me or cutting in, chill the fuck out.


Idk people are cooked. I really hate lines and traffic, but people lack the ability to process thoughts with actual logic and instead act on bullshit emotional feelings that make little to no sense.

Idk fuck off. If you're a dick about that stuff I'm just gonna fuck with you.

Yeah I did go out. Ohhh was a home run pulling that couger out of her rut! Some drinks at Pie Bar, dinner at Vinto, and catching a dude trying to cheat on his wife with her and lecturing him out of the room at Cabin.

Driving home calling out every man that's ever wronged her in her life as a SCOUNDREL.

I hit her with a line during appetizers like, "If you hadn't stood up and gone through all this adversity, then you would've been the victim in your story. Instead, you fought for you life and overcame, and you are the hero. Most people would've rolled over, but you are a hell of a fighter."

I could see a switch flip in her eyes. That was the moment. She has been beaming and overjoyed the last couple days. Charging super hard with her small business plans, hitting up old friends, and feeling bold and bossy. I'm stoked for her.

I usually don't hate on snowboarding. Snowboarding is cool. But when there are 4-5 snowboarders standing in the way at the top of the lift all strapped in.... that just annoys me. Let me through

God damn, I wonder how many Cali people living in promontory got the vaccine in PC. At least people are getting it here, that’s the silver lining I guess but for sure the true people from PC should be prioritized. I still feel like some of us at the resort should be a priority if they wanna keep PC healthy and going, I mean the resort restaurants are open for indoor eating so that’s just one way to spread it fast, think I heard the Spurs been dirty lately too.
